Visited Boeger Winery all the way from the UK. The most beautiful day, outdoor space, delicious wines and the perfect family-friendly or event venue. We had the best day, thank you Boeger!

We've been members of Boeger's wine club for a number of years, and they never fail to impress! Love having access to their amazing selection of rarer Spanish and Italian varietals, in particular. Winemaker Justin Boeger is a true talent - lucky to have him and his staff doing their thing right here in the Capitol region!

Really great winery. Went to Boeger after a hike with family right before Thanksgiving . The setting is gorgeous. We really enjoyed the wine. Our recommendation is that you pair a bottle or a few glasses with a charcuterie tray and make a picnic of it.

Beautiful setting, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and wines are pretty good and reasonably priced. There really is no bad seat in the whole place. This is probably my favorite winery in the area. There's even a really cool little blacksmiths shop in the back that always has different wares for sale. We will visit this place every year on our annual moms bday girls trip!

Love their gardens! Very peaceful! Came on a weekend and not too crowded! Great views! Fruit trees everywhere! I'm and a regular visitor!

We came in on Nevada Day and were given free wine tasting with our Nevada ID. Normally, the wine tasting is $15.00 per person and you can try 6 of their wines. While the husband is a fan of reds, I drink white wines. We had great conversation with our wine taster and took 3 bottles home. Best of all they also have a variety of charcuterie boards from another local store and crackers to purchase after your tasting! We bought a charcuterie board and crackers and sat on their property which has a lot of picnic tables on the grass. What a way to enjoy the nice October day. Also, this winery is dog friendly which is one of the reasons we enjoy visiting here when we are in the area.

We had a picnic here. Serene setting, warm and welcoming. The staff is amazing and friendly. We enjoyed the bottle of Tempranillo with our lunch.

Day date with the hubby to Apple Hill and this was stop number one. Super easy to find... but just FYI the driveway is super skinny so go slow driving in and out of the winery. We really liked how small and family like this place is, we go to a lot of wineries and this place be will definitely fall into the top. They really take pride in the place, it's so nice and kept beautiful which I really appreciate. We did a wine tasting and let me start by saying the tasting room is extremely nice and well maintained. The bar where you taste everything is just beautiful! I was very surprised by the price of the tasting... it was about $30 for the two of us, not bad at all and the gal that helped us was amazing!!! She knew so much about the grapes, winery, location, I was just overall impressed with her. Now the wine... yes! I love it, we bought two bottles to bring home, everything we tried, which was the entire tasting menu was outstanding. I highly recommend everyone stop here when they take a trip to Apple Hill, it's a great place to take a break and taste some amazing wine.

Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic people. I had the chance to visit Boeger on one of their concert nights and it was a great experience. Everyone was outside feeling the music, bringing their picnic food and enjoying the evening. I'm not super knowledgeable on wine but the staff pointed me in a good direction on a few selections and it made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the area.

My experience with them was at the Barbara festival. Very decent wine. However, very poor customer service. Rude, demeaning, inconsiderate and very unprofessional. I don't offend easily, but they offended and embarrassed a very nice young woman without cause. Unfortunately I cannot give them a half star.

I don't drink wine, so it's impossible for me to review that aspect of the operation. However, the picnic grounds are absolutely fabulous. Boeger, by far, is the best picnic spot at Apple Hill. Plenty of shade, and nice surroundings. They do have a few snacks down in the tasting room, typical selection for a winery. Definitely worth it to get away from the hustle and bustle of the ranches.

First let me say, I'm not an expert at wine... but I know what I like. I also enjoy the venue and hospitality of a winery, brewery or restaurant as much as I like the food and beverage sometimes!I brought my family up to Apple Hill for the peach festival for the first time not really aware of the vast wine industry that resides in this beautiful part of California. After partaking in the peach festivities, we found ourselves wanting to check out Boeger (after we drove by on the way up the hill) because of the absolutely gorgeous, sprawling vineyards you can see from the road.It did not disappoint. It was brutally hot but we found shade outside by the pond, probably making it 10 degrees cooler and enjoyed our flights, favoring the white and Rose considering the weather... and shared a bottle of Rose with some of our recently purchases fruit and some cheese we bought in the tasting room! The young lady who served us in the tasting room was charming and moved quickly since she knew I had my little boy with us, but not so fast that we felt rushed.Side note- the proximity to the rows of grapes made for some awesome pictures with the family that we didn't expect.I was told this is an amazing place during the fall so we'll try to get back up here then in September or October!

I have visited many wineries between Napa, Amador County and now Placerville, there are too many good wineries out there to come back to Boeger for me. However, the grounds are gorgeous and inviting! You get to choose 6 of 12 wines to taste. Of the wines I tried, mostly whites and 2 reds, they were ok, and I liked the 2 of the whites. I will say of our group of 5 tasters, two have been wine club members of Boeger (one for over 20 years and the other for at least 10 years), I was less than impressed with the lack of knowledge of their audience and continued supporters. The rigidity of our pourer (and other staff) we encountered is unmatched for any pourer I've seen in the wine industry over the last 30 years. Most of the wineries we frequent look at the computer and at least know member names, know how long we have been supporting them and their products and offer tastings above the standard usuals to give our palate something different. In addition, our party of 5 tasters that included the 2 members, we had a driver (who was not tasting) and a plus one that wanted to taste as well but not with all of us "moms" in another room. He had to pay for his own tasting. Needless to say, I did not go hog nuts ordering extra wines nor did I decide to join the wine club.
