Best damn chinese food in a 100-mile radius!! Every single dish I've gotten from here has been delectable. Only gripe, it is their hours. I know they are only 2 people, but opening a 3 can be a little annoying. But dont let that let you not go to this fantastic hidden gem...nevermind dont come here i want it to myself. Please bring back the lunch deal?

We miss dining in since they've been to-go only for quite some time, but their take out is on point! Super friendly service and the food is amazingly fresh! We especially love how each dish has its own unique flavor profile!

Iron Wok is a 'take out only' place now. No problem with that. They absolutely have the best tasting ginger beef I've ever had anywhere. I highly recommend this Chinese food restaurant.

Maybe I just ordered a bad dish they don’t get a lot of requests for (twice cooked pork), but the food was not very good at all. I love Chinese food so eat it all the time from different restaurants in SF Bay Area… this one really missed the mark very much to my surprise. Based upon reviews I would absolutely give them another try but perhaps order one of the more popular dishes. Nice Clea spot, friendly professional staff and even fellow customers. Again, I suspect I just picked a dish they don’t do as well as others.

Checked this placed out while visiting Placerville and glad we did. The only negative is they only had take out. The owners were friendly and welcoming and gladly took our order very quick. We ordered and the food came out daily quickly. Drove home and when I got home the food was still warm, delicious and very good and would definitely saying tasty with flavor profile. The chicken in black bean sauce was the best. Very good flavor and great tasting. I just like the flavor of black bean sauce. The broccoli beef was good and also full of flavor. The shrimp fried was well cooked and again packed with flavor. Overall this is a great place for Chinese food in Placerville and definitely a place to eat if in the area and will definitely go back when I visit Placerville and in the mood for Chinese. The ambiance is small hometown Chinese diner with excellent customer service.

This was the first time we tried Iron Wok. We ordered takeout. We will definitely go again! We had potstickers, crab filled wontons, sweet and sour prawns, Chicken with season Vegetables, BBQ pork fried rice and house special Chow Mein. All were delicious and fresh. Very large portions and it was ready right when we were told it would be. Loved it!

I was really looking forward to eating at this restaurant after all of the good reviews, but that was not the case. First of all, the menu pricing is lower than what they charge when you order. Their hours are not 11am-8pm, they are 3pm-8pm. After ordering food here it's clear why they are takeout only, I ordered the Orange Chicken and the Chow Fun which was $32. When I got home and opened the containers the Chow Fun was a very dark color, which was weird, because I've never seen it that color before. It also fell apart when I tried to eat it with a fork. It also did not have the flavor of being cooked on a wok. it tasted bland like it was soaked in soy sauce (which is probably why it looked so dark). The chicken looked ok, but when I tried to eat it, it was so tough I had to spit it out. I tried a couple pieces and they were all the same, impossible to chew, and I had to spit them all out. Orange chicken has a great taste, but what I tasted when I put a piece in my mouth was almost tasteless. There was almost no orange sauce in the bottom of the container. It was clear that the noodles and the chicken had to be very very old, and they were not cooked in a wok. The bottom line was that $32 and the food (if you can call it that) all went immediately into the trash. I really love Chinese food, and have been hoping for a good one to open up in Placerville. Its disappointing, maybe someday we will get a good Chinese and Thai restaurant.

What a hidden gem!!! The food here is amazing!!!! We ordered honey walnut prawns and Mongolian beef!!!! Both dishes were seasoned perfectly!!! The prawns were fresh and a nice size!!!This is definitely a mom and pop restaurant, which is probably why they aren't offering dine-in.Order the takeout!!! It's worth eating in your car!!!

One of the best local restaurants in the sea for Chinese. Still takeout only due to staffing but fabulous none the less. Salt & Pepper prawns are a must try. Please support this neighborhood gem!!
