The food is outstanding . Their Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken is one of the best I have eaten in the Bay Area. Their service is so warm and kind, even a pick up experience is so graciously handled and serviced. A MUST TRY!!

The owners are very friendly, kind and accommodating. They always remember me and make an effort to talk to me and catch up. Besides the owners the food is outstanding. It is really hard to find good Indian food and this place is the best I have ever had and I have tried a lot. I now live in Mountain House and still travel to Pleasanton to get food from here. They always make my food spicy as I request very very spicy. I only wish that they had more locations. Try this place yesterday!

Small place with very good food. The service was fast and welcoming. If you are in the area stop by and grab some food.

Had a take out yesterday. Three most famous dish from Ashoka. Navratan Korma - frozen boiled vegetables added to pre made gravy making it tasteless and slimy. Paneer Kadhai - Paneer added to premade gravy making it watery concoction. Still guessing was this gravy or soup. Chicken tikka - was good that is why gave one star. Tasteless lumpy rotis. Please stay away.

What's with no buffet since covid? Hmmm, I wonder why the place is empty? The food is good.

This restaurant is great. On all aspects whether it may be customer service, sanitation, or food. Kai was our server and he was a delight. Would definitely come back.

Worst Restaurant Ever, very VERY bad at everything. The staff is horrible and have no idea how to treat a customers. They’re un-professional and very dirty. Secondly the food was stale, kinda cold and very unsanitary overall. Like this place was actually really Realy BAD. Please don’t go here, I would rather go to McDonalds. *threw up after eating… everything was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! Yuck…

Wonderful and amazing flavors! Very friendly staff, helpful in selecting your dish. A small casual restaurant, making lunchtime, a delight.

Food is delicious. Portion is small ,but just fit the price. The garlic naan is crispy and the aromatic of garlic teste so good. We ordered shrimp tikka Masala and chicken korma, too. I like them. I like to eat their Bhatura dipped with Masala sauce.

I like the food here a lot! They are very nice people serving decent Indian food. It’s my go to place for samosas and butter chicken.

Ashoka is our go-to place nearly every weekend. We have consistently been pleased with the delicious food here. We recommend the chicken korma and biryani dishes. Good portions. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!

I think we have found our new favorite Indian restaurant! Doesn't look like much from the outside as it's nestled in the corner of a small strip center, but make sure you don't pass this place up! We walked in and were immediately greeted by the gentleman at the register. Right off the bat, we felt welcomed. We ordered the butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, garlic naan, butter naan, and rice. The butter chicken is to die for; it's spicy and creamy with a hint of sweetness from the tomatoes. The vindaloo was tender, spicy, and SO flavorful. The naan was thin and crispy yet so soft and again, absolutely delicious. We asked the gentleman manning the front if we should order more and he said he thought we were getting enough (two adults) but made recommendations for next time that we are excited to try. Overall, a great first experience and we are very happy. We will definitely be coming back!

Small family owned restaurant, really cozy and clean. Came here with my coworkers on a late Saturday evening and it was not busy, so we were seated immediately. The host (I'm assuming he is the owner) was very friendly and attentive but not overbearing during our entire meal. Food was really good! We ordered chili pakora, vegetable samosa, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, garlic naan, rice, and mango lassi. Despite the small portions, it was filling and everything was delicious. Would recommend!

I have posted the review for this restaurant earlier and somehow it has been removed. Posting it again. The experience with this restaurant has been so bad that I am taking the effort to rewrite it. This restaurant has below average food, poor service. The naan I bought once had fish smell, normally the curry's have too much oil and no taste. Please note that this review is for vegetarian food. With so many great vegetarian restaurants around - no reason from me to re visit this place
