The name of this place fits perfectly! Cafe Joy has brought a smile to my tastebuds! First time here and immediately adoring the lovely couple, behind the counter. I had the California Turkey Avocado sandwich (minus the turkey ~ I'm a veggie gal), on whole wheat, with pepper Jack cheese, with tasty roasted vegetables (seasoned deliciously) on the side, and a piece of baklava, to top it off. YUM, YUM and YUM! There is a variety of beverages, snacks, sides and other desserts. I intend to try more, on my next visits. Go there ~ Cafe Joy will not disappoint!

Older woman employee overcharged me. Prices on menu do not reflect what she rang up on the register. I pointed it out and she ignored me on purpose. Microwave American cheese and low quality food. Menu not modern, better suited for a senior home.

Having a quick lunch... tuna melt is excellent, fresh vegetable salad delicious! You can tell the owners love what they're doing here! Very friendly, very quick, a nice setting to eat inside the Atrium building here. Hooghly recommend for lunch!! They also do breakfast and coffee. Great little spot!!

Hidden gem!! Nestled in a corporate building next to Stoneridge Mall - I would never know about this place unless I worked in an office there. Thankfully the husband decided to walk to Wells Fargo today and noticed their sign out front. We were back an hour later to try their homemade soup of the day (chicken noodle, yum) and coffee. So peaceful sitting in the atrium listening to the water fountain :) They opened their business in 2018, and I'm so glad they persevered through the pandemic. They do accept card now so definitely visit to support! Very welcoming and warm couple as others have mentioned. Can't wait to try their sandwiches, and everything is very reasonably priced!

Beautiful atrium dining area, nice folks, hearty food. Nothing super fancy on the menu - sandwiches, soups, breakfast omelets, coffees, teas (including real mint tea!) - though the ambiance of the atrium is wonderful.

I'm a regular and love it here! Some things I can wholeheartedly recommend are: turkey avocado French bread sandwich with raspberry Her soups!! Any kind! Rice and meatballs! Their pesto pasta was a one time thing and it was so delicious! Just go pls. You won't regret it. 10/10! This place is so authentic! It is owned by a really nice couple. Their are super sweet and friendly. They are very flexible with how you can order. You can order through the phone, online and in person. I've taken all my coworkers here and they've all loved the place. Their food is homemade and feels like real food vs something you'd buy at Cheesecake Factory that's been packaged for months.

Despite Covid, this wonderful cafe in the Atrium, remains open. Their turkey breakfast sandwich is very good. Their business has been hit hard by people now working from home. They are staying open to service whomever is still here and in need of good food. However, to keep their prices low and reduce overhead, ie credit card company fees, they currently only accept cash. Please, go support this local cafe. The food is wonderful, the couple is pleasant and caring.

I had not visited Cafe Joy in Pleasanton since before the pandemic, and I am so happy to see that it is still there! Taj, the owner is as warm and welcoming as ever. In addition to the daily menu that is posted she always has a dish or two made fresh that day and is happy to share a taste with you. Today I enjoyed her stuffed baked eggplant today and it was delicious! This gem of a restaurant is tucked away inside the Atrium Building at 5776 Stoneridge Mall Rd. There is an open and airy atrium in the center of this business complex with tables in the middle so you can enjoy the lush plants, trees and sounds of the calming fountain. The setting is truly a treat for the senses, and Taj's hospitality will keep me coming back!

Needed to grab a quick breakfast before work. I ordered online and my order was ready fast. The breakfast burrito I got was delicious and filling, as well as the smoothie I got. Salsa was super fresh and seemed house-made. The owners were super friendly and following Covid protocols. Going back tomorrow morning for another round!

I stopped to get a sandwich, but unfortunately they were only taking cash because their credit card systems were down. I told the lady I only had my card and the nearest atm was across the street. I was on my break and I really didn't have a lot of time. Without any hesitation she told me to just pay her back when ever I was free. Granted I don't work in the area and I told her I wouldn't be back until next month because she was closing soon. She still insisted I ate, she said, "it's lunch time you should eat" and it was ok if I didn't pay her right away. Didn't feel right not paying her at the moment so I ran out to the ATM to get some cash. She's been the nicest, most kindest person I've come across. With all the BS going on right now we need more people like her. I just wanted to tell her thank you for her kindness, hopefully she reads this review.

Stopped in to grab a quick lunch, they are very friendly and kind. Ordered off the menu but changed a few things, the lady made my sandwich exactly the way I wanted it, and it was delicious! I also ordered a sugar free iced espresso, which was also perfect! I work next door so I will definitely take a walk and get lunch here more often!
