The food was okay but the service was not good. They were very rude so I will not be returning to this location.

This is a fast casual concept that stemmed from the great Buckhorn Steakhouse in Winters, CA. I've been to other Buckhorn Grill locations and, unfortunately, this one in Pleasanton is not one of the better ones. The biggest room for improvement is the cleanliness. When we arrived, there were dirty plates with food left on multiple tables and the tables that were available had crumbs left over from previous diners. We had to take napkins and wipe down our table and chairs. The drink station was not kept clean and the sauces on the tables were not kept fresh as some bottles would not dispense due to being clogged with old sauce on the tip. It was not too busy when we arrived so to me this indicates lack of care. I've always been a big fan of Buckhorn's tri tip and salads. The flavor of the Cabo Chop salad was very delicious (the honey lime dressing has always been a fave), but I did not enjoy the cold chopped tri tip and the parts of lettuce that had became translucent from being frozen. I may just do a to go order when I'm craving some of their flavors as the food concept and recipes are good, but I definitely will not be dining in again. Meal cost per person will run about $20 with a soda. Best way to access is the 2nd floor of the mall next to the Forever 21.

Mama was in-town, so we all hopped in the car and headed to the Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton. Never really been, so we found parking (the backside, Forever 21), and headed in -- not without peaking into Buckhorn Grill...scratching and sniffing...and met our approval. We did a little shopping, and then -- worked our way back. It's casual, counter-ordering, pay and receive a number buzzer, then you sit, and wait for 15 mins...patience friends. The items looked good, presented well, but far from the items pictured on the posters near the ordering counter. Despite, we all loved what we got. Smokey Garlic Pulled Pork Sandwich [$12.50,4.0 stars], Bacon Avocado Chicken Sandwich [$14.50, 4.0 stars], a regular order of fries [$4.75, 4.5 stars], and Jake's Yummy Beans [$6, 4.5 stars]. Seems neighborhoody, and a lot of regulars. Burgers are featured on the menu...so you know I'll be back soon.

I don't know how long this place has been around, but I know that the last time I came to Stoneridge this place wasn't here. It was late on the Wednesday before thanksgiving and the place wasn't too crowded, but we stopped by because it's one of the few restaurants visible at the mall. We had their $10 Wednesday special, tri tip, salad and a muffin. I must say, the portion sizes were outstanding! The only thing was that I asked for medium well, but I think they gave me medium rare instead. I get it though where we're all wearing masks and there's glass at the register so it can be hard to hear. But if I did in fact get a medium well tri tip I would have enjoyed it much more! In all, not sure why I didn't com across them earlier but was very pleased! We'll be back next time we're in town!

First time back to eat dine for lunch in nearly two years. It was good to finally come back to the mall and eat at this restaurant. I ordered the Buckhorn tri-tip sandwich for ounce with fries. I try to was cook medium rare which I liked along with sautéed onions. As you dipping sauce was very good. The fries were just average. My wife ordered the pulled pork plate that included mashed potatoes with gravy, corn on the cob, corn muffin and some grilled vegetables. Everything was pretty decent nothing was spectacular nor terrible. It was a pretty average meal. We enjoyed dining in here as it was nostalgic and brought back old memories of when we used to come here more often. I will say that the staff services was excellent and the food overall was pretty good.

I love Buckhorn but Yolanda R is extremely rude. I had an issue with my salad that I had purchased at lunchtime. I had immediately called and told them. They were very apologetic and offered to make a new salad for me. I told them I would have to come in after work because I didn't have enough time then. So I came in after work and Yolanda acted like I was trying to steal from them. She interrogated me and then said, "I don't think so." I was just about to lose it when another woman behind the counter told her to give her my ticket And she would make my salad. I still gave Buckhorn 4 stars despite the ridiculous treatment I received from Yolanda R because their food is great and hopefully Yolanda R was just having a bad day. The problem I had with my lunch salad could happen anywhere through no one's fault. I'm not mad at Buckhorn but I hope Yolanda R reads this and never treats another customer the way she treated me.

The worse service doesn't matter if there busy or not. To go orders aren't even called when there ready didn't even order anything fancy at least I don't think fries will take that long came up to the register employee kept taking new orders without providing me mine since it was just sitting there by the time he finally remember what I have ordered my food is now cold and sweaty NOT ENJOYABLE!!!! Also lady preparing the salads don't pull your mask off to talk that is NOT the purpose of having one on, oh and you need to wash your knife not just dipping it in water will clean and disinfect what ever it was use for before.

This review is about the deplorable bathroom condition. It was in an extremely unsanitary condition. There was toilet tissue and urine on the floor. The garbage can was over flowing. I went to the counter an advised an associate of the condition and it needed to be serviced; his response was they were to Busy. There were patrons sitting down an eating as well as a few ordering for take out. The lack of customer service was shocking.

I came here since the one in Emeryville had closed quite some time ago. This location is located inside Stoneridge Mall - but outside facing so they do offer indoor/outdoor seating as an option. I ordered the Roadhouse salad - and the toppings were so little it was hard to get any flavor from the salad. Pre-pandemic this salad was packed with string beans, tomatoes, sweet walnuts, Roadhouse Onions, and bleu cheese crumbles. There was little to be desired about this salad. I also ordered the Big Buck sandwich. The overall meat was okay and can be cooked to your liking. The biggest disappointment - they were completely out of any and all sauces... No bbq sauce and no horseradish, while this shouldn't be what makes the sandwich great it sure does for me. Without the sauces the overall sandwich is empty and dry. They said they had been out of everything for close to a week, which is disappointing (although could be pandemic related to shipping?!?). The staff was less than friendly and I likely wont ever be coming back. I'd rather make the trek out to Walnut Creek!

2 out of 3 of our meals were cool to lukewarm when we received them. We sent one back. The other person was too hungry and just are it. Proper food temperature is mandatory when to make sure food it's cooked enough to remove and impurities etc.
