As soon as I got here, i realized I had been here before. It's good, just ok, maybe 3.5 stars for food, friendly takeout service.

They are still doing takeout-only. I ordered spicy beef noodle soup and fried intestine. They were very well packaged and tasty as usual. Looking forward to coming back to try other items soon!

One of our family's faves in the area. Really down to earth people run this place - friendly wait staff and really good Taiwanese food. We like their Hakka rice, black bean fish, the soup noodles, and more. Before Covid, we were regulars at this restaurant but now we get to-go because dining room is closed for dine-in at the moment (Nov 2021). Support this restaurant - it really adds to the diversity of dining options within Pleasanton

Delicious grab and go! I usually get the fried salt and pepper fish. *drool pretty pricey but the flavor and quality are worth it. Kind people who speak both mandarin and English.

I came to this restaurant almost once a month because they offers awesome authentic Taiwan food. My family really like this pig hock and pork chop. Stinky tofu is always my choice. The nice part to me is the friendly owner who always greeted customer with smile

Excellent authentic Taiwanese food. Friendly service. Be aware that it is cash only and take away only.

Not Accept Credit Card! It is not in my memory for authentic Taiwanese food. I was born and grow up in Taiwan. I had 萬巒豬腳飯、炸銀絲卷、紅豆粉粿冰。 The pork hock was okay. (3/5) the pork mince on the rice wasn't very good. Pickled bamboo wasn't good. It came with half boiled egg. Not much favors. Fired Bun was awful. (-3/5) Can't be eaten. It soaked in oil, not just dry outside and dry inside. It was overcooked. Full of oil. Red bean with Fen Gue (2/5) First impression "where is the Fen Fue?" It hidden in the bottom. Fen gue was not very tasty. It was not evenly mixed. I can taste different textures in one piece. I should go get Meet Fresh.

My Taiwanese friends say that this is the best Taiwanese food in the Bay Area that they've tasted so far and I have to agree. We especially liked the Bawan or the ping tung, which is why we came here in the first place. The staff was friendly and handled our big group well. I'll definitely be coming back here more!

I gave it three stars because I feel horrible leaving a bad review but this was the absolute worst restaurant I've had take out from. Now, it could of been what our family ordered, they might have other food that is excellent or it was a bad night but what we received was terrible. The noodles were completely overcooked and the meat was practically raw/ cold, it was the first time we ever had to completely trash a dinner and unable to eat anything, the few bites I took made me feel sick. It ruined the whole night as we scrambled to find something else to eat after wasting $50.

I don't care for some traditional Taiwanese dishes too much, but some are very good. So my opinion for food here probably is kind of subjective. My husband and friends love the dishes so apparently they are not too bad. HOWEVER, they have the ugliest indoor decorations I've ever seen in my life - here or Taiwan. Maybe they are trying to bring back the old time (3, 4 generations ago) country side Taiwan? Otherwise it's a complete misrepresentation of what Taiwanese restaurants really look like ( - stylish, contemporary)! I could not bear sitting there looking at the ugly table cloths, to say the least. I have NEVER seen such ugly decoration in Taiwan - I was born and raised in Taiwan. For this reason I haven't gone back after the first visit. Cafe Taiwan, please remodel your interior look so it'll make Taiwan look better to non-Taiwanese people. Thank you! (My 1 star is solely for the decoration, not for the food. The food would probably be 4 stars, according to my husband.)

Stinky tofu was stinky, their ba wan (meatball) was good, and pork hock vermicelli soup was delicious. This is, by far, the best taiwanese restaurant in the bay area IMO. Would definitely check it out.
