The food descriptions on the menu need to be more detailed. It is hard to tell which food we liked. The table sauce didn't taste good, even the lemonade was full of ice. The dumplings were mostly the thick outer shell. Very limited options for vegetarians, so not recommended. My non-vegetarian friends told me that the food was not as per their expectations.

Expensive, food was terrible. Chow mien had no flavor, broccoli with a small amount of beef and very watery. Thought we would throw in egg rolls, absolutely inedible. Soggy mess. Will not return.

Visited this restaurant on a rainy evening in November. Who doesn't love hot Chinese food in such weather, when you also have good vegetarian options available too.Garlic Eggplant appetizer was on the sweeter side and was cooked perfectly. Chow Mein was also very good. Kung Pao Tofu was lacked flavor and gravy. Was expecting an explosion in my mouth but there was none.Service was fast and every dish was served hot and fresh.

We decided to dine in at Dragon City. We often ordered take-out during the pandemic and was always impressed by the food and kind employees. As we sat down the server gave us water with a slice of lemon, which was a nice touch. To start us off, we were excited to see Westlake soup on the menu. It was a nice combination of carrots, mushroom, cilantro, minced beef, egg, and peas. This soup is a little peppery but wonderful flavors to warm up your palate. We ordered the Hong Kong style crispy noodles which came with zucchini, bok choy, carrots, chicken, mushroom and celery on top of thin crispy noodles. It had been quite some time since we had salt and pepper pork chops. This dish came with red and green sliced peppers, red onion, green onion and slices of jalapeno, a very attractive dish. The pork was hot, crispy and incredibly delicious. We also ordered the eggplant with garlic sauce. This dish had large chunks of eggplant, cooked perfectly (not mushy at all). The sauce had a perfect blend of tanginess and garlic and fortunately it was not swimming in oil. The employees are very sweet, hardworking and they check on you too. Dine in is the way to go if you order the Hong Kong style crispy noodles and pork chops. If there is no parking on Main Street, there is a parking lot on the north side of the building behind the restaurant.

Dragon City is a Chinese restaurant in the Downtown Pleasanton area. Parking is street parking, but I was lucky when I went and found a spot right in front of the restaurant. The service was good - the waitress was friendly, nice, and talkative. I ordered the Chicken Corn Egg Flower Soup, Dragon City Fried Rice, and Orange Chicken to share. The soup was a bit bland, but I liked the combination of all of the ingredients. The fried rice was tasty and I liked how flavorful it was. I thought the orange chicken was just alright - I am not too into the more Americanized dishes. Overall, it was a 4 stars experience because of the service from the friendly and nice waitress, but in terms of food - I would say it is about an average 3 stars.
