This location is not great. We used to go the Alameda one a lot, the foods there are full of flavor. This location, flavorless...

Ordered from this place a few times now and each time the "dons" I received are excellent quality. The food is fresh and great tasting. The service is very good as you order from the front and pick up pretty quickly. The ambiance is great as it's in the pacific food hall but this place has its own little corner with ample seating.

Pretty decent tonkatsu here. It's tucked into the back of the little food court that's attached to 99 Ranch near the outlets. I really had high hopes for this entire area, I thought it was gonna be super busy all the time, but everytime I come in, it's fairly empty.KoKoLo though has a different vibe. Although its in the food court, it has its own seating area. I ordered the standard chicken katsu curry don and a few beers with extras for the kiddos. I'm really spoiled by authentic katsu ever since I had some in Tokyo. But this place is actually pretty decent, and has an authentic feel to it.Delicious katsu, done right. Try this place out. You won't regret.

Ordered the chicken donburi and the unagi bowl. Was okay, chicken was a little overdone. Staff was friendly.

We arrived just as they were closing but the owner took care of us and insisted we had a seat in the restaurant and have our meal. We didn't finish our meal, she got us a couple of to go containers and made sure we got more sauce. Great for and service!

Personal favorite is the curry beef bowl, tons of flavor and great portions sizes for the price. The katsu has always been crispy when I ordered, not sure what the other reviews are on about. Common sense when ordering crispy ingredients with soggy ingredients goes a long way. Great place for delivery or take out, they separate everything so it stays crispy and vented even on a 15+ min drive home.

I was in need of sustenance. I just taught two dance fitness classes and was about to teach a boot camp class so I needed to EAT. I've been to a different KoKoLo Donburi closer to where we live before and wasn't super impressed. I decided to try them again. Perhaps it's because I went when no one was around, and also I was hungry, but I devoured that whole thing and it totally hit the spot.L O C A T I O NKoKoLo Donburi is in the Pacific Pearl Mall which is basically a little food hall with a bunch of different restaurants. It was quite dead when I arrived. Parking is a huge lot shared by all the establishments in the area.I N S I D EAs mentioned, it's in a food hall/court but they do have a designated area on the side with their own seats. But of course you're not tied to sitting in that area as you can totally have people get food from all the other places and you all can eat in the shared eating area in the middle. There is a bathroom also in there which was a little messy unfortunately.M E N UThey have a standard menu of items of things on top of rice (don) as well as appetizers if you're wanting smaller dishes. I opted for the standard pork Katsu Don (you can totally pick chicken as well). I also said I'd get it to go in case I didn't finish...well that was embarrassing. The pork katsu was sitting in this super saucy broth and had egg over it. I ended up pouring that sauce on the rice. The pork was moist due to it. Everything cooked well.As I said, I devoured it all in one sitting. I was hungry folks.S E R V I C EThe person there was quite nice! He got my order, and delivered it directly to my table. When I was done, he saw me struggling to figure out where to place the dirty tray and he just said to keep it there and he'd clean it up. Appreciate the courteous service.O V E R A L LIf you're wanting to stuff yourself silly with a lot of rice and meat, then this is your place. In retrospect, I probably should've stopped before eating it all. But you know, you gotta satisfy that craving. It is a little pricey but you do get a lot of food. I would definitely come back to try out more of their appetizers and perhaps the curry. I love a good Japanese curry on top of pork katsu. Nom! Anyways, try them out!

A quick fast food place of Japanese dishes inside the the food court of Pacific Hall by Ranch 99. I came here for dinner with my kids during a weekday dinner and was not busy. Customer service was friendly. Food came out fast. Dishes are average tasting, not unique but still good. Good portion. They do serve beer and soju. Prices are decent for the portion but not a place I would come often. [48R, 2023]

Went it based on the reviews. The place is not meeting even low expectations. Ordering was quick and staff were friendly. We got our buzzer and started waiting for a table to free up. Once people left, we moved to the table and waited for staff to clean it up. After a few minutes I pulled out napkins and cleaned it because no one seemed to care to come out and do it. After the buzzer went off, we came to pick up our order and they told us that tempura was in the works and will take longer. Ok, not a problem, we went back to our table and started eating. After 10 minutes, a guy came over and started asking if we ordered tempura. We said we did and he pointed to the front, directing us to pick it up there. Why not be nice and bring it over since it was delayed? After getting the tempura, we wished he didn’t: the tempura batter was so horrible and the amount of cheap oil was way too much, it wasn’t edible. We also ordered chicken katsu which was soggy and we threw most of it away. I don’t recommend this restaurant, they don’t appear to use adequate ingredients and don’t cook well.

Was trying a new delivery service and this place popped up for me. I love Japanese curry and fried chicken, so I gave this place a try.Curry Tonkasu: This was a rather pleasant thing to try. The curry felt a bit standard for me, but the Tonkasu was fried perfect for my taste. They gave a lot of the pork, so I was able to make two meals out of this. The breading was the right amount and not overly done. It was a nice meal to have.Jidori Karaage: Always love me some chicken Karaage. The Mayo dipping sauce was a great pairing with the chicken. They also give you the fried bits of the chicken as well as the normal meat you expect. I found this to be worthy appetizer to any me.Overall, I had a enjoyable meal out of this. Would consider ordering from here again.

Good size portion on the katsu and rice bowl. Unfortunately with the steamed eggs, it pretty much turns the crispy batter to mush. Sort of eliminates all the good part of katsu.I'd try something else. The cafeteria is a nice place to eat!
