I have purchased some groceries today and one of the item I decided not to buy that because it was too expensive. The lady at the register told me ‘you can put that back’.The customer service is too poor. That was so rude asking the Customer to put the things back in the shelf. Some employees there, they dont even pack your groceries in the bag, they just scan and charge and they just let the customers pack the groceries. That is not even self checkout.Usually at any grocery stores, at the check-stand, whatever things the customer decides not to buy will be put back in the shelf by the employees. One time I got organic eggs and all of them smelled very bad and I had to throw them away. Waste of money. Snacks are not good either. I got some refrigerated food like milk and other items, they were not good.I will strongly not recommend this store. I hate the poor and rude customer service!

We liked the restaurant experience here. The variety is amazing given how limited the seating space is. A lot of it was takeaways like I observed by sitting there.Tried the Benne Dosa, Thatte Idli, and their complimentary free coffee.Benne Dosas are 2 pieces in a plate, and more like plain uttapam in my opinion. The image of Benne Dosa in my mind was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was soft on all sides. Taste was good, and very reasonably priced. No issues there, but too much quantity for me. I wanted to try other things also but I was full.Thatte Idli was awesome. The amount of ghee and podi they give is really generous. Will surely come again to try other Dosa varieties and appetizers. Haven't shopped at the grocery section yet. Maybe next time!Check out my Instagram food page @veggie_central for more delicious stuff!

The one thing I hate about Indian place is their punctuality. I places order to pickup at 2:45 PM and the order wasn’t even packed until 3 PM. I was specific about the order timing yet they messed up.Food is good but good services is where business thrive.

This is a grocery store with a small restaurant attached. Their food is great. Some of it is very spicy so be aware. I like to go for curry hour, but the grocery store is great too. Reasonably priced.Vegetarian options: Most (not all) of their offerings are naturally vegetarian, as is a lot of Indian food

Indulging in the culinary delights at Sri Venkateswara Grocery and Kitchen was a nostalgic journey back to South India. The flavors were nothing short of extraordinary, each dish a masterful blend of spices and authenticity. The dosa, a highlight of my dining experience, was exquisitely prepared, crisp on the outside and delightfully soft within. From the rich curries to the aromatic biryanis, every bite transported me back to the streets of Chennai ,Hyderabad and Cochin. The ambiance, coupled with attentive service, heightened the overall dining pleasure. If you're longing for authentic Indian cuisine in California, Sri Venkateswara Grocery and Kitchen is an absolute must-visit – a culinary haven for anyone with a taste for true Indian flavors!

The south indian restaurant has good food. I tasted the SVG thali which is basically a plate with different house curries and comes with rice and roti/naan/indian bread. Every item was well made and flavorful. The grocery store is well organized and has quite a few items. A bit on the pricier side for indian items but nevertheless a good option to do some grocery shopping especially if you are looking for indian/south asian items. Definitely going to come back for more shopping and eating

Grocery store is good, but the SVG restaurant is better than most south indian restaurants in/around the bay area. Please come to Fremont!

We ordered their ghee roast dosas and ghee roast masala dosas at their kitchen on the right side of the store as you enter. They were so good that we ended up ordering 4 dosas. It tastes just like a dosa you’d get in India. So delicious!Their Mango lassi is also a MUST TRY.My 2 year old baby niece loves their dosa too. They are a kid-friendly restaurant and serve kiddy dosas (cone shape) as well. There’s a grocery store on the left where you will find all your Indian grocery needs. The store is very well kept and quite clean. Their staff is very kind too!If you’re looking to change diapers for your baby, there’s a restroom area where mothers should be able to find changing tables inside the female restroom.Kid-friendliness: They’re quite kid friendly and have kiddy dosas available too.
