I wanted to like this place more than I did. Ultimately it's upscale pricing with average food. I've been twice and I tried out a regular burger, and their impossible burger. And while I did enjoy the impossible one, I've liked others a lot more that also cost a fraction of theirs. Another con is they charge you for every sauce on the side. I understand some places do that, but typically in my experience they're not charging $20 for the burger too. The fries were very tasty! The service speed was average, not speedy and not deathly slow. Our server was very nice and friendly, admitted he was newer and wasn't afraid to ask someone else if he didn't know the answer. Which I'd rather over guessing and messing up the order! Ultimately it came down to the large prices with the average burger joint food.

I used to visit The Counter pre Covid and I was always so impressed! As a vegan it's not always easy finding a vegan friendly burger spot that actually puts effort into their vegan options. I would usually do a double patty because, you know, I like my burgers thick ... I absolutely love that you customize it to be anything you want! A burger lovers dream come true!Pictured is a double impossible burger! So juicy, so delicious, it's everything you could want and more!To all you meat lovers out there, you gotta give this bad boy a try, I promise you won't regret it Additionally, you cannot come here and not get a side of their shoestring fries! They are sooooo so good! BONUS - They also have vegan cheese! Bow Chicka Wow Wow.

Food is good, but service is terrible. Have been there about 7 times and probably 5 of them have issues. Good takes for ever, they forge things, nobody wants to take your order. We go there just because it is gluten free and the food is pretty good. Walnut creek location has much better service.

My husband and I went here for lunch, first time visit. I ordered the chicken wings, he ordered a sandwich with grilled onions and mushrooms and added a slice of cheddar cheese, it already came with provolone. The server passed by a few minutes after we placed our order, so my husband asked her if they carried a certain alcohol. She said "no" and walked away, didn't offer something else or a different brand. Our food came. Chicken wings were good, husband's sandwich was not. Onions were almost raw, mushrooms seemed like they were boiled, not grilled, and it was missing the provolone cheese. Our server didn't come by to check on us/our food until we were both done eating. Bill came, upcharged for the cheddar even though the sandwich didn't come with the original provolone? Also, we were advised the machines were down so they could only take cash or we would write down our card number so they could run it later

Love this burger place!!! They used to have this spicy burger that had sweet and spicy chipotle sauce and it was so good. Sadly, it was only a seasonal burger but they need to actually put it in their menu.

I liked the Tater Tots more than the burgers here. I wish they gave you more sauce for the burger, both the bun and patty were pretty dry. Pretty pricey place, but definitely cheaper than Cheesecake Factory or PF Chang’s if you’re on a budget.

We were greeted and seated promptly, Anna took our order and served our dishes. The quality of the burgers was EXCELLENT, grilled and seasoned perfectly, served on a bed of fresh ingredients. The menu actually does a very good job at describing the offerings. They offer a wide variety of sides which is unique AND a wide variety of other dishes aside from custom burgers. I had the Old School 1/3 -lb beef patty, fresh ingredients and hubbs ordered a custom 1-lb burger which I had a feeling would be too much which was served with garlic aeoli. And we shared the tots made with pimiento cheese which gave it a nice subtle kick, so good! I asked about the Brussels sprouts which is only on the happy hour menu, so we will be back to try that soon. The indoor seating is great and yoU can see a tv from anywhere you decide to sit. Outside draws you with the elegant fire pit. We didn't realize they had been there for two years. Had it not been for Hubbs delivering a beer handle to them last week we would not have tried this place. Lastly the menu options are excellent for vegetarians/vegans. I wilL try the impossible burger next visit or one of their unique salads. Anna also mentioned the shakes are great, next time we will try those.

The burgers come with a check list to choose your protein and toppings and sides. For proteins other than the house ground beef (which was very good) they offer are: the impossible meatless burgers , as well as mahi mahi, turkey, and a few other interesting options. Pretzel and Hawaiian buns also available here. If your indecisive like myself, they do have a normalized menu as well so one could pick standard sandwich and other items of that likeness. This location did have a bar which we did not visit, but it seemed decently large and popular. As is customary for better quality food, the price is definitely on the higher side. Expect to pay around 20-25$ per person. For our experience, it seemed the price point was a bit too high for us to give it a perfect 5/5. I'd say 4.8 but Google doesn't have that option.
