I love Zach's! The family loves Zach's! You will love Zach's too! I discovered Zachary's Chicago pizza decades ago when they were just a small little pizza place that you had to be in the know about to find it. Now, they have numerous locations, and rightfully so! Once you try their pizza, you'll never settle for anything less. We stopped by their newest location in Pleasanton, California, and I will say the vibe, but this location is vastly different than it is from the others. The food is just as great, but the vibe is more of a chill and enjoy the pizza. Parking isn't as challenging here, but it's still not great. We ordered a Caesar salad to share while we were combing through the menu to see if we wanted to try something different than our regular go to's. The salad was OK. Nothing to write home about, slightly underwhelming, and the croutons were rather disappointing. Since everyone was in starvation mode, we ordered two pies, and went with our classics. The thinly sliced cheesy pizza with lemon is an absolute must try. The cheese was gooey, and there's something about the combination of the flavor of the squeezed lemon over the cheese that just makes all the flavors pop. Yes, I thought it sounded strange when I tried it years ago, but I've been a fan ever since . Then there is the deep dish... Keep in mind that the deep dish does take longer to bake so be prepared to wait. The deep dish is simply divine. We ordered the deep dish with sausage and added pesto, and my mouth is watering just thinking about how delicious the pizza is. The crust is perfect, and the layers of flavor, sauce, meat, cheese. It literally is a slice of heaven. Diner tip: if you know you're going to order a Zack's deep dish, you can call ahead and they will start the prep so that there's less wait time. The wait staff was pretty friendly, but truth be told I miss the vibe of the original location. The original location has these cool posters on the wall, everyone's running around because they are so incredibly busy and food is being served left and right. It feels like a New York experience in a very pleasant way. If you're looking for a more relaxed version of that, this is your place. Great food and a great experience!

Always a great experience at Zachary's. Efficient, friendly and quick service. Clean and easily recognizable environment across locations. Easy parking in the back off Main Street. We picked up our favorite half baked pepperoni and mushroom one of two items they have freshly in stock to take to go. It was still warm from the oven. We love the Chicago deep dish pizza which is always loaded with toppings so dense it feels like a workout taking it to the car! Baked at home for 20 minutes. As usual, it was sooo delicious! Highly recommended!

This is such a quintessential Bay Area pizza place. I'd say they are known for doing deep dish pizza, but don't miss out on their thin crust. Once I had thin crust pizza here I've not looked back. Their Pizza Bianca is amazing and I'd recommend to try even if you like a traditional pizza with red sauce. They always feature craft beers, and have hazy IPAs and the like from Fieldwork and Faction. The Faction Get Stuffed IPA is nice even if you don't favor the super hoppy California style IPAs. Service here is always great. The people are friendly and if you're short on time or have kids, order the pizza in advance so it's ready sooner when you sit.

9/3/23 We came here since this restaurant is Zach's namesake, but no discount is given if the customer is also named Zach haha! It was a lovely day in downtown Pleasanton so we opted for a table outside. The only issue with this was that during the entire lunch, we were bombarded by flies...they tried to get on our food and they kept hanging out on Zach's hair... Hannah was our waitress that afternoon and she was super friendly. The service overall was great and I could tell that the staff care about the cleanliness of the restaurant. Once a customer paid and left, the staff immediately cleaned up the tables right away. There was a table with kids that left a huge mess on the table and the floor; the manager came out to help clean up the dropped food and utensils. What's really nice was that the menu includes the wait times depending on the pizza size so you have a rough ETA of how long the pizza takes to be made. We weren't sure what size to get so Hannah suggested we stick with a small size pizza. Here's what we got to share: - Roasted cauliflower - Gourmet mushroom stuffed pizza (small) - the weekly special We snacked on the roasted cauliflower while waiting for the pizza. The cauliflower and the sauce that comes with it is sooo good. We waited about 20ish minutes for the pizza, and as it turns out, the small is the perfect size for 2. The pizza is a deep dish and it's probably the best deep dish I've ever had. The pizza was loaded with tomato sauce, mushrooms and roasted garlic. Even the crust was delicious, very crunchy and tastes even better when you dip it in the cauliflower sauce. We ended up having 3 slices leftover to bring home. I'd definitely come back.

Been to several Zachary's location, but visited this location for the first time. On weekends you can park in Bank of America parking lot which is behind Banff of America and Zachary's. We were seated right away in the bar area. I ordered a Pleasanton Pucker which was strong and tasty. We also ordered the single Garden Salad which was more than enough to share. For the pizza we got the thin medium Zachary's Special and added pepperoni and jalapeño and removed the sausage! It was super good! Service was really good and our waiter checked back on us consistently. The medium pizza was enough for us and we had left overs. Bonus they give you lollipops when they put your food in a to go box!

Zachary's pizza never disappoints! We always order the deep dish with pepperoni and sausage. The pizza crust is always crispy and the sauce has great flavor. There are a good amount of large tomatoes as part of the sauce, which I love, but is different from "regular" pizzas. They have lunch specials as well. Seating is good and there is street parking readily available. I highly recommend when craving pizza to stop by here!!

Delicious, hearty stuffed pizza, we opted for the mushroom and spinach and it hit the spot. We also got a large salad and split it before the pizza arrived, also yum! Pretty pricey but good size portions make up for that.

Best Chicago style pizza around. Definitely our go to. Get the Zachary's special to go! We like to bring home a half-baked, open some good vino and ahhhh...

I came for a late afternoon lunch around 3pm. The restaurant was pretty slow with only a handful of other people inside. There was plenty of seating inside and out of the restaurant. When I arrived, I immediately got greeted by the hostess and was given menus. It is a self seating restaurant, but the simple greeting and handing of the menu made it more welcoming. Our waiter Eric came to our table shortly after and began helping us. We went with the "Carne" pizza which was an all meat pizza. The waiter for the pizza was warned to be about 30-40 minutes ahead of time. The pizza seemed to come out before the 30 minute mark. Eric brought the pizza to our table and even went out of the way to serve us our first slices! The pizza was hot, moist, and full of flavor. I loved the stuffed deep crust. The crust was not soggy one bit and had a nice crunch to it. There's plenty to eat for the price paid as well. When ready, Eric kindly helped us by boxing the pizza for us. Overall, I love the atmosphere, service, and food. I would 10/10 recommend!
