I am so impressed with this place. This restaurant is located in Pomona on Holt Ave. so my expectations were very low. To my surprise, this place exceeded my every expectation. The menu items and Chinese food is authentic and delicious. The service is great and attentive. Here is what we've ordered and it was all good: -Hot and Sour Soup - loaded with veggies and tofu, not too spicy or vinegary. -Black Pepper Filet Mignon - cubed steak was very tender, lots of black pepper and onions. -Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables - loaded with veggies in a light, thick sauce. -Braised Tofu - not like the picture, very dry for fried tofu. -Roasted Duck - it was okay but dry. -Salt and Pepper Shrimp with Shell - great seasoning and fried very well. -Honey Walnut Shrimp - battered and fry is very nice, great flavor. The food comes out fast usually 8-10 minutes from ordering. It also comes out steaming hot. The only thing I could see improving is to have better fried tofu and for the seats to get replaced. Every booth seat that I have sat in has been sunken in. This makes it hard to sit up right and be comfortable while eating. Great ambiance and the staff are courteous and quick to serve.

The food is always fantastic and the service is quick. I think I have only waited 10 minutes and that is because they were busy. They are very hospitable. I wouldn't go there for the ambiance if that is all you are looking for but their food is amazing. We always have left overs and my husband can take it to work the next day. Their food is so good so if you are looking for a place that has good food, quick service, at a descent price, then Chinchanilla's is your place to go.

If you're looking for authentic Chinese food this is the place. Area is so, so but don't let that fool you, once you step inside ambiance is great just as is the food. There is plenty of parking. Had a party of 25 for my Moms 90th birthday. Service was quick, Louis and his staff are very accommodating. Louis made sure we had everything we needed. He would come in often to make sure we were good. He is a very pleasant person makes you feel very comfortable, like being at home. It was a first time for most in the party, they commented that they would return. Highly recommend.

We came here on my wife's birthday. We ordered a table full of dishes to try. That is just how it is done at a Chinese restaurant or how we do things... Haha.The outside of the restaurant doesn't look much or have much to write about. It has a huge private parking lot, which is super nice. The interior is really beautifully decorated. They even have a wall for photos.The service is not bad. The lady that took care of us is on point. Making sure we got what we needed.Now on to the food. It is a Mexican-Chinese restaurant. Which means, the dishes are cooked with a hints of Mexican flavor. It is different, but so very good.Each dish is nicely flavored, but sadly a few dishes are a bit too salty. Even though the salt was a bit much, the other flavors still came through. Just need to dial down the salt a bit. Their Honey Walnut shrimp has way too much bread coating. Seems a bit different from their photos, but the flavor was still good.Will gladly come back next time. They even have a huge table that can seat up to 20 people!Vegetarian options: The chefs can make any dish vegan. Just ask them to.

Food was great, service wasn't. We didn't get one of our dishes but she never came back to check on us. We had to ask another waiter (who was awesome) for our bill and he took it off. We will still go back because the food was very good but we will ask for Luis as a waiter.

Don't let the unkept dirty city sidewalks deter you. Inside is a different sight! It's clean, friendly, and lil noisy but great food!! We shared, chow mein, fried rice and soup. we had fried shrimp, spicy pork and teriyaki chicken. The servings were enough for the next days lunch! Definitely recommend taking the time to visit!

This place never disappoints with the food always tasting just right. The food is never undercooked, oversalted and best of all made to order. If you didn't know they have a sister location in Downey named Golden Palace. I have been to both locations and the food is superb. Make sure to collaborate by enjoying great tasting food at a price that cannot be matched with large portions.
