Well we got lunch there yesterday Friday and got 4 items at the cost of $55.00 and thought it was a little much especially when they charge for using a card and what really caught my attention was they even charge for take out orders not cool that’s pretty bad. So I recommend that customers think twice about take out orders it’s already expensive ?

First time coming back to El Jefe in awhile for dinner with friends. The atmosphere and service were really good. The food however was not, I’ve eaten here before and the quality difference between them is noticeable. It was bland and disappointing especially for the price point. We also got some of their mixed drinks which were really good so it was disappointing not getting the same experience with the food. If you plan on coming here for a game stick to the apps and drinks.

The food was just ok, but the restaurant was very well kept. The reason for the 2 stars, I don't like when you are charged gratuity, and the server isn't very good. Then they charge you a surcharge to use a debit or credit card. That's ridiculous. You should post that you charge a surcharge, or post it somewhere. 18% gratuity automatic, $2 for a side of jalapeños, $2.99 surcharge for using debit or credit card, crazy add on fees. I would never go back

The food was okay, I just had a problem with the extra charges, like a 12 dollar gratuity fee and a 2 dollar credit card fee and a 2dollar surcharge fee, if the server wud have notified us about it before hand I probably Wud have been okay with it but a 16 extra is craaaazy.

Very disappointed!!The Food was terrible.... totally lacking in flavor... they use cheese sauce on nachos instead of actual cheese... the chicken wings just looked and tasted funky... the cheese quesadilla was rubbery.. overall the food just sucked!!The service was slow and keep in mind there were only like 6 to 8 people sitting at the bar... my husband actually had to get up and walk over to the bar to order us drinks.. which we're just ok.. nothing special about them!!I would not recommend this place to anyone!! Save your money and grab some tacos from one of the many street vendors you see otw there.

I've visited this place several times, wanting to thoroughly experience it before sharing my thoughts. Primarily, I've only been there for brunch, priced at $40, which is quite reasonable. The extensive food selection allows unlimited servings, and the inclusion of bottomless mimosas adds significant value. The attentive servers consistently refill your glass and maintain a clean environment, despite the occasional lively atmosphere. However, a notable drawback is the lack of itemized billing. They automatically charge gratuity upfront without informing you, a practice I find inconvenient. What was intended to be an affordable brunch turned into a $500 bill for me. My suggestion is to request itemized billing as items are served, ensuring full awareness of charges and added gratuity. As an example, my $196 bill for 10 shots at $12 each included nearly $65 in gratuity, which I find excessive. This is in response to John, the ownerYour setup is designed to itemize each patron setting, but my concern lies in the fact that your servers are solely presenting credit card receipts for signatures. As I mentioned earlier, I did ask for an itemized bill after receiving my credit card slip to sign, indicating that the problem isn't with the system but rather with your servers. And this is not the first time that this has happened.

The brunch a bit pricey but the food was good . I see why because they have live banda playing . Which was fun to watch and just enjoy your time with friends .

We wanted to try place our friends had suggested & Instagram kept sharing with me.So glad we did. Loved the pork skins and guacamole. The birria was delicious. The chicken plate was so flavorful! We've been 2x now and haven't regretted it! The portions are big and everything was seasoned to perfection. Nestled behind the market, the seating was comfortably and attractive. We loved the vibe of the restaurant. Both times that we've been the servers are extremely helpful in making decisions on what to have.

The food was not bad, nor was it amazing. It's more atmospheric than anything. We were a party of 2 and were charged an 18% gratuity for a large party.
