Good. Pretty standard boba drink place. They have wifi which is great for students. Service is good, the environment is nice. Mostly college students, given the location. I have nothing negative to say but also it's nothing special.

This place is great! They have a small table set up with samples as you walk in which is a nice touch. Delicious flavors and friendly service.

Trying a new spot for my weekly boba fix lol I got the rose green tea with boba. They use rose syrup for the flavor that's why the drink is also pinkish color. I am use to the actual rose tea leaves so it was very sweet for a 25% sweetness level. The boba is really good.

WOW This is my first time visit this boba place. Before when it was Cha for Tea I didn't like their drinks at all and never came back. But this time JJ boba service was AMAZING I've never seen any other boba place the staff bring food to my table. CRISPY CHICKEN IS SO FLAVORFUL AND FRESH HOT AND SO CRISPY !!! DEFINITELY WILL COME BACK

After my daughter and I visited Uncle Chuang's Bakery, I wanted to check out a boba shop. Luckily, JJ Boba was just around the corner from the bakery within the same plaza. Nice! Cha For Tea used to be at the location where JJ Boba is currently at. Glad JJ Boba is here. Great seating space inside and outside. They have a wall of sticky notes with everyone's personal quote. I even added one myself... you'll have to find it LOL. This place appears to be a regular hang out for the college students. Staff was very friendly. It was a one person show at the time... taking orders and making the drinks. The gentleman did an amazing job keeping up with the orders and whipping them out timely. Thank you sir! Upon entry, there is a table with free samples of flavors. I thought that was cool and a very neat idea. We should have more of that offering at other boba joints. I asked for recommendations even though I have my go-to boba drinks. I'm just curious to find out what the employees favorites are since they work at the shop and they are the ones making the drinks. Maybe my favorite may not be the best drink at their shop... if that makes sense. I ended up getting the oolong milk tea with agar boba, thai milk tea with aloe vera, and peach passion green tea with lychee jelly. The oolong milk tea had a very strong tea flavor... it was slightly bitter in an intoxicating way... not a bad thing... just overly strong IMHO. Agar boba was fantastic though and there were lots of it. Thai milk tea was a little milky, but still good. As for the peach passion green tea, I don't know it's outcome since I didn't try it, but it looks good. There you have it, our first visit at JJ Boba. It won't be our last. We'll be back to try their other drinks. Stay strong with your boba craft!

Decent drinks and location but terrible sealing on their drinks. It is impossible to puncture the top with their thin straws if you don't get boba. Been coming back once in a while and I've never had an easy experience.

JJ boba used to be about 3 1/2 to 4 stars. I have been going to them for years. The owners have been great to both me and my friends. Let's talk about why I gave them 2 today. Background: As I have said, I have been going to them for years. They replaced Cha for Tea. Every Friday we had an outing we call boba Friday. That was our meet up spot Food: we ordered the popcorn chicken, tofu and French fries. It was average but hit the spot and filled our bellies. Drinks: here's where we have problems. I have been able to customize drinks here for years!!!! Yes years. It wasn't till as of late where this has changed. I've had many drinks. Thai tea, honey green milk tea with no creamer but a splash of half and half, mango green tea no sugar less pumps of the syrup, fresh watermelon green tea, etc. Loved it. It was good. However, my daughter recently asked for no sugar and less pumps of mango syrup and the answer the person gave was no. Drinks now too sugary. People have different preferences. Like I don't like things to milky or sugary so I like going to places that cater to preference. Personally I don't think it's too demanding. I believe using less over time does save customers. I have a friend group who prefer the same things. Workers: this leads me to what I think of one that work there. Not all, but maybe just one. I would hope that people would be kind regardless of what age customer is. My daughter is 15. The person she encountered was not nice. She was shocked. This is a place she's always gone to and was really confused. Again, other people who work there are very nice. It really depends on who is working. It's like playing Russian roulette going there. Will I be able to get the drink the way I want it or will I have to leave to go somewhere else. Rather than to play the odds we go to a place where they are happy to make the drink to our preference. Boba Friday has moved to other spots going forward. I hope the owners review this. I want them to succeed. Happily to come if we are able to customize our drinks to the way we like them.

Boba is alright but there drinks are very sweet, I asked the cashier for less pumps of their fruit syrup because I knew there drinks are fairly sweet. The cashier said with the straightest face no, he just straight up said no, no explanation or something like no sorry we can't, just no. I asked for less pumps which should actually be easier to do but even if you can't do it you could at least be a little nicer. The ambiance is nice though I like all the post-it's they have and how you can add to there walls and it's a nice shop. DO NOT recommend for people who don't like sweet drinks because you can't adjust the amount of fruit syrup they put inside even with no sugar the drink taste EXTREMELY sweet.

Yesterday was my first day here, I was just driving by and wanted a quick tea and salad before I headed to class. The guy who took my order was really nice (Joseph David Avila) was really nice , he's the only one that greeted me and took his time with explaining the menu and answering my questions- if this review was only on him I would of given 5 stars. I ordered the chicken salad, there was very little lettuce, no cucumber, tomato, NOTHING!!!! Just lettuce and chicken, the chicken was so hot it wilted the lettuce, I couldn't even eat it the lettuce was soggy! But the picture they advertise of the salad looks nothing like what they gave me!

The drinks were not good, very sugary! Came here one day to get a drink and the it was pretty bad. It was like drinking pure sugar, can't taste anything in the drink. Service was not great either. Overpriced for what you get. Plenty of other choices in the area.

We've been coming here for years and I can't believe I've never written a yelp review! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating indoors and some outdoors. Spacious, clean, and bright. The regular clientele seem to be Cal Poly students, which is great. There's a wall of post-it notes of whatever encouraging thoughts or ideas people feel like sharing, which is fun. Today pop Japanese music is playing, which is cool. Their boba is chewy and mildly sweet. My favorite order is peach passion green tea with boba at 50 % sweetness. Today we also ordered a snack portion of crispy chicken and fries. Yummy and filling. Glad to see JJBoba is doing so well!
