This bakery was recommended by my venue for our wedding reception. This awful business should be shut down. We paid nearly $700 to upgrade our cake and the whole experience was a disaster from start to finish. The man we worked with was absentminded and forgot our tasting. He was nearly impossible to reach to pay in advance so we paid for our cake 3 days before the wedding. We finalized the cake twice and the day of the wedding, he delivered the cake to the wrong room. The staff at the venue brought our cake to us 4 hours after it was delivered and it was lopsided. He said he would provide to go boxes so the guests can take cake home. The boxes were not provided. So two large tiers of cake went to waste. The color and texture was wrong and the flavors were wrong. When I contacted him the day after, he said he would give a partial refund but denied any wrongdoing. Then he said he found our tier in his cooler and ignored my calls for the next two weeks. When I contacted him again, he was extremely rude and I told him he had awful customer service. He blamed the venue and said he was not responsible, even though the “proof” in photos he provided clearly showed the cake was not in the correct place. I told him if he did not provide a partial refund, I would contact my bank and reverse the complete charge, and response ok, thanks. Check out their yelp reviews. * a quick update. The man who we worked with blamed the venue. According to him, he dropped off the cake in the restaurant at around 4 pm. He left it in the wrong area took a picture and left, and left the to go boxes. For over 4 hours, our wedding cake was on display for the diners in the restaurant area and when it was time to cut the cake, staff from the restaurant carried the cake to our room unevenly, leaving it lopsided. They also forgot to take the to go boxes with the cake. He also said he found a random cake in his cooler that might have been the top tier with the correct flavor. It has been nearly a month since I last spoke to him and I have not heard back. He tried to tell me I was wrong but pictured is the sample cakes we ordered with the carrot cake circled. The actual cake we got was not the same color whatsoever and even after stating he may have found the tier, he hasn't followed up

I ordered strawberry shortcake and red velvet cupcakes for my mom's memorial and they were so fresh and delicious. They even delivered which was great! I highly recommend Sweet Art Cakes. They're customer service and cupcakes are fantastic! I will purchase from them again and recommend to friends and family.

Amazing cake! Not only was the cake adorable but it also tasted amazing! The owner did a beautiful job with my flamingo theme and I loved the champagne and marble flavors. When you cut into the cake, you could smell it. So good and so worth it!

If I can give negative stars I would! SO I finally got a chance to write it, it's been bottling up in my mind.. this place was the place we got as part of the wedding package with Ontario Airport hotel then (3/3/2019).. we got everything under a paper stating our wedding date.. we were excited, we were ecstatic about the whole experience, and then it came THE DAY.. THE ONLY THING RUINING MY WEDDING DAY, if you think the cake came ugly, I would rather have a cake, THIS PLACE DOES NOT EVEN SEND US ANYTHING ON MY WEDDING DAH AT ALL!!!!! At all.. and the sadistic part about it, Ontario airport hotel wedding crew give us permission to contact the cake place as they try to contact them but they couldn't get a hold of them and they never get to the bottom of the problem.. so when we went and try to talk to the owner, he had the original agreement paper and the date literally was wrote there, we got the pink copy and HE LIES AND ADDED ANOTHER DATE ON THE ORIGINAL PAPER STATING WHATEVER WE NEED IT FOR... the copy says it all, if it's not on the pink copy that mean he add the date after the 2 other carbon copy was ripped from the original.. he stand by that and won't even give us anything but a birthday cake as a replacement.. honestly if a cake place can ruin your big day like that they shouldn't even stay in that business.. they know it's a special for a couple who trust them to make their cake there, they should respect it that way too.. it is long but I still can't get over it, I can not stand the lie and the owner being irresponsible like that, and the reason why I wrote it today because I don't want another couple to go through my experience... and I'm not one of those that give bad review I always try to support and compliment good business but once they're rude and disrespectful and being hurtful.. it's not acceptable!

We used Sweet Art Cakes recently for our wedding. Both my wife and I could not have been happier with the service and the cake here. Sweet Art Cakes was one of the few vendors that did not stress us out. The manager was so relaxed and made everything sound easy. The cake was amazing. It was absolutely delicious, with a different flavor for each layer. The manager emphasized that they use more natural flavors and avoid artificial flavors and you can absolutely taste the difference. In addition, they had the best prices! They were less than the other vendors we visited. If you're getting married near Claremont, I absolutely recommend this place for your wedding cake!!

This is one of the best places to get a cake PERIOD. The cake is fluffy and moist, the flavors are amazing, and the designs are out of this world. The cake designer is an artist. He's made all kinds of cakes, some of which have been featured on many news articles. They are pricey but they are worth it. The staff is very friendly and always willing to work with you to get the best cake possible.

I was so excited to get my 60th Bday cake from Sweet Art Cakes, but was let down at the end result. During my consultation I specifically told him that I wanted the cake to look like an explosion of colorful flowers like lLilys ,Iris', the like. I did not want it to look like a cake. He asked if roses would be ok and a said a couple only and no red roses. He gave me NOTHING but Roses! Not what I wanted. The colors were great but I did not want a flat cake with just a bunch of roses. When it was delivered to the event center, I told the delivery guy it was wr ok ng, and nothing but lip service. One layer of the cake was not the flavor I ordered. I called him, talked to him and he said he would compare what he did to the picture that I selected from and call me back, but NO call back. For $465.00, I would expect better service and to get what I ordered. I will not be back since I can't trust him to give me what I paid for. Disappointed!
Asked for a custom cake, they told me to send some pictures to a number and I never got a response back. Doubt I'll ever bother with this place again

Don't know why this place is getting a bad rep, but I've always had great experience with Sweet Art Cakes and their cake design is always on point. While other cake shops refused to take my order 10 days before the party, SAC did not hesitate! Staff was a very sweet man. I'm sure he was the owner, but I ordered an Ice Cream themed cake and it came out just like the picture I showed him. AND, he didn't need to use fondant! I will continue supporting his business during this crazy time.
