El Nuevo on prospect has never been that good. The food is overall not good. It’s a waste of money so don’t even go here. The service is so slow. The atmosphere is just archaic. Looks like they haven’t updated it since 2005. Also with their reservations for their party room area if you don’t read the contract completely there are penalties for not having the amount of people you said you were going to have whether it’s under the amount or over the amount. So just don’t even waste your time here.

Credit card machine not working and they asked to leave my card info so they can charge later. I was not happy with that. Still left the tip. Service was not to attentive. This place had flies and cockroaches in their restaurant when I was eating. Is it too much to get an exterminator? How have these people passed a health inspection? The server wasn't horrible, but she came off as rude to me, and impatient. I had the urge to scream at her, but I have the patience of a saint, so I kinda had to deal with her. The food tasted terrible, and it is much worse than other Mexican restaurants I've been too. You can get street tacos for a better deal, and better food than what this place has to offer. Avoid this place, and go somewhere better everybody.

They don't have salsa for tacos , the enchiladas have a weird gravy on them , it definitely does not taste like food from Mexicali , more of white washed Mexican food .
Hello,we walked into the establishment and we'll clean they sat us down quickly and the server came and was ready to get our drinks and our order we were waiting for our other clients food came out amazing.it tasted okay .it almost Christmas so they took the time to decorate it inside it was nice and clean.but my stomach was making some sound after I left ahhh

The food was very delicious especially my pozole verde so yummy and huge. I took about 80% of it home and had it for a couple more servings. My husband really liked the menudo and it's huge too. He had the pata on the side. The chorizo plate was good too but they need to add more chorizo - the rice and beans took about most of the space in the plate. The service was great every time. The ambiance is just right, I liked the warm sun coming through the large windows they have there. They had Mexican songs playing and two TV's showing a football game. Their credit card went down at the time we were going to pay but luckily we had enough cash for the bill. Great food overall.
