Went here on Valentine's Day and everything was excellent. Service a little slow but understandable with how busy it was, staff was kind and attentive, food was delicious. Live music was enjoyable and not too loud, good volume to have a conversation with your partner/guests. Very excellent

Well, my friend and I decided to go to the Palace Kitchen + Craft Bar today for lunch. I had chicken pasta and a house salad. I'm happy to say that it was delicious. Menu has reasonable prices and the service was great. The restaurant is attractive and the ambiance was comfortable but the lunch crowd did get a little noisy. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

This has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat! Everything is so delicious (food & cocktails), the service is amazing, and the atmosphere is great! Windows all around giving you a great view of our downtown. There’s nothing else like it in town! Highly recommend!

The bar area is very nice with a full bar and some craft beers. The dining area is classy yet relaxing. Palace kitchen + craft bar is a great choice for a nice date night or to grab a drink.

Kudos to our servers. My school district had their Xmas dinner here and it entailed over 30 people and different orders. Considering the size of the party, our food and drinks were served in a timely manner.I had the Pesto Pasta while my wife had the Filet Mignon. The pasta noodles were perfect, they were tender and full of flavor. This is where the dish shined, the kitchen did not skimp on Pesto. I love Pesto but this plate had more pesto than expected and full of flavor. Kudos to the chef.My wife had the 16 ounce Filet Mignon. It was cooked to her specification. Considering that most of the group had their hamburgers under cooked, we were both surprised that her steak came out as ordered. According to her, the steak was full of flavor and well seasoned. The baked potato was a bit clumpy and dry but adding a hint of butter offset the dryness.We had onion rings for appetizers. These were excellent, the batter mix was delicious and cooked to a nice flaky perfection.Again, the service was where this place shined. The large group and individual orders would have made the service slow and cumbersome, yet there were no complaints from the group. Additionally, the location had another large group and more patrons. Kudos to the staff for being prompt and professional.For these reasons I highly recommend this location.
My own food was a little undercooked, but my waitress Gwyn took care of it right away. Everyone else LOVED their food, especially the jam burger! Our waitress Gwyn was absolutely wonderful; warm and kind. It was a great dinner downtown! ❤️❤️

If you are reading reviews that are pre-November 2023, those do not reflect the service or food of this place that was recently acquired and under new ownership of a much more reputable, local restaurant owner. Since their re-opening at the beginning of November 2023, we have been to The Palace Kitchen & Craft Bar 3 times, including last night. The service has been consistently outstanding. Each time, we have had a different entree and although the menu is limited, all of the food that we've had has been excellent. The restaurant is always very clean and in our opinion, holds one of the nicest atmospheres of all restaurants to choose from in Porterville. If you are looking for great food, personable service and a great atmosphere, go check out the "new" Palace Kitchen & Craft Bar.
