I have loved Parkside Grille for birthdays and other occasions, but was disappointed for dinner. The hostess stand wasn't overly welcoming. My food - the artichoke puree soup, salmon dinner, and brussels sprouts - all were a bit bland. Prefer my brussels sprouts roasted and crispy, perhaps with bacon or onion/garlic, not soft and sauteed in butter. My cosmopolitan cocktail was a bit small. We were seated in a booth in the bar area - would've preferred being in a dining room for more people-watching. Prices here increased since pandemic. I'll think twice before returning. Too bad.

The food was cooked to perfection, as we both had the chicken breast entree. What made the evening awkward was that after we finished the main course, my guest asked for the Dessert Menu and ordered ice cream. Please remember that they have a 2-hour window in place. We were seated at the assigned time (5:30PM) which should have allowed us to leave at 7:30PM. At approximately 6:55PM, she noticed that our waiter walked through the dining area and specifically looked at our table. This went on for several minutes, with each time looking at her ice cream and what was left of my chicken. He did place both of our leftovers in 2-go boxes. He must have circled the dining room 4-5 times, as he had another couple waiting. We finally left the restaurant at 7:15PM.

Always a win! Calamari came with a yummy salad under it. Brilliant ! Calamari nice and crispy. The mushroom bisque was huge and phenomenal. Not too heavy. And lastly I had the salmon with potatoes. I rolled out of there but not before eating an apple pastry warm dessert that was excellent.

We had another wonderful meal at Parkside Grill. The food is delicious, the service is superb, the location is idyllic. Where else can you be tucked into the Redwoods and have a meal that is magnificent? Parkside Grill is the only restaurant that offers all this and more.

Total rip off. Prices jacked up to ridiculous level for the quality of the food. Then 20% tip added on with a request for additional tip. Extremely disappointing. I won't be back, that's for sure.

We had a fabulous Valentines Day dinner! Service was excellent and unhurried. Our meals of Tuna and Sea Bass were exceptional. This wasn't our first meal there, we went there because we always enjoy it. we always enjoy it. But to serve this incredible meal on a busy holiday shows what an outstanding restaurant this is.

The price fixe menu was not advertised on Open Table like other restaurants did for Valentines Day. So I was surprised when I sat down and was handed what essentially was a take-it-or-leave-it menu for $125/person. We did not feel that we received a meal/experience worth $380. Although it is fine to automatically add a 20% gratuity, don't call it a “large group surcharge” on the bill when we had a party of two, and your server needs to point out that it was added - not assume we would notice it. During the evening, we felt rushed through dinner by the servers. Bread plates were on the table, but when I asked for bread, I was told there was none. Parking situation is problematic, and I had to park down the road in the rain.

Parkside Grill is a go to spot for an upscale casual dining on the Peninsula. Good food, not too fussy, nice wine list that won't break the bank, comfortable setting. Good for date night or couples to go out.

The cocktails were delicious, and the food enjoyable. The waiters however, really make you feel rushed. They are polite, but are always whipping plates away the minute you've put your fork down. Not the most relaxed experience.

This is our go-to spot after visiting our grandchildren every week. Really enjoy it! They have a great permanent menu but their daily specials are also excellent . It's a comfort food style but done VERY well.

the food is generally great and our entrees were delicious (calamari steak and chicken chile relleno). Only food miss was the crab and mushroom napolean. WAY too much truffle oil and microscopic amount of crab. We will definitely go back.

Pretty good food and a bit pricey (like most places in this region). Definitely not warm and fuzzy like it used to be. Service was really minimal and lacking - really felt like the staff may have been stressed and unhappy. Overall experience left us wanting to leave as soon as possible (skipped drinks and dessert, etc). Here's hoping they can recover from whatever is happening.

We visited on Sunday night, they charged us for bread! If going to a upscale restaurant, complimentary bread to enjoy while sipping cocktails is pretty standard, so it's very unfortunate that they have cheapened themselves again by beginning to charge for bread. Last winter, they had signs out saying they would charge you for extra heaters around outdoor tables (!!). We have been dining at Parkside for many years, the waiters are wonderful and the food is excellent in general, but it is really disappointing to see them nickel-and-diming customers.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian portobello with ratatouille is excellent
