Awesome boba place!! We love coming for the happy hour from 6-8pm: buy 2 get 1 free! Our favorites are the Taro and Hokkaido oolong milk tea with boba. The drinks are always flavorful and top notch. We have never had a long wait and the service is always good. The store itself is clean and cute with floral decor. There is so much to try!

Amazing boba. Great drink options.. slush, shakes, milk teas, latte, fruit tea etc. LOTS of different toppings: boba, lot of flavored jellies, pudding, aloe vera and cheese/tiramisu foam. Waaaay better than Boba Co and they're always super quick.

Ding Tea has been my go to boba spot lately. Quick service with refreshing flavors and taste. I typically order a large lychee green tea, no sugar, and extra golden boba. The service is always friendly and I haven't had to wait long for drinks. The Poway plant wall also adds a nice decor touch!

this place needs help with ambiance for sure. music is way too loud for a small place like this. and speakers are next to the ordering so dude can't hear and we can hear his response. just not an appealing place. boba tea is decent. but the prices are misleading on the menu.

I ordered the monster boba latte and the strawberry yogurt slush. The slush was very sweet and the monster boba latte was amazing. The cashier was the only one working so luckily it wasn't too busy. I would come here again for a quick boba fix.

Honestly, in all honesty, I don't even know how to articulate my absolutely bizarre experience here. 1. Ding tea is a chain - drinks across all chains follow the same recipe, it should be reasonable to expect to go to multiple locations, get the same drink, and have it all taste the same. This location does not do that. Why? Just why. The oolong tasted so off, it didn't have the creamy tea flavor of other locations it tasted like straight up oolong powder, you know the cheap stuff that tastes burnt and wrong? Yeah that's what it was like here. Bad. 2. The price??? The audacity of the prices?????? $7.70. Seven-dollars-and-seventy- cents. For a large (+.95c) milk tea with MICROWAVED??????? boba (also upcharge of .95c). YES MICROWAVED BOBA. in the year 2023, the boba was microwaved in front of me. The audacity. Of it all. I'm shocked and speechless. I'm still thinking about it. What in the world. Does this location just not have access to boba warmers?? To a crockpot set to warm?????? Microwaved boba??? In front of customers???? And an upcharge of 95 CENTS????? AN ALMOST WHOLE DOLLAR FOR MICROWAVED BOBA THAT WASN'T EVEN WARMED????? THE AUDACITY?????????????? Microwaved boba?????? 3. The whole place did not feel welcoming at all but that's besides the point I'm just still mad about the microwaved boba All in all, literally down the street is another tea spot called Boba Co. about $6 for a drink but so much better than this ding tea in Poway. Microwaved boba?????????????????Interesting that business owner Tai N. replied to my review to tell me I was wrong. I'm sorry business owner Tai N, were you also in the store at the same time, cause I could've sworn it was just the one guy there who made my drink with the microwaved boba using the microwave that's right there in front of the receiving counter, or were you hiding? Is the microwave also there for decoration? Interesting choice I won't fault you there. But I will fault you over your audacious comment of where is the evidence, I don't make it a habit of photographing people when doing their job, but you can make it a habit as the business owner Tai N to loom through your CCTV if there even is one to see what goes on. How dare you say I didn't receive microwaved boba, was my tea microwaved then?? Am I just randomly having auditory hallucinations in this random Ding Tea in Poway? Am I giving this one star review for the hell of it cuz I'm bored? Now I know where the audacity to sell drinks for gauged out prices comes from. You should be ashamed of yourself. You should be ashamed of your business. You should be ashamed of your efforts and practices in regards to mediating any sort of situation. Don't message me again. This place sucks simple as that. Don't tell me what I experienced.

Stopped in for a drink. Completely empty. I was surprised that they didn't offer milk substitutes.(oat, almond, coconut, soy?) Then I saw this sign by the register. (Photo attached) NON- dairy creamer is NOT dairy free? Confused, because I was always told it was. I asked the girl behind the register and she just smiled and said she doesn't know what it says?? Really.? Ok we'll I read it back to her and she still couldn't explain it? I let her know it was confusing but she had no knowledge of it. They didn't seem to care about returning customers. Disappointed.

I'm not a big fan of boba but my daughter and her friends are so I find myself trying different tea places with them from time to time. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before trying this place because I probably would have passed, but my experience here was excellent today. I got a dalgona coffee milk tea and omg it was delicious. Decadent and a perfect balance of coffee and tea flavors. My daughter and her friend each got slushies with golden boba. I tried it and they were yummy as well. Very refreshing. The golden boba had a really nice texture- delicate and not gummy. The girls each got a macaron ice cream as well (I was in a good mood being a pushover, lol) and they both really liked it. I thought the prices were reasonable and the young man at the counter was very attentive and helpful. Generally I am not very impressed with boba/tea places but I can see myself coming here again. Give them a chance!

Oh, Ding Tea, Ding Tea, where do I begin? I sauntered in with high hopes, ready for a boba adventure that would send my taste buds on a rollercoaster ride. But alas, it turned into more of a boba battleground than a blissful experience. I ordered my go-to drink, eagerly anticipating those magical boba pearls, but they were as tough and chewy as a marathon through a rubber forest. I mean, seriously, boba should be tender, not a jaw workout! Presotea, they've set the gold standard for boba in my book. When you take a sip of their concoctions, it's like a dance party in your mouth. Ding Tea, here's a friendly suggestion: maybe it's time for a boba boot camp. Head over to Presotea, learn the secrets, and return with the boba brilliance we all deserve. In conclusion, Ding Tea, you've got potential, but it's time to unravel those tough boba pearls and serve us the San Diego boba dream we're all craving. Until then, I'll be sipping my pearls of perfection at Presotea!

Best boba tea I've ever had, and I've had quite a lot from different tea shops. In particular, the Taro Milk Tea with boba. I get this every time, and it's so much better than other tea places' taro milk tea. For some reason, other places can have taro that's like, chalky, or thick, it can be weird. But at Ding Tea Poway it's always smooth and tastes great. They also let you customize your levels of ice and sweetness, by quarters of amount, meaning you can get any order with like, 75% the normal amount of ice and 25% the normal amount of sugar, for example. You can even get extra, and I used to get 125% sugar, which was very sweet and tasted great, but I eventually went back to just getting the standard 100% ice and 100% sugar.I've also had the Thai Iced Tea with boba, which is really good, as well as their ice cream sandwiches, also very good.I gave a 4/5 on atmosphere, because it's not like a big dining hall with lots of attention grabbing things on the walls to provide an "atmosphere," but that's not something I'm even looking for in a boba place. I don't know why "Atmosphere" is one of the three things Google asks reviewers to rate, to be honest, it's not all that important, but if I put myself in the mindset of someone who does care about atmosphere, I guess I can see how they might want more, as the store has a very simplistic style, very minimalist, just a straightforward menu with everything very clean and white. I like it, but again, if you're looking for an interesting or exciting "atmosphere" I guess you might want something with a little more excitement. Hopefully most everyone else agrees with me and likes it how it is, though. I don't have any recommendations for the place to be any better, I hope they stay open for as long as possible.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!I love Ding Tea and I usually frequent the location in Fashion Valley. I was in the area so I stopped here for a quick treat. The place was dead, which should have been my clue that something was off because the other location is always to the brim. We ordered a burnt cream taro drink and a mulberry tea. The drinks tasted nothing like the usual. Taro didn't even have the right color or it's signature vanilla-ish flavor. The drinks were not mixed or made properly. I stopped after several sips because it was grainy and unbearably bitter. I assumed they had not sieved the tea properly and that they were tea leaves. Upon closer inspection, there was some white residue that was giving the grainy texture. It left a film-like coating in my mouth once I stopped drinking . To top it off. The tapioca pearls were completely raw- like they were boiled for 15 seconds and then put into the drinks. This is really concerning because tapioca can be POISONOUS if not processed correctly. I had to throw up on the side of the road on the way home. Never, never again! I have half a mind to contact the health department.
