Amazing selection, customer service always friendly and there's nothing you can order here you won't like. The flavors and sweetness balanced perfectly, I wish this place was still open, best pastries ever! Does anyone know their contact info? I would love to see if they commission small orders from home. Been craving their goodies for a while but I always missed them due to their pandemic hours If not does anyone know a bakery/person who can make some of their pastries?!

They are closed permanently. We drove there thinking it was open since on google it said OPEN... well not open. Weird it didn't say on phone machine or on their door. But texted us a couple days after saying they are closed. I'm sad we didn't get to try this place. Just anyone wanting to go please know its CLOSED!!! DONT GET YOUR HOPES UP!

Very disappointed and couldn't give this place a proper review. For 2 days, I checked their hours, called many times between the "open" posted hours, no one answered so I left two voicemails. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I wanted to order a special princess cake for my sons girlfriend who was in town for the week and celebrating her birthday. I understand covid has affected a lot of businesses, however if this place is not open for business, just have your answering machine say it. And if it is, returning your calls would be nice.

Closed on a Saturday at 12pm without sign or notice. Waste of a drive. I have yet to try this place so I can't speak to the quality. But it was disappointing to come to a locked door.

WARNING WARNING WARNING RANCID OIL THAT TASTES LIKE CHEMICALS. How does this place have 4 stars??? Should have 0 stars. I got a rancid heart shaped cookie with jelly in center. Oil was rancid and tasted like I just mixed gasoline with chemicals and took a bite. Couldn't taste the sugar or anything just the rancid oil. Health department where are you??????

I drove 30 miles to buy a Swedish princess cake. It was going to be the highlight of my quarantine birthday. You should know I am a decent baker and i typically bake everyone's birthday cake for their birthday. For MY birthday i was hoping to treat myself with something special. I got a regular old cake with almond fondant and a thin raspberry filling. There was no custard and the cake was dry. I am beyond disappointed. The guy seems nice and that is why I am giving this 2 stars and not one.

I love their princess cake, this is my go to cake fir special birthday celebrations. With natural ingredients and the oh so wonderful taste of marzipan, this cake never disappoints.

I have driven by this place a ton of times and have never been inside. My family and I had dinner at a Thai restaurant close by and wanted something sweet. I had remembered seeing this bakery and so we gave it a try. We walked in and the desserts in the case were so beautiful! We were greeted right away from the owner and he was so friendly! He explained every dessert to us and recommended customer favorites. Their desserts were soooo fresh and unlike anything I've tried before. They had these cream filled desserts that looked like cannolis and my goodness they were insanely delicious!!! I can't wait to go back to this place and try other desserts that they have to offer!

Very angry about the service. I went out of my way to try this place and needed the restroom after a long drive. The guy wouldn't let me use theirs so I said I'd be right back after I walked to a bathroom across the street. I came back to the bakery and there was a "back in 30 minutes" sign. Drove here for nothing! Unbelievably rude!

I have to say, this review is really based on one birthday cake I bought, but honestly this bakery really went beyond my expectations. One day I went for a hike in Poway and saw this bakery as I drove by. I needed a birthday cake for my sister-in-law's birthday dinner and I knew I wasn't going to have time to bake one myself. On my way home from the hike, I stopped by. I was hopeful that they might have some whole cakes ready to go, but I wasn't sure. When I walked in, I was told that they had two types of whole cakes, and were busy baking fresh cakes right then. I asked if they could write on the cake, and they obliged. All the small cakes and cookies looked really good as well, but I chose the chocolate moose cake and left. I knew that trying a new bakery for a birthday is always a gamble. Well, it was delicious. It had layers of moist chocolate cake, with moose and raspberry filling between each layer, and it was surrounded by a shell of dark chocolate. Every part of it went together really well. I don't get to Poway often, and I guess that is a good thing, because I would be tempted to try everything in that bakery.

This 5 stars is dedicated entirely to the Napoleon. It is, perhaps, the best I've ever had. I was licking my fingers. And then, I was licking my wife's fingers. My wife didn't like that. It was that good. The mille feuille was perfectly flaky. The cream had the ideal consistency, sticky, not too dense, not too light. The sweetness was dialed in precisely. Bonaparte would be proud. Just for the Napoleon, I wish I could give more stars.

So I've been back here a few times since my last visit and just wanted to update my review! Once I stopped by to pick up 2 napolean, 2 or 3 biskevi and a slice of princess cake. The second time around I picked up one napolean, 3 biskevi and an entire princess cake. It was for my daughter's birthday and I told the owner I wanted 5 slices of the princess cake, but he told me that since a whole cake is about 8-10 slices and it's $28.50, it's better than getting 5 slices at $4.50 each, so I got the whole cake. I'm so glad I took his advice and got an entire cake, as my entire family loved it and devoured it!! And when I mentioned to him it was my daughter's birthday he asked me if I wanted to have them write anything on the cake and I said that would be really nice if they could. They surprised me with not only the writing but they had also put a pink rose in the center! I thought that was just the sweetest thing. And both times I've been in here I've been served by the owner himself and he is just the sweetest. He's so nice. He's always smiling and laughing. Every time I've interacted with him he's always been super polite. The desserts are always yummy and fresh every time I've come, so I'll definitely be back again and again.

Dropped by randomly after a quick errand in the Poway area. My sister and I were curious about the "swedish" treats! Surprisingly there were still plenty of goodies available even on a later Friday afternoon. The bakery is small with a few seating areas.. mainly tables for two. It's not all decorated out so probably good for just a quick bite to eat and then leave. The atmosphere wasn't exactly attractive for super long visits like a typical coffee shop. They DO also serve hot paninis.. which we weren't interested in trying just because we were on a sweets run! We chose a few goodies.. the best part was the younger gentleman helping us out offered to go make us FRESH cookies of what we ordered instead of opting to give us the ones sitting in the glass case. Way to treat the customer!! Five stars for that!! I'm hoping to try the unique cakes next time!

This is a locally owned bakery on the main road. They have a variety of desserts on display which include dairy-free/vegan options! Additionally they have a small menu where they serve actual food if you want to order something that isn't dessert. The guy who works here is Egyptian and is super sweet! I asked him about the dairy free options they had that day and he told me what was what. Additionally he was very personable which is always nice. I ended up getting 2 pastries, which I honestly cannot even remember the name of (they will be attached photos though) and they were dairy free! They were light and crisp but a bit too sweet for my liking (I'm a savory person so my sweet taste buds are a bit toooo sensitive sometimes). I would say that the pricing here is fair as well since pastries do take a lot of time and effort to make. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and want fresh pastries.

This bakery is one of our favorites and is worth the drive. The chocolate cake, princess cake, and chocolate cream cone are super delicious. This bakery nailed it with their chocolate cream, so velvety and perfect. The princess cake is fantastic, and it's better than Bottega Louie In LA (French bakery). Fresh tasting every time and good customer service.
