The "steak" was a few strips steak on a big bowl of mashed potatoes. For sure not worth the price. The dessert seemed great and salads were EXCELLENT. Will order salad next time.

This is a solid dinner option for Quincy (very slim pickings). The interior could use a little love. The service was great! The dinner was good.

I called in an order of their chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and chicken corn chowder soup. I wait almost an hour just to receive a container with chicken fried chicken and french fried soup smothered in a gravy. And warm chicken noodle soup. I drive back and wait another 20 minutes to receive my original meat and a scoop of potatoes with no gravy. $25 fyi. Gary needs to figure it out or close his doors. The guy is an incredible cook but the last few times have been only disappointing.

This chef is amazing ! We are from Southern California and this food is as good as any in LA. Our family enjoyed everything about this place. I would drive the 10 hours just to eat here.

After a long drive from Lassen Volcanic National Park on our way to Truckee, we were grateful to find food in Quincy. Google had good reviews of Sweet Lorraine's. So, we chose to eat dinner there. It is not a fancy place. The inside has tables and a bar and we could see outside dining through a door on the far side. We opted to eat inside. Service was not quick, but the food more than made up for it. My Honey Fried Chicken Salad was delicious. My husband really enjoyed the Mesquite Chicken and Shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes, vegetable medley and a salad. We found the prices to be reasonable.

Good food and old school vibe. Service was a little slow as there was only one waitress. The pasta dishes are really well done.

Small town Quincy is, but this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Excellent food and value. Pleasant friendly professional wait staff. I had the sweet chili chicken with wasabi flavored mashed potatoes (yum!! Never had this combination before but I'm going to try at home with salmon), steamed veggies (perfect, just right crisp but done!). The chicken breast had been sliced into thin cutlets, most were perfect, one was a little overdone. My husband has beef tips stroganoff over noodles. He thought it was top notch. I had salad (frisee lettuce, sliced onions, tomato wedges, cucumber slices, all crisp and fresh); he had their home made chicken noodle soup (lots of good stuff in it, he said). Only complaint was no wine choices per se. Red or white (chard, SB, viognier) but no labels or choices. Solid wine though (he had chard, me SB). It was a cold night already 33F when we were there about 6:30. Lovely meal to start my birthday weekend trip. Snow on the patio chairs. Smiles. Inside dining was quiet, small place. Prices below without wine

Good service and food. Lots of specials both nights I went. Very limited hours, hard to get there when it's open.

Sweet Lorraine's food, which I have had 3 times in the past 6 months, has been repeatedly inconsistent and little more than mediocre diner food. Be prepared to wait over an hour for your food and be disappointed when you get it. If you like microwaved frozen vegetables, runny pasta sauce, overcooked pork, beef, and shrimp, and an outrageous bill, this is the place for you. When I first moved to the area, I heard great things about this restaurant, I hope it can get it back together. What was once a culinary gem in this small mountain town has been reduced to an disservice. 2 stars because the whiskey bread pudding is pretty dank.

We were told this was the best place in town for a birthday dinner and we weren't disappointed. We enjoyed the atmosphere on the patio. I had the Asian chicken salad which was quite tasty.

Cute little place on Main Street in Quincy. Came because I saw other great reviews of this gem in town. The town itself, Quincy is a nice getaway place to relax, do hikes, and the people seem genuinely happy! We all could use that! The inside - super charming and clean. Nothing fancy and feels like home. It's like a mix between a cottage and small cafe. I would say it's probably one of the nicer places to eat in town from comparing. The service - they were attentive and quick. Really friendly and even though they started to get busy (2 servers) they were able to keep everyone happy and checked back to see if anyone needed anything. The food - it was done really well and surprisingly happy with what we got. I would say it's better than Olive Garden and you get better flavors!! Good portions too! I've seen people get the bread pudding and I passed on this day but a definite must try for next time. The table next to us got it and oh my goodness it looked hella bomb. They open and close for the morning and dinner crowds so check the times accordingly. It's nice if you can get in right as they open for dinner because you don't need a reservation or wait. Until next time, Sweet Lorraine's.
