Huge portions, just straight up huge. I'm used to downtown san diego portions of a small tostada for 12$. Not here, for that same price a got a mountain of ceviche on top of an already full plate of ceviche. And the quality and flavor was fantastic too. The tostada does get a bit soggy under all that, but with a side of chips it was easy to deal with. Aguachiles were nice and spicy, the shrimps did have some icy bits as if they were still defrosting though. Despite all that the experience was still great. Service was very friendly and eager to suggest things once they knew it was my first time there.

Everything there is to say about this lovely dining spot is positive. We're always seated right away, the service is quick and proficient; and the food is always excellent.Vegetarian options: Their menu offers a variety of dishes that can all easily be prepared vegetarian!Parking: There is a free parking lot, but it is small.

They should say that they close at 8, it is announced that they close at 9 and by 8 they no longer serve you anything, they left me without tortillas at 8:14 because the cooks were already washing the griddle

Great service, and best Mexican food in town . Has a great variety of food options. Great service even when it's really busy, shoutout to all the waitresses, especially the one named Yvonne. Highly recommend.

I find the food to be shallow and pedantic. Service was anything below Unsatisfactory. Ambiance was accompanied by a wet floor underneath our table. a small disregard for good sitting.

Smelled like butt and they charge for chips and salsa are you kidding no matter it was empty what a joke. Shrimp tasted bad and my kid was sick all night never again please close your doors before you make another child sick

I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could. visited Mariscos Mar de Cortez in Ramona, CA after a wine tasting event nearby. I had seen this place many times but never tried it before. I regret that I did. The restaurant claims to be a Mexican seafood restaurant, but the seafood options are very limited and disappointing. The ceviche we ordered was bland and watery, as if they just poured some clamato juice over it. The shrimp enchiladas I had for dinner were nothing special, and the Shrimp A La Diabla was just terrible. The sauce was basically ketchup with some hot sauce mixed in, and the all shrimp tasted pre-cooked. Service was also very mediocre. The young lady that served for us did m=not have much experience and made a few mistakes as well. I have had much better Mexican food elsewhere, even Chipotle is not this bad as that is a lot to say. This restaurant is not worth your time or money.

First time there. Have heard good things about it and decided it was time to try it. There were 4 of us in my party. No reservation was needed. Arrived around 2PM for a late lunch after doing a wine tasting 3 miles up the road. It was clean inside with booths in the front and some tables in the rear. Nothing really fancy but it was comfortable. We were seated right away, and the server came right over to ask what we would like to drink. She was very polite. We all ordered water, and she was back with it in a minute. The menu is very large with a really good selection to choose from. Lots of seafood dishes along with beef and chicken. I ordered the 3 meat fajitas and almost fell out of my seat when it was delivered. The serving size was the biggest I have seen on a fajitas plate. The sides were good proportion as well. One of other folks ordered fish tacos and the portion was large. They had the breaded fish and said it was great. The other two ordered enchiladas plates, which were also great.I am definitely going to come here again. There are so many things on the menu that I would like to try. I wish I had taken some photos to post but will do that on the next visit.Really good place to go.Vegetarian options: You need to look at the menu to find the vegetarian dishes.

First visit and was recommended by a local. The place was so busy, we immediately thought it must be great. However, we were very disappointed by the lackluster service, and the food. I mean, this had to be some of the worst Mexican food we've ever eaten. FOOD: First off, a basket of Chips & Salsa was $3...ouch! We started with an order of Camaron (Shrimp) Tostada Ceviche ($12.99) to share among the five of us. It was only okay. For entrèes, I had the Camarones a la Diabla ($22.99), which was awful. The shrimp were good, however the Diabla sauce tasted like ketchup, with sriracha for the heat, and the rice and beans were very bland. We also tried the Two Shrimp Enchilada Plate ($21.99), Camarones Rancheros ($22.99), Two Enchiladas Suizas Plate ($15.99), and Two Shrimp Enchiladas a la carte ($11.99). The green sauce on the Enchiladas Suizas was good, but everything else was bland or downright not tasty. Ramona needs good restaurants to accommodate their booming winery tourist experiences. Unfortunately, I don't think this one was. I'd be hard pressed to make a return visit. Very disappointing.

Fantastic food but I wish the pedestrian salsa was hotter. I do get the hotter salsa ( you have to ask for it) but besides that the food is excellent and I love their chile relleno with beans! Friends love the Chili Verde burrito and the Carne Asada burrito but I do not eat red meat. Also, they have a delicious sea bass ceviche tostada...rivals the Marisco's in Tulum! Service is wonderful and the same gals are here from a decade ago! The family that owns this restaurant are so nice and I highly recommend eating here!
