This place would probably be better if it was only open while the smoker was going, and only available untill sold out. I bought the tri-tip bbq burrito with the sauce on the side. I wanted to try it with out masking the flavor and freshness with bbq sauce every where. First off a bbq burrito is weird to me. Cheese, sauce, fries and meat, okay. The tri-tip had that old re-cooked, and re-heated look to it. Str8 pass for me, would not visit again!

The bbq here is good. It doesn't make my top list but it is enjoyable especially when I ain't gonna cook. Service is average, no complaints but no wows either. I think it's fun being located inside a nice liquor store but it could be trying for someone sober.

Brisket is great. Ribs are perfect, not over cooked, pulled pork has great flavor, and price is right. Service is self service and that is ok with me. Dining or ambiance is what to expect for a liquor store.

Best BBQ in Ramona. The rack of ribs is excellent. Our son loved the pulled pork sandwich and we had a share order of brisket fries!

Their menu changed from the last time I was here, offered amazing recommendations to replace what our normal to go was. My husband always gets the tri tip Mac n cheese, big portion for a hard worker. Their bbq is spot on, I've never had a problem with dry or overcooked meat. They have a smoker right outside of the store. It's attached to a liquor store, so it feels like a little secret that only locals know. I'm sharing with everyone that the food is great and worth stopping by if you're in the area. I only gave it 4 stars because it's not the best place to stop inside and eat with more than one kid to tend to.

Food was over priced and not good. I could of gone to a grocery store deli and purchased better tasting food at a better price. Took long to get food. Place was clean.

Really wanted to enjoy Pete’s but for the price, wasn’t a fan. Cornbread was dry, ribs were dry, Mac n cheese tasted like cheese from a can. Baked beans were the bomb tho! Burrito size was huge. Hope to come back when food quality improves.
I had the brisket. It was very good. I was hoping the portion would be bigger so I could have taken some home for another meal. However, the sides are awful. The Mac and Cheese tasted like plastic. Even Velveeta would have been an improvement. The onion rings were those fake minced and formed rings. The coleslaw was ok. If I ever go again I'm just getting a pile of meat.

Went back after a poor experience a year ago in hopes to find improvement. Ordered the brisket plate which comes with two sides. Brisket was sliced very thin like bacon and over cooked. Very little flavor. Was up charged for the onion rings and asked if I wanted cornbread or dinner rolls and up charged again. Never explained that there were additional charges for both. All in all $26. Very disappointing. Hopefully their other options are better.
