The owner John, signed my bottle I purchased, for he knew I was giving as a gift. He also shared the info that they take groups to Mexico winery, and me and my family will do this

Don't let the appearance fool you, the wines are amazing and John; the man who owns the winery, has fun stories and is so kind. The Miss Piggy Port is absolutely fantastic. The Sangria is to die for and the other red wines are all delicious. Bring some snacks to pair and get the tasting. Don't skip this underrated winery!

Shirley opened up a bit after 11am. The grounds are set up with a bunch of tables and chairs and some outdoor objects de art. Vines are located adjacent to the public gathering area. Wines are basic, some blends and a few single varietals. No vintage on bottles. This property is an entertainment venue. No wine lists available for taking notes or as a reference.

Stopped by to do some tasting. Tasted Chardonnay, White blend, Merlot, Red Blend, Cabernet Sauvignon and a port. Grapes are mostly outsourced. Wines not terrible. Just not one stood out to me. Their price is too high in my opinion. Tasting fee is $15 per person and not waived with purchase. Vintages are not listed on bottles. Server is nice and welcoming but didn't offer any information about the grapes.

Been driving by this Winery for the last several years and decided to stop. Sure glad we did. Proprietor is a very interesting gentleman to talk to. A lot of very interesting artifacts on the property. Couldn't choose which wine to buy so purchased 4 different bottles. Can't wait to go back.

Stayed on this gorgeous and eclectic property using Harvest Host and it was great! They only do tastings Saturday and Sunday but we're gracious enough to meet my family and I Friday afternoon to purchase a few bottles. What a lovely place to spend the day!!

Had a get together here today, a cold Sunday afternoon in January with friends and family from out of town. Johnny and Shirley welcomed us with "old school" service, friendship, and hospitality that is all but extinct in this day and age. The wine they served was absolutely excellent. I can't say enough about the friendly atmosphere Johnny and Shirley provided. We will definitely be back on a warm summer afternoon to enjoy some live music and wine. Excellent local winery!

The wines here are really fantastic, unlike the fancy wineries where everything is cool except for the wines. Here, each of the 9 wines with a unique aroma and aftertaste. They also have an incredible port, and all three types. Special thanks to the owners, very hospitable and kind people. Only good people can make such wine!)

Really friendly, authentic winery - the first winery in Ramona! Some of the vines go back to the 1950s, and the winemaker John planted his first vines 30 years ago after he acquired the property. I really enjoyed hanging out and talking with John as I enjoyed my wine-tasting (only $10). We shared a love of Baja and the wines of Valle de Guadalupe, so it was fun to talk about restaurants, wines, and was excited to learn that they host overnight wine-tasting bus trips down to Baja/Valle, staying at La Fonda. Would love to do that with them sometime. More info on their website. I tried the Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc/Chenin Blanc, Harvest Red (a blend of Cabernet and Granache), Merlot and their gold medal winning Cabernet Sauvignon. My favorite was the Cab, and I got a bottle of that, although I liked the Harvest Red, too. They often have special events, and today, they were setting up for a band to play 1-4 pm, and were going to be making pizzas. Wish I could have stayed longer!
