Food was tasteless and bland. Customer service was horrible and rude. Tried charging us stuff we didn't even order. Called out the server for messing up our food and drinks and they brought out new ones and charged us for the old ones. What a disgrace of a restaurant.

No drink menu. But some of the drinks they were serving looked very good. Apparently you needed to speak Spanish to eat there. I was never asked if I wanted to eat. I didn't feel like I was welcome. I was hungry and the website looked good. I have no idea what they have to eat.

You can always tell if a Mexican restaurant has authentic food based on their salsa. Well, we always ask for extra red salsa Our favorite thing to order is crispy tacos especially birra!! Tonight, I decided to mix it up and asked for asada fries, but substitute the asada for birra. It was a delicious switch up. Great portion sizes, too. We're a family of 7 and eat here weekly.

We went to eat at Cantaritos for dinner with friends. Upon entering, it looks like an average place, no decor that makes it look inviting or appealing. Pretty average. The ladies at the front counter seemed nice while taking our order. While the food was being made, I went to wash my hands and did notice the restroom smelled bad. It looked clean but smelled dirty if that makes sense? Like old water or like it had not been cleaned for a while. No biggie, looked clean. Upon sitting down, I noticed the table wasn't wiped well and the booth had old tortilla chips scattered over the seat. The front counter lady brought us a basket of chips, a red and green sauce and one sauce I assume was "queso". All the sauce came prepacked in little plastic sauce containers, meaning no salsa bar here. A friend and I noticed the green guacamole sauce was fizzy and a little sour like it had gone bad. I skipped eating the rest of it. The jamaica drink I got was ok, again, average.Food came out fairly quickly, I ordered the chicken flautas which also included beans, rice and small side of guac. Portions are average, I paid about $32 for this plate and a drink. The food here lacks flavor. The beans and rice were flavorless and the chicken flautas were meh. The chicken they used is dry and flavorless while also being sort of stiff. No shredded chicken, it's more like small pieces of possibly grilled or fried chicken? After we got done eating, our plates sat at the table the whole time until we left. No one came to pick up plates or trash.Overall, it was ok but I would not go back. The food isn't good, the place could use some cleaning and it would be nice if the tables were checked on. Giving this place 3 stars because it's average, nothing stood out and food lacks flavor. I will say that besides the green guacamole sauce, everything tasted fresh.

EAT HERE! Best food flavors I've ever had for Mexican cuisine. Loved all my dishes. Pozole, chilaquiles, tacos de cabeza, de al pastor are so delicious. Caldo de res, cantarito drink. Churro. So good. Best Hispanic food in all of Sacramento hands down.

If you are looking for good food served in a timely manner, this is the place. I am usually not a big fan of Mexican food but it was so good. The portion sizes matched the prices. Located in a plaza, there is ample parking outside and lots of seating inside.
