I am originally from Chicago and when I saw the Chicago Dog on the menu, it peaked my interest. I ordered the Chicago Dog and it was okay. It was punched with the flavors that made me miss home, however, the bun is just to BIG. Back home Chicago style hotdog is on a poppy seed bun and isn’t so big. I would give it a 5star but because of the bun, I’ll give it a 4 for the flavor and service.

I got the LA street dog because it always smells so good after a concert and vendors are grilling them. I'm too scared to try one cause I'd be that person that gets food poisoning. The LA street dog is aesthetically pleasing, but lacks in taste. It's odd because there are so many ingredients, but no flavor and very bland other than the saltiness of the hot dog. I was unimpressed I'll take my chances from the LA street vendors. I don't think it was worth price I paid. I also got the beignets. Those on the other hand were delicious. I was pretty surprised how airy the dough was. I'd skip the hot dog and just get the beignets.

As my eldest daughter and I were walking through the aisles in Haven City Market (HCM) this past Friday, an advertisement with beignets on it caught our eyes. It happened to be at Dog Shack Gourmet Hotdogs which is surprising. Anyhoo, it brought me back to when we were at New Orleans and there is a famous beignet shop there. We had to try this beignet. Since it is near Valentine's Day, the beignets came in heart shape... how adorable! An order came with 4 heart-shaped beignets with a choice of strawberry, chocolate, or caramel. We chose caramel as that was recommended to us by the nice gentleman who took our order. Best choice indeed! Thank you! Unfortunately, the texture of the beignet was firmer than I would have like. It was slightly dense. If it was fluffier, it would have been better. Price was a bit high for 4 beignets... at least 6. We probably will not get the beignets again. However, we'll come back to try their hotdogs. Glad they have a vegetarian dog as I do not eat beef anymore. See yah next time!

We came upon the Dog Shack one evening when I was in town for an event and Gary T. had just gotten off work. There would be food for us later, but we were hungry and had a couple hours to kill, so after cruising through the entire Haven City Market about three times with analysis paralysis (so much great sounding stuff!!), Gary made the decision to try a gourmet corndog and frozen strawberry lemonade at the Dog Shack! He ordered the jalapeno cheese corndog and the thing was MASSIVE! It was hilarious for us and our sophomoric senses of humor as we assessed the situation and tried to figure out how to take a bite of this nearly half-pound sausage on a stick without being self-conscious or obscene. We decided there wasn't any good way, the aroma was alluring, and our stomachs were growling, so we just went for it... This dog was SO DELICIOUS! The cornbread batter was light and fluffy with the perfect crispiness on the outside. The sausage was one of the best jalapeno cheese sausages we've eaten anywhere. It was craft butcher style, in a big link with a snap, juicy polish sausage style seasonings, and actual chunks of melty cheddar cheese and jalapeno bits. SO GOOD!!! So good in fact, that I'm not sure any other corndog will ever satisfy us in the same way... Like, if we were smokers, we'd have to step outside to light up afterwards... Okay maybe I'm exaggerating -- or maybe I'm not... Oh- and I almost forgot-- the frozen strawberry lemonade was tasty and refreshing, especially since that spicy corndog left us thirsty... There are a ton of other tasty sounding items on the menu as well, but it's hard for me to imagine they'll be better than that corndog. Guess I'll just have to work my way through the menu! So anyway, next time you're in Rancho Cucamonga with an insatiable hunger, stop by the HCM and get you some at the Dog Shack (and if you're eating it there, just leave your insecurities behind - it's a safe space for foodie fantasies).

Meh... Stopped in The Haven City Marketplace for dinner tonight, and my husband and I decided we were gonna do hotdogs. While the service was great, and my husband loved his Korean dog, my LA Street Dog was just alright at best. The description on the menu board made it seem like it was going to be like one of the street vendors outside SoFi. Sadly,, this was not the case. Like I said, it was just alright, nothing spectacular. Certainly not close to the deliciousness of a real LA street dog. The fries that came with our combo were really good though. If we go back, I for sure would not get the LA dog. My husband loved his Korean dog. He's still talking about how good it was...lol!

Ordered the LA dog and it was less than appealing. Also the fries weren't good, dry and flavorless. Maybe I caught them on an off day but won't be going back.

After standing at the counter for over 5 minutes before someone came out from the back, I ordered just a side of macaroni and cheese. It took so long for my order to be ready, I had time to order and receive food from two other locations at Haven City Market. When I arrived home to eat this evening, I got a few bites in before feeling something cut the roof of my mouth. It was this jagged, piece of metal. All around, really poor experience.

An enthusiastic young man at the hot dog stand, Caesar delivers a delightful culinary experience with his cooking skills. His passion for crafting tasty hot dogs shines through, making it a memorable treat for customers. The flavors are spot-on, and the service is quick, creating a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

So being a Chicago native decided to give their gourmet Chicago dog a try. Got it with the garlic fries on the side. One of the few places that actually get the Chicago dog correct and the grilled bread bun is a great alternative to the traditional poppy seed bun. The fries were a little to salty for me but definitely heavy on the garlic which wasn't a bad thing. Located in the Haven City Market seating can be hard to find when it's busy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Prices are on the higher side of average but location probably has a lot to do with that. Would definitely eat here again.

Great Dogs, I stop by every weekend for lunch during my lvn clinicals and it hits the spot. Even their subs are a must.

Improper food handling behavior & extra ingredients that were not listed on the menu: The employee making my food used his food gloves to handle a customers drink refill, handle money and the POS system, and touch multiple handles at the front. He never changed his gloves before handing me my food. I was upset, but since all my friends had already received their food, I didn't have the time to ask for a refund/order from somewhere different. It was not busy at all, we were the only customers I saw; so I believe he absolutely had the time to change his gloves. Additionally, the pineapple teriyaki cheeseburger I ordered had mustard on it; mustard was not listed as an ingredient on the menu. I left disappointed and grossed out by my experience.

I was enjoying my corn dog until I almost broke my tooth from chewing on some small object that was HARD. Almost had a loyal customer. 3/10
