Just had a wonderful dinner and experience at the New Lake Asian food restaurant. I highly recommend this place and think you will enjoy it as well. :-)

Concise review here... THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC!! The food is lovely, fresh, and perfectly prepared. I moved away from the Southern California area several years ago and I promise you that on every future trip to the area, I will eat here once or probably twice. They use no MSG, which will be pleasing for my wife. The service is polite and efficient, and they are happy to explain any of the dishes on their menu, which is very well-rounded. The pricing is very appropriate for the quality, quantity, and selection of dishes. Although the decor is very unstated, this is fine. The table clothes are still linen, and the table decorations are simple yet attractive. My only less-than-positive comment is that the restaurant is located in an open-air mall three doors down from a Mountain Mike's pizza place. This is NOT the fault of New Lake Asian, but the kids outside were running wild, screaming at the top of their lungs. A small niche in the adjacent building wall was also perfect for a Dodgeball game. And the kids took FULL advantage of this opportunity. I don't know where the parents were, but their lack of attentiveness dampened the meal's enjoyment slightly. But again, kids or no kids, I will return!!

This is an exceptional place to eat. I am so happy I finally live near a restaurant that serves my favorite asian dishes. The meat dishes are always tender and so flavorful. Service couldn't be any better.

Delicious, fresh and healthy. Loved it all! We asked for less oil, and it was not greasy at all like some places. It is a small family-run place. Service was very efficient and friendly.

Orange beef worth it. Workers were nice. Relaxing inside. I would order anything they have "orange". Great flavor.

We just discovered this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Well we were very pleased with the food and the service. They use a lot of fresh vegetables in the preparation of their dishes and their Hot and Sour Soup is delicious. It was so good we went back the next night just to buy more soup!

The proprietors of the restaurant are very nice. The restaurant appeared clean, and the food came out promptly, but that's where the compliments have to stop. The food was bland, the portions were small, and the presentation was underwhelming. I tried the wor wonton soup, it was too salty but still not flavorful. We tried the mu shu shrimp and the pancakes were mostly empty but the was no filling remaining. The Bbq pork and snow peas was mediocre at best. If you want good Chinese food, or traditional Cantonese cuisine, keep going to the next option. Irvine's only 20 minutes away.

My wife and I decided to try this place out and we're glad we did. The food is great! She had the house special chicken, which comes on a bed of broccoli, has a side of rice, and a little egg roll with the lunch special. The broccoli was fresh, cooked perfectly and I must say... was delicious with the sauce. I had the szechuan pork. Spicy and delicious as well. We'll definitely come back for more. There were a lot of other menu items that sounded really good.
