Prices too high the food selection isn't that great. This restaurant could be so much more. It's in a great location. With the right menu and prices this restaurant could be one of the top dinning spots in Red Bluff!

My family took me to the Green Barn for my birthday last week. We were seated promptly, water came efficiently, and our drinks were delivered promptly as well. We are a family of buffalo wing eaters, so if they are on the menu we'll probably order them. They came out hot, crispy on the outside, but they drizzled a bit of the buffalo sauce on the wings instead of shaking them. A minor thing maybe, but there ended up being more sauce on the plate than on the wings. We ordered calamari as well, and it was served with our meal, even though we intentionally ordered our starters prior to our main course to avoid this. The breading fell off the calamari as soon as you picked up a piece, and you were left holding a stick of calamari steak. I'm not averse to this, but the rest of my family had no interest and we left with half the order still on the plate. Of the four of us there, my daughter is the one who has a definite opinion about how steaks should be cooked. Rare. The rest of us should just eat chicken. The four of us ordered some sort of beef, my daughter a steak. It came out medium-well. My wife's medium-rare actually came that way, and they traded, so neither got what they had ordered. (As a family we rarely send anything back. The damage is done. She'd be eating her potato and her new steak would arrive as the rest of us are ready to leave). I ordered the chimichurri flank steak with a loaded potato. Bravo on the steak and the chimichurri sauce. But the bed of grilled onions and jalapenos were a. lacking jalapenos, and b. so greasy I couldn't eat it. And finally, the loaded potato came with nacho cheese sauce on it. M H. writes in their review "Very successful and always busy high end restaurant....." Really? They must know the owners. If you put nacho cheese sauce on your potato you have removed any kind of "high-end" moniker. I was going to go with a 2-star ranking, but the service was really pretty good. If I return I'll go with a steak or pork chop without anything like grilled onions (onions simmered in oil). And a potato, that I will ask them to hold the nacho cheese sauce. Save it for some nachos. I still smart at paying $260 for that meal. It wasn't worth it.

Stopped here for dinner on our way home from the bay area. It was the worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. I ordered the large cut of prime rib medium RARE. After waiting for over 45 minutes I finally was serviced my meal. The prime rib was served MEDIUM WELL! I'm not sure what was going on in the kitchen, but they need to get their act together. We will not be going back to this establishment.

Food 4 stars. Service 5 stars. I just got home from Green Barn. I have been on the road for 5 days and needed a smile, a steak and a beer. I sat down at the bar and Amanda took great care of me. She was very busy but took the time to make me feel welcome. I had the filet, salad, loaded baked potato and two Bold Rush Ales. After dinner I paid and left the restaurant. As I was driving away, Amanda chased down my car to give me my credit card. She ran out during the dinner rush to get me my card! She was awesome. The dinner was great too!

Very successful and always busy high end restaurant. In the evening expect to wait for a table. The food is quite good but a bit unpredictable. Better certain nights than others. There is no competition in Red Bluff Ca. If you want a good steak, this is your only choice that I know of. Not inexpensive. I had a Filet Mignon dinner and it was nearly $50.00. The food in general is terrific. DONT be afraid to try their burgers if you're on a budget.

Five of us came in for dinner and a cocktail. Three of us sat while we waited for the other two to join. 20 minutes passed before someone finally greeted our table. The soup and salad came before our drinks. My friend ordered a Coke and a server or server assistant walked by, slammed the glass on the table and walked away. I ordered the Tuna Tower. When our food came, I was hit with a strong fishy smell from my tuna. It tasted terrible and the tuna was mushy. Two of my friends tried it and they confirmed it was bad. I asked for the artichoke dip instead. Everyone had finished their food by the time I received my order. It tasted okay but it was topped with a puddle of grease. The service here was terrible and the food was okay. I have no desire to go back.

Love the atmosphere, makes me want to go back… but unfortunately that’s all they got going for them. First thing, being a whiskey bar, they have a very select variety to choose from.Second thing, you’ll be the third table in there and the waitresses act like you’re a bother and they don’t check on you that often.Lastly, the food is your basic run of the mill food. Sure if you want to not cook it’s ok, but I had the prime rib and my blind cousins uncle could have cooked a better one using McDonalds kitchen. Just saying, you get the point.

The fried pickles have changed. The batter was chewy and undercooked? They were not crispy or crunchy AT ALL. The Louie salad was nothing special either. For the price, I'll go elsewhere

prime rib, loaded baked potatoes and drinks were excellent. The salad needs to be fresher.
