Really good sushi, the sweet chili sauce with the sushi was amazing. Mongolian BBQ plate was great, if you know what sauces to mix.

Video on Facebook shows a live cockroach right next to the food, and rotten food as well in the bins. Owner is a lowlife as well according to several people and does not care about employees or food safety, only money

Loved this place! Mongolian style BBQ is awesome! For those that are unfamiliar, consider it the burrito bandito of stir fry: you walk the buffet filling your bowl with ONLY the ingredients and seasonings you want, then hand it to the grill cook who cooks it to perfection before plating it and handing it back to you. Exactly what you want, every mood every time!Had their spicy tuna rolls as a discount add-on, and they were very tasty, making me want to taste their more advanced sushi offerings. Definitely will go back for sushi moods as well as stir fry moods.Even their signature cocktails are good, plus a full enough bar they've likely got whatever you drink.Do yourself a favor and try this place if you haven't already.

Lots of options for sauces, but not a lot of options for ingredients. The bowls seem smaller than they used to be and you can only make one trip through. I filled my bowl as much as I could and was still hungry when I finished. Not worth $20. Service was only so-so. They brought our rice and drinks fast but then never stopped by once to offer refills or check on anything. Overall we left feeling disappointed. Won't be back.

From a friendly and prompt greeting, to bringing drinks, and checking in, our host was lovely. My date and I had the bowl, as on does at an establishment like this. We had a blast listening to and watching the cooks interact with those waiting. It was fun and fabulous. I love visiting this location and will definitely visit again!

One of the first restaurants my wife and I moved to Redding CA was Kahunas Mongolian BBQ. We like Asian food and there really wasn’t a Mongolian BBQ in Rochester NY (where we moved from). Now, a year later, we dine in at Kahunas every few months! We never get tired of their variety of meats, vegetables, noodles and sauces for a good Mongolian BBQ. We always start with a tasty Sushi - usually one of their rolls. YUM!After our recent visit, I decided to do a review. We went to Kahunas on the Saturday evening before Christmas. We went early for a change (6PM). There was plenty of booths/tables and we opted for a comfortable booth. It’s a pretty large place with a very good bar area and a large dining area. In between are the sushi chefs working away. It’s a very nice looking restaurant - inside and out.Once seated (quickly) we decided on a Sushi appetizer. They have a loooong list of rolls, nigiri and sashimi. We typically order off the Premium Sushi side - great combinations of fish, veggies and or fruits and spices/things like coconut, sesame seeds, etc.Great stuff. We went for the Pacific Roll - a big roll with crab and cucumber on the inside topped with tuna, mango, sliced green onion, sesame seeds and a nice tangy mayo.It was delicious. The sweet mango balancing the rich tuna and crab perfectly. We have done a number of their other rolls - some with tempura shrimp, some even deep fried - we are never disappointed.Sometimes, if were hungry enough, we also order their Gyoza. Fried pot-stickers, not too crispy and great tasting! Highly recommended at every visit. Now, on to the BBQ!The fun part. You get a “kinda” small bowl to mound all your choices. We learned on our second visit the trick - there are hand gloves at the start of the line. Put one on and use it to push the foods into the bowl. Get much more - and the bowl gets dumped later on the grill.Fill that bowl firm and overflowing! For the proteins, there is shrimp, very thinly sliced fairly frozen beef and chicken - and chopped up pork belly.Next up - noodles, thin ramen style, thicker buckwheat and sometimes regular thick noodles. There is an almost overwhelming selection of vegetables and addons like cubed tofu, mushrooms, shredded sweet potato, bean sprouts, zucchini, onions and pepper etc.Far too many to type out.Again, remember to squish all of them as you are filling your bowl.At the end there are tons of sauces! The usual soy, garlic oil, sesame oil and even sauces like Kung Pao and teriyaki!Another tip - go big on the sauces - spool at least 6-8 (even more!!!!) over your bowl. Finally the “big show”!!You make you way to the Mongolian Grills - 2 of them around 4 feet in diameter, each grill has the grill master working the food. You hand over your bowl and with a flourish it’s emptied on the grill top - and starts to sizzle and steam. Other bowls are also added - your food is slowly worked around a circle on the grill. Finally the grill chef swoops your now cooked assortment of food onto a plate. At this station ther is also a large collection of spices, salts, sauces to add after cooking. Again, for too many to describe!(Don’t forget a small tip for the grill guys).Back at our table with out customized choices and while away, a rice bowl is on the table. Perfect. This time I went “noodle free”. Just some delicious beef, chicken and some pork belly along with a bunch of vegetables. My sauce choice was mostly soy, garlic oil and some sesame oil.My wife opted for the buckwheat noodles, shrimp, chicken and all kinds of vegetable! Both were delicious!!!! Along with some of the white rice - another great (and filling) meal at Kahunas. If you have never done Mongolian BBQ, give them a shot! Fun and Flavorful :-)
