Um, how is this $58. For $58, I want a full ribeye. The ribeye dish included 3 pieces. This photo shows 2 of the pieces. The pieces were tasty but the serving size is skimpy. I stay here often for work but this will be the last time I eat here. The bartender and drinks were great.

Walked in with 2 people before us. Stood there for about 15 minutes as multiple employees walked past us. Tons of tables available all around us. Finally about to get seated told there was a wait. No apology or anything.

Mosaic is a restaurant that tries too hard to be unique with a menu of "artisan" sandwiches and salads meant for people with too much money to throw around or people who are naive to their poor quality and think "artisan" means something fancy.

Very nice experience. Went there with a group of 3. I had the carpatio, stripe bass with risotto, berry cheesecake that was on special, and 2 craft cocktails, all were excellent. Attentive friendly service.

Great drinks & service severly undercut by conceitedly overpriced food. Mosaic owner(s)/chef(s) should take inspiration from Scott's in Sacramento, Crow's Nest in Anchorage, or other similarly priced restraunts that serve dishes that warrant their price tag.I do want to be clear that the price is a primary issue. The $58 ribeye that was ordered was prepared well, but is boneless and approx. 8oz (possibly only 6-7oz) with extremely light accompaniment. There are plenty of restraunts at mosaics price point that prepare the same dish equally as well or better with reasonable portions and accompaniments.

We went there for Valentine’s Day, and had the most amazing time that I could remember in recent history. The service was incredible and so was the food and wine pairing. The attention to detail is second to none and there are no comparable restaurants in the area. I can’t say enough good things about my experience there and it was definitely one to remember!Vegetarian options: There are very good selections for vegetarians, and it does not leave them missing out on any of the main entrées

We stayed at the Sheraton Sundial and ordered in room dining from Mosaic. We were blown away by the delicious food! I ordered the Brussels which were absolutely scrumptious. Unfortunately the Margherita pizza I also ordered had way too much tomato sauce and not enough cheese but the Brussels sprouts made up for it! My husband ordered the beef carpaccio and the asparagus and found both to be remarkably delectable!! Will definitely eat here the next time we pass through Redding!

They've gone downhill. Not sure we will go back. Unfortunate because they have so much potential! We were celebrating our son's bday and put that on our open table reservation and mentioned in front of our server. She never even said happy birthday to him. Food was meh and they messed up one order. No apology or concern and they were not busy but it was still very slow.

The place is beautiful, next to the hotel, an near the museum too. (There is another place to get food in front of the museum as well). They were able to sit a larger family of 6. Staff were all wonderful. The food was the issue. When food arrived there was a weird / off odor. The kids 13/8/4/2 all began to eat. Then then all stop an declined the pizza. They all said it was gross. They were busy so we just shared other food with the kids. They are the crust. We asked what type of cheese etc was use an was told provolone (typically it’s mozzarella). We assumed maybe it was that. We also tried the pizza an it tasted gross. The kids ate the crust. Thankfully we only order one. We didn’t want to bother much. We asked what cheese an left it at that. The burger was to say the least. I didn’t even finish it. An I love burgers. My husband enjoyed the Apple pie pizza. That was delicious.

We had carpaccio as an appetizer. Beautifully presented with arugula but there was little of the ribeye for $24. We ordered the duck and had it split and it was two slivers only one on each of our plates. And that was $55. it was good, but still needed to work on the presentation and taste of Chinese five spice. Caesar salad was delicious, but for such a nice restaurant, they should have fresh anchovy filets in addition to being in the dressing paste. .

Impressed! We dined here expecting the food to be ok given the more touristy location but we were wowed by our plates. The miso steak salad had an absolutely delicious spicy and delicate dressing and perfectly cooked steak, while the pizza we chose also came with a splendid tomato sauce(to all complaints about long waits on pizza…. What did you expect- It’s cooked and prepared right in front of you, enjoy it?!). Absolute pleasure to eat there with a good, laid back atmosphere. The service was great with very knowledgeable employees that aren’t overbearing like in many other restaurants. Loved it and will be back.Forgot to mention: the cocktails are worth it too.
