Was doordashing and had to grab a lunchabel's pack so had to reach over the tape the guy waxing the floors put up and he got angry and started cussing me out saying don't you see the fuc*in tape get the fu*k out of here." It was the guy waxing the floor by the meat around 1am on 6/15/23. Such a terrible experience

This review is for the west side Safeway market and cypress. My bought a Strawberry Boston today and we were celebrating and when we tried the dessert we had white berries that weren't ripe and they had the strawberry glaze over top so they didn't look white. Had anybody known the strawberries were white I think we'd have passed. this seems a bit shady to me but nonetheless it isn't good customer service. if a customer buys a dessert it should be made with proper fruit.

Favorite store in Redding! Always friendly ?

This store is consistent!! Went in to buy there special in the deli department and surprise, surprise they are out. The staff does not care to keep product available as very few in this particular store do care about performing their job. The management in this store is lacking for certain.

Shout out to manager Tina from the Enterprise store. She called me about my complaint regarding the wing station and let me know that I can request fresh wings cooked while I shop. Good to know I can buy cooked wings without buying from the wing station. ?? the deli workers will receive training that this option is available to all who have time to wait for them to be cooked. Thank you Tina for personally reaching out to me to resolve this issue.

Safeway on E. Cypress, I called them and told the guy in the meat department that I would be driving from Anderson, I asked if they had filet, he quickly said "YES" I also asked if they had enough to feed 6, "YES" also do you have the little green propane canister, "YES" I drove ALL THE WAY UP THERE! no filet, ran out this morning! He was to dang lazy to check! I'm calling the store manager, he got off at 6 pm Monday night 9/12/22 thanks for nothing lazy meat guy!

If you like to stand in the checkout line and twiddle your thumbs for 15 minutes, this is your place to shop. Rarely do they have enough check stands open. Rarely do they have enough clerks to bag up your groceries. Management doesn't care about customer service at all. I'll have to start shopping at Holiday Market more often. The waits are short and you never have to bag your groceries. Thank goodness that there are a few businesses in Redding that make it a priority to make sure their customers have pleasant shopping experiences. One star is an "F" in my book. Safeway--you're failing!

I'm a little disappointed. I ordered a birthday cake and it was wrong. Unfortunately we didn't know this until we cut it and that time it was too late. Please understand they are usually very good. I don't know what happened. Sad ? day

The store has what I want and the staff are friendly.the problem, no one is enforcing the covid-19 safety precautions. Almost 100% of the customers are without masks. The meat department manager was without a mask while handling and serving raw meat.

I've been to Safeway's in Anderson, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, Lake Forrest, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, San Clemente, the list goes on. Out of every store I have ever visited, this one here on Cypress is my favorite. The reason resides with the employees. They care about their guests, they care about their product. Today was Thanksgiving and I need to swing by the store to pick up a few things. A gentlemen (manager I presume) had been helping me with a coupon when a lady came up to him, cut me off, and screamed at him "where is the velveta cheese?!?" He calmly responded by directing her to where it was. Again she snapped "VELLL-VEEEE-TUUUUH!" (I was shocked, was this a reality show or something?) he again, kept his composure and made every effort to show her where she could find the cheese. She walked away and found her cheese. The guy shrugged it off and said he gets all sorts of customers. But still made no effort to talk badly about the woman. I respected that. Drug users, thieves, and mentally challenged people frequent these Safeways every single day and I think the very least thing we can do as customers is put our carts away. These employees are being paid too little to be doing a job that can be very hectic. When I see 10 shopping carts scattered across the lot, it bums me out. How hard is it to put it back? Keep up the great work 1070 E. Cypress Safeway. I go to your store a few times a week and am very grateful I live so close to my favorite grocery store ever.

How do you not make donuts at a grocery store with a "fill service " Bakery?! Seriously?...fire that manager, they're definitely affecting your profit margin. I was able to find donuts at their competitor right down the street.

Came here when mask was still required but less 1/3 had mask on and no one seemed to care. Walked around the store and no one was there to help, but when a staff seen another person in the isles, they made sure to ask them and them alone if they needed help.

I have always enjoyed shopping at Safeway due to their high-quality products and tremendous selections. I stopped in here for a few items chili powered and rye bread. Yum! I am sure people thought I was trying to steal something because I had no clue where anything was and was walking back and forth in the store. Eventually, I located the items I needed and was able to be on my way.

Just went there to get some fruits and beverage back to hotel. The guy at cashier is not friendly or helpful at all.
