Had the Mama Mia! It was delicious and tasted freshly made. The Dutch Crunch is a must try and my personal favorite bread. The person who took my order at the front was very friendly, and the person who made my sandwich and gave it to me to go was also very nice. Lots of indoor seating, nice sunroom.

Gabe provided excellent recommendations. Mama Mia on sourdough roll was very tasty, but a little on the dry side to other competitive sandwiches. The roll made it slightly tough to eat, but I still recommend the sourdough roll. Reuben had amazing favors that didn't over power one another. Sauerkraut was just the right amount of sour without being bitter and the marbled rye was pleasantly pungent. Corned beef was AH-MAZING. Then there was the jalapeno potato salad (or as I like to call it jalatato salad) was off the chain, if much drier than typical potato salads. It needs to become a regular menu item. Atmosphere was a little beat up and run down, but servicable, clean, and quiet.

I would definitely recommend this deli to anybody who likes a good freshly made sandwich. I would like to say today I saw not one but for employees rise up to action when an elderly man fell outside across the street from the deli and everyone came to help him that was amazing to see, I couldn't even get out of my car. They were willing to help him so fast!

We waited over 20 minutes for our food to be told that they're just now cooking the bread. We saw a bag on the counter and asked if it was ours, the guy at the counter said it was not. We waited a few more minutes and then decided we wanted a refund and to go somewhere else. Our food was instantly "ready", as it was the food in the bag on the counter we asked about previously. Disappointed with the service and the time wasted as staff was in the back showing each other their phones, instead of focusing on their customers and service. The foods okay, but not worth the time spent waiting. Overall, I do not recommend unless the service gets better.

A sandwich and pasta salad I had was very good. I really enjoyed the restaurant but I feel it was a little over priced.

I ordered food wasn't able to pick up and they still charge my card 36.00. They said they can't refund the money on my card. 33 year old in there things it's apporiate to call women sweethearts. We can do anything with our app.

This has always been my favorite place to eat when in Redding...I live about 100 miles away and always come here when I'm close. Today I was within about 30 miles so I made the trip over here to eat. I was pretty disappointed to say the least. Staff was polite but all but one of them were high school age and were preoccupied with visiting with their friends. There was only one other group of 3 people here and they were already eating but it still took about 20 minutes to get my sandwich (I was by myself) and besides that the place was empty . The bread on my sandwich (wheat roll) was rock hard like it had been out in the wind for a few days and literally destroyed the roof of my mouth to eat it. I wasn't going to risk another 20 minute wait to ask for new bread...I didn't have time to wait. I commend the 1 older lady employee...she was literally the only one doing anything the entire time I was here. I will be back and I hope it's back to normal next time or unfortunately that will be my last time. I know these guys can do better. Sad though...food and service like this can take a place out pretty quickly

I've been familiar with this deli for years, as it's a favorite spot for my mother and her friends to go. But I'm not crazy about sandwiches and hadn't eaten there till yesterday. I ordered a roast beef on Dutch crunch, to share with my mother. That, with cheese and two bags of chips came to just under $20. Our friend ordered the same, her order came quickly while ours was slow. But two staff members checked with us and let me know the bread was coming out of the oven. That's how fresh the bread is! When it came, I was blown away by how large the sandwich was. The roll was huge, and it was stacked with so much roast beef that I couldn't eat the whole thing! The pickle and peppers were pleasantly sharp and I loved the creamy mustard on the bread. While the restaurant was packed at the time we went in, it wasn't overwhelming. There are banks of windows, which make it feel more spacious. We stayed quite a long time, but never felt pressured to leave. My only disappointment was that they'd run out of the BBQ beef, which was the day's special. Guess that means I need to go back!

How can you call yourself "San Francisco Deli" and not have rye bread or corned beef? That's right, we went there today to get what I remember as some of the best sandwiches I have ever had and this was their response to our requests. My wife wanted a Reuben and I wanted a Pastrami on light rye to my order. NADA. We left and went elsewhere. Check one more off the list of places to eat at.

Delicious deli with hometown flair. The Dutch crunch bread is a must try if you are new to this deli. Meats and cheeses are fresh. They do catering and I suggest placing your order prior to coming in or come in on off peak hours. At times there may be a line so pack your patience. Tinted windows which helps with the triple digit heat in Redding. Establishment is clean and lots of TVs around with SF Giants swag. There is a $2 off if you check in on your Yelp app! Look forward to coming back and trying a new sandwich.

What used to be my favorite sandwich not just in Redding, but my favorite everywhere is now a place I will not go back to. The sourdough roll is still amazing but what used to be a generous amount of roast beef is now one slice that doesn't even cover the bread. $14.99 for this is criminal

Way over priced for a small sandwich. Just go down the street to Lucky Miller they're actually worth the
