What a great experience! We were looking for something new to try in town, and The Lighthouse certainly did not disappoint. The customer service was great! The cashier was joking with us while we were ordering, and another person was making sure everyone was happy. The restaurant was clean and didn't smell like fried food at all. The condiments station was spotless, the tables were clean, the floors didn't feel sticky. You know how the smell of fried food sticks to your clothes when you enter an establishment? You didn't have to worry about that at all here, which was much appreciated. The food...the food!! The serving size was enormous, more than enough to take home for a second meal. I loved adding the malt vinegar to the fries, it was the acid you needed to break up the richness of the fried food. The potato salad and cole slaw was nice and cool, a great side. The fish was amazing, perfectly crispy exterior with a flakey interior. The fish and chips didn't taste and feel oily at all, which was impressive to me. The fish didn't taste fishy at all, but the batter didn't overpower the fish as well. It was very well balanced. Definitely looking forward to coming back. I'll probably try the clam strips or calamari next time!

DELICIOUS BEST FISH I HAVE HAD IN YEARS. I traveled from Lake County 2.5 + hours to get the best Fish and Chips Ever. Great Place Good Atmosphere and Friendly Staff. And yes don't forget to Ring the Bell when you leave. The food is off the Hook.

My wife and I both really love good fish and chips. We were spending 4 or 5 hours in Redding on Friday and I looked up seafood in Redding for lunch as we live up in the town of Mt. Shasta. Lighthouse was one of the options that showed up, menu looked good so we drove over. What a pleasant surprise we found. Both order 3 pc fish and chips with a cup of clam chowder. Both got 4 pieces of fish which were crispy and fantastic. We will definitely make this a regular stop when we are down in Redding in the future. Staff was friendly, restaurant was being cleaned constantly while we were there.

The Lighthouse is an absolutely awesome place to take your family and friends!The food is always consistently good, the staff is friendly and kind, and the atmosphere is oceanic with neat wall murals.The prices are reasonable and affordable, and the serving sizes are large.I highly recommend the fish and chips as well as the zucchini !

Extremely juicy, super amazing tasting fish. I’m originally from LA and have to say this rivals Neptunes Net in Malibu. Perfect amount of batter. Their calamari isn’t like a traditional one, so don’t expect that, but was soft/tender, not chewy, and delicious. Highly recommend.
