My wife and I recently endulged ourselves to a healthy salad and drinks at J Riley Distillery. Greeters pleasantly welcomed and escorted us to our preferred dining area of the restaurant. We chose to dine on their outdoor patio and enjoy the cool spring atmosphere shortly after the rains. The day was a peaceful Saturday afternoon, and we had just finished running errands. Our server was punctual in attending to our needs and taking our orders. While waiting, we noticed the restaurant crowd was somewhat sparse, and hanging overhead were several outdoor heaters pointed downward in position to accommodate outdoor guests if the temperature dropped lower. Our server returned with our chopped salads, which were absolutely delicious. They come with a type of light creamy Asian dressing, crisp greens and a variety of vegetables such as sliced baby carrots, citrus fruit and slivered candied almonds. Guests can request a protein option, but we chose none. We enjoyed our visit and plan to return in the future.Parking: Additional parking is available in a lot across the street.

Wish the website was clear about the menus. Should not have to search through patron's photos for pictures of menus to get an idea of what you would like to try. Came on my birthday and was met with an entirely unexpected menu. Major disappointment. Food was not at all what I had hoped for. Two drinks and two entrées plus tip was $90 and I left starving. This place is a definite no for us.

Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here and everyone had a blast. Food was good, our waiter was super nice and Mr. J. Riley himself hooked it up again with his secrete menu drinks. This place is a nice hang out spot and their creations of drinks will not disappoint. Thank You again for the fun night.

Ummmmmm.....not impressed. Can't speak to the distillery quality. I'm reviewing food. Went to meet a friend for dinner. The menu is not extensive. No problem. However, one party member ordered sliders and they were "out". Okay...ordered something else. Fish and chips were excellent. And we ordered a salmon salad. This salad cost $18...and what arrived was delicious BUT size was disappointing for the price tag. It was served in a dinner side salad bowel and the salmon steak was thin...what???? Not only is there menu OVER PRICED in general, appetizer or entree your out $20, for "the same-O" bar menu items. And when you pay be prepared for 4+% surcharge for paying with your credit card. F&&$ OFF!!!! So that came right out the tip. Service was "okay", waitress seemed impatient with questions about the menu...isn't that their job? Anyway, overall NOT impressed. Nothing unique here for the price tag. All breweries are looking the same...bare, minimal look, open....snore. I was hoping for exceptional given the cost but got average and nothing special. Won't be our new favorite for sure. Would only return if was meeting someone already there or something. We definitely have multiple options for this type of "typical, can find anywhere" ambiance and have other favorites that easily out perform this one.

J Riley's was a great experience for me and my boyfriend. We didn't know what to expect because we came on St. Patrick's Day, but we were sat immediately (at 6pm!) Although it was noisy with the live music, the ambience was very friendly and welcoming. The drinks were great! Our only concern was that they didn't have a huge selection of beer, but we assumed that had to do with the holiday. We each ordered two drinks and then shared 2 appetizers. The giant pretzel and lobster Mac were both delicious. The reason why we decided on 4 stars instead of 5 was because it was a bit pricy in our opinion, and they didn't have too many beer options. The price was not unreasonable, but on the higher end of what we were expecting. Overall our experience was great, if you're looking for a place similar to a BJs but locally owned and a more lively crowd, this is definitely the spot to go!

I really like this place. The food is good and the drinks are great. I also really really like their brunch. They have lots of options. Vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian. Dogs are allowed on the patio!! That's my favorite part. They also have really fun nights like piano nights and girls night out.

Awesome experience! Had a late night drink after work with a buddy. Had an old fashioned, or two, and it tastes great. Our server, Luke, was attentive and helpful. Nice vibe, great location..

I recently had my first visit to J Riley Distillery on the occasion of a retirement party for one of my favorite co-workers. I was surprised that I'd never even known about this, let alone beet there! There were SO many things to love about it. I will admit that there was ONE thing I didn't love and that was that it was quite loud in there and we had a large group and speeches were taking place. There were a few others in there that were not part of our group, but we far outnumbered them, but they kept the music up even when we asked to lower it during speeches. Otherwise, though, I loved it. I had a wedge salad that was DELICIOUS. I love me a wedge, its that simple and I had a cocktail (or two) that were quite the Tasty Beverages (tm) Pretty sure my choice was the Woodsman. I like a whiskey drink with herbacious flavors, and it was so good I had a second. The distillery makes different spirits: different types of whiskies, rum, vodka and gin... not sure what else, but there is quite a selection and of course, there is beer. So its definitely a great place to have a drink. Pricing was average for this style of restaurant/bars and I loved that they let everyone order and pay separately. That is SO helpful. Staff was friendly and fast and overall, it was a really great location to have a party. Definitely recommend J Riley!

Drinks are great, menu is tired. Needs a good steak, fresh fish, and pasta other than mac 'n cheese.

Came into town to visit some family and whole across the street at Starbucks I noticed this place. We went in for lunch and sat at the bar. The bartender greeted us and ordered a couple of drinks. The drinks are great! I wish I could have tried more. My fiance ordered the coffee old fashion, I never heard of anyone making a coffee old fashion and it was very good. We shared the quesadilla which was on the lunch menu. It was a small portion perfect for lunch. The pretzel with beer cheese was yummy. I wish we lived closer cause I would be here all the time.

The food here is better than most other places in Redlands. This is the third time I've been here. It's Super Bowl 2024 and the place is NOT overcrowded. It's perfect! The service is attentive and personal. The food has always been on point too. The lobster Mac and cheese is in my top two!! The sweet potato fries were like dessert. I would've taken photos but we dug in. I would recommend this place to anyone thinking about it. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Best cocktails in Redlands -- I'll defend that statement any day of the week. We often do family date night with our daughter here .. she's even been challenged by the owner to find all the words on the word search and he gave her a free dessert (not just a scoop of ice cream) her eyes lit up when she got a root beer float .. we go back not only for the great food but it's the customer service you receive from EVERYONE there!
