I've been coming to Surfer Joe's since I was a kid, but once I became an adult and their new location is in the same city as my office, I get to enjoy their food for lunch much more often. Their Submarine Sandwich is by far my favorite item on the menu. The bread totally different from most sandwich breads which makes it SO GOOD! If you haven't had a chance to come here for lunch or dinner, you need to make room for their delicious food. Plus the service is great as well. Hard to beat Surfer Joe's when you want a quick but delicious lunch. I highly recommend.

I used to live out in the IE and circa 2001-ish, I used to go here several times a week. Now I live in LA and I try to go to Surfer Joe's anytime we're in the area which is very rare. It's still one of the best sandwiches that I've ever had. My goto's are the Veggie and the Submarine. Just fantastic and the pizza is wonderful as well.

Sandwiches are good, I haven't tried pizza since I don't have time to sit down long enough for lunch. 3 people ordered and my order took 25 minutes to get. The owner or cashier, whatever he may be does not help his only worker making sandwiches. If you have time to spare for lunch walk in, if not, I encourage you to call

Never again. There is no chance it takes 50 minutes to make one sandwich. I walked in at 12. Ordered, all was good.The older gentleman behind the counter then came out to confirm my order twice after 30 minutes. Was told 5 more minutes.Then people who placed larger orders after me got theirs first. It's been 50 minutes. I still don't have a sandwich and all I was offered was my money back. Not even with the sandwich. Straight money back. I'm already invested in this 1 hour. I may as well wait for the sandwich but I will never be coming back here again. Avoid this place if you can

I stopped by today for the original veggie sandwich, it was amazing! I used to love this sandwich when they were in the old location, but no longer live near and I was in the area today. I love the cashews in it, actually everything in it was delicious, but the bread is out of this world! It tastes fresh baked, crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Better than I remembered.
Used to be a fav, haven't been here in a long time. First time at new location. Used to the old Redlands Blvd locale. Have to say not what I recall. Ordered meatball sandwich, to be told no meatballs. Ordered a different sandwich with a fountain drink, fountain drink machine inoperable. Ordered bottled drink instead, limited selection. Sandwiches much smaller than I remember and only one size. Sandwiches were good but probably not a repeat visit for me.

The absolute best sandwiches on earth.Surfer Joes - means sooo much to so many of us in the IE. SJ was a staple on Redlands Blvd forever (Past Employee Circa 95'). Now on Lugonia in a quant quiet relaxing environment & amazing service- every single time.

Stop by for a sandwich in between visits at the local VA. Great food and service. We shared the turkey bacon avocado and 'submarine'. Both excellent. Great bread! Friendly staff ?
