Ordered thru Postmates. Despite the price markup on the food, the service fee charged, and the plea in special instructions, this restaurant refuses to provide utensils to eat the food with.

Lisa always has a smile and passion for chocolatiering. I love buying her different varieties of caramel apples!

I travel in from Culver City to eat here on weekends. The Farmers Market Toast and a latte are my favorite breakfast. They load the toast with a thin spread of garlic mayo topped with smashed avocado, and roasted veggies . . .its a perfect start to the day. The latte is also sublime, better than that big over-inflated chain. I often sit at one of the tables out front. Aside from cars cruising past on Phelan, it's peaceful. There is a park around the corner of the cafe and you can hear distant sounds of play but its so gentle it just feels like those sounds should be there. All the staff are kind, generous, helpful, knowledgable and very sweet to put up with my unvarying order each weekend. It's a very small place, but absolutely the best neighborhood cafe I've had the pleasure to discover!!

I love this place!! It’s in the middle of my neighborhood, very convenient. The food and service is great. If you’re in the neighborhood, I recommend you give it a try!!

I actually really like how small and uniquely shaped the shop is, in comparison to previous reviews. It's cozy. Reminds me of places in Japan. A nice shop in the North Redondo neighborhood and it is great for parents that a park is immediately nearby. The Green Bullet was a decent drink.

We keep coming to this place to support the local businesses but it looks like they don’t care about customers experience. For simple egg toast every time we need to stay 20 min and their staff are not well trained and keep either mix the order and this time they told us they are going to bring the toast outside and after 20 min going inside and see they forgot it and the toast was inside with the only had one customer. So even want to support the local businesses and not coming back.

Excellent toast and coffee in a local spot. It's always a pleasure to support a local business, especially when they're a darn fine business at that!

I was so delighted so stumble upon this hidden gem. The owner was so friendly and I loved hearing her story. The salad I got was hearty and simple, and the outdoor seating is very nice. I love that they have chocolates from the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory if you're in the mood for a sweet treat. I will definitely come back.

I did a quick search for a local coffee shop this morning. I'm so grateful to have stumbled upon this cafe. It's so quaint and well taken care of. The lady who helped me was so friendly and sweet with me and my toddler. The egg salad toast actually blew my mind. The sourdough- omg. The Parmesan cheese on top gave it such a delicious salty added flavor. Heaven.

I stopped in right when they opened at 8am this morning for a to-go order. I ordered the breakfast toast (not realizing there wasn't avocado on this toast, that was my mistake). BUT- I had half of an avocado at home that I added. And I changed the hard boiled egg for a fried egg. It was SOO good! The toast was perfectly crisp and flavorful. The sweet owner was so friendly and made my whole experience at Beach Cities Cafe a great one! I will absolutely be back.

Overpriced and bad customer service. We ordered a frozen green bullet drink and a dirty chia. It took them about 15 minutes to make (to the point we were wondering if they forgot) and the totally was almost 14$. While we were in the store waiting a woman walked in asking why a bunch of customers were getting their drinks while she'd been waiting for 20 minutes already and the women working (seemed to be the owner or manager) responded with "I just started working on the orders, so I don't know what you want me to do about it". They definitely seemed to be making orders as they came in and forgetting about the backlog. Overall would not recommend and won't be back.

My daughter-in-law and I made this discovery a few days ago and have been back every day since! Owner, Lisa, has really put the love into her food preps that are healthy and delicious. It's a charming spot to grab a great bite and even one of their homemade candy apples. Bianca, who's in the front of the house is also a great addition to real homie service. You'll feel you made new friends there, who invited you in for lunch. We'll be back.Thank you, Lisa and Bianca,Karen Hope Moss
