First visit to the establishment. Nice atmosphere, good view of the water and great claim chowder. My partner ordered the Sautéed Sanddabs, modified for gluten free with rice instead of potatoes. There was a light seasing but not enough, we assume all the flavors are in the flour they typically coat the fish with. Seemed to be a meater version of a tilapiaI had the Tuscan Artichoke Rockfish (Snapper), CA. There was a coating of panko bread crumbs but no detectable tomato pesto. Someone missed the memo as the description of the dish only mentions the tomato pasto. So a bit bland. Artichoke hearts came coated in bread crumbs as well, not to bad. Risotto was nothing to write home about, small serving and no seasoning. The dish did not go together well at all. I expected so much more based on the price.

This place is cute & good! Giving 5 stars not necessarily bc it’s a 5 star restaurant but my experience no real complaints some things were better than others.Arnold Palmer kinda bland but refreshingOysters were huge and fresh!Cioppino was good!Sourdough bread was good prefer less toasty. But good!Lobster appetizer so goood and pretty!Steamed shellfish not my vibe. Too bland.Sushi rolls were good too! Fun and decorative.

We tried Bluewater grill for lunch after landing in Long Beach and waiting for our place to be ready. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess who seated us quickly. Our waitress was also very friendly and tried very hard, but honestly I think there were just too many tables for her to have all by herself. I ordered one of their sushi rolls which was delicious. It had yellowtail with crunchy carrots and jalapeño and was very good. The issue is that it took forever for the food to come out. My sushi roll took a long time to come out and then our entrees took even longer. My husband doesn't eat sushi so he waited well over 40 minutes before our entrees came. The waitress was very apologetic and even one of the managers who came to ask us how everything was went to check with the kitchen to see why it was taking so long for our food to arrive. They told us that the sushi was a relatively new item and that the timing was off and that they were told to wait 12 minutes after the appetizer to tell the kitchen to fire entrees. I have worked in restaurants before so understand the protocol, but this was way beyond a normal wait for entrees. The table behind us - which had regulars, asked for more bread, and by the time it arrived they sent it away saying that it too late. We also noticed that guests that were seated after us got their food before we did so the timing was definitely off.The food was prepared well and tasted good - fish tacos and filet. I noticed that the waitress was taking care of numerous tables both inside and outside and with only 1 food runner who only brought food out to some tables, but not others. It could have just been the fact that it was a Friday lunch shift but the experience definitely put a damper on our meal.

3x5 stars! Fish was cooked to perfection! We were practically in the Marina! Nautically themed - lots of large photos of fishing. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly. What a nice place!Parking: No problem parking - there was also a County parking lot. Plenty of handicapped spaces. $5 parking fee at times i

I had NE clam chowder and it was fantastic!!! Also has the clam and muscle appetizer. The clans were good but the muscles were gritty... almost every one. I have muscles a lot and don't experience that very often. I was a bit disappointed in the meal. I didn't like the coleslaw at all. I had the fisherman's platter with shrimp, scallops and white fish. I wasn't expecting it all to be breaded and deep fried. I probably should have read the menu closer. We had a party of 2.
