Easily one of the best experiences in a long time. We live in the area and have wanted to try this place for a long time. Josh as a host was incredible from the moment we walked in the door. He was so friendly and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. Ricardo was our server and we found he had been there fore 23 years. He was so nice and kind. The food is incredible. We had the shrimp cocktail to start, which was great. Then we ordered the famous burger and the prime rib. Both were amazing. We also had the bread pudding for dessert. Everything was so great, and all of the other tables were filled with what felt like regulars. Don't let the outside turn you off. Once you enter, you'll be treated to a great evening.

This is one of those neighborhood old school joints with decent food that is clearly a local favorite. Its packed on weekend nights with a crowded bar of middle-aged (being generous with that age assessment...it trends older) because the are local muscians playing the hits of the 70's and 80's for the sea of margaritaville loyalists to sway to. Getting a booth, you are treated to large portions of reasonable red leather booth style food (It's no Smokehouse but what is?) and enough people watching to satisfy any first or last date.

10 times out of 10 - It has to be THE BULL PEN! This place is so special.. every time we frequent this place, it just keeps getting better. They don't make them like this place anymore, and by that I mean the incredible food, one of a kind service, and where locals go to relax, dine together and unplug. Be sure to make a reservation, because the neighborhood has long since known how amazing this place is and we all keep going back!

Good service, good food,definitely thought this was something else before going there (though from the location and looks from driving by it was a dive bar but it isn't). It has a older feeling and from what I've seen, the crowd is on the older side)

I've usually enjoyed this Old School joint, but had a disappointing experience recently.I brought a group here last week for dinner, and everything was fine. Had a great time chatting with my friends, as well as other customers.But…went in solo on the following Sunday evening, which wasn't busy. Sat at the end of the 20-foot bar, with no one in the adjacent seats, and waited...and waited...and waited.I was in full view, and have never had any issue with the bar staff, but they were oblivious. One bartender was having drinks himself with other customers, but no visit to my end of the bar.Very odd.I waited roughly 8 minutes, then left. Of course it's not a big deal, but it shows how important customer service is. Next time I'm organizing a group for dinner, I'll naturally hesitate to bring them here. There are simply too many solid alternatives.

I was in full view, and have never had any issue with the bar staff, but they were oblivious. One bartender was having drinks himself with other customers, but no visit to my end of the bar. Very odd. I waited roughly 8 minutes, then left. Of course it's not a big deal, but it shows how important customer service is. Next time I'm organizing a group for dinner, I'll naturally hesitate to bring them here. There are simply too many solid alternatives.
So I went to the Bull Pen last night for dinner and it was an experience like no other. Went on a father/daughter date and my date for the evening wanted steak. I couldn't think of a better place. We went a little earlier (around 8) and I must say the place was jumpin! We had the live band setting up, patrons enjoying the bar, friends and family enjoying dinner. We had to get a Shirley temple and some onion rings which were so amazing! Then the star of the show, a New York strip that I couldn't replicate even if I tried. The quality of the meat and perfect cool red center makes any experience memorable. Not to mention the staff was so friendly and accommodating to the younger crowd, made my daughter feel welcome and comfortable throughout our whole dinner. If I could give more than 5 stars I would, the Bull Pen hands down deserves it. My daughter only had one concern at the end of the night and that was how soon can we go have dinner there again! Thank you Bull Pen for always providing perfect service and an experience my daughter and I can remember forever!

The bullpen was highly recommended to me by my brother and finally got the chance to try it out and they did not disappoint! We had some drinks. I had the burger and onions rings and my husband had the prime rib, all was sooo delicious! The staff were so friendly ! Definitely will be back !!

I was currently suggested the bull pen by a friend of mine as somewhere to dine when looking for a good steak. So I thought why not give it a try. I came in Friday night to have dinner with some friends. On our way in a friendly security guard had greeted us and held the door open like a gentleman for us. And then I was greeted kindly by a young gentleman at the host stand. There was a wait for a table but that's okay, as expected on a weekend night. He kindly suggested to hang at the bar until our table was ready. The bartenders were very helpful when suggesting drinks for my friends and I. They were very attentive and had a lot of personality. The ambience alone in the restaurant was nice to be in and so distracted we forgot we were waiting for a table. Once sat down for dinner we ordered appetizers (shrimp cocktail and sautéed mushrooms) and for dinner we ordered the prime rib, one of the specials of the month (the braised short rib) and the filet. Cooked to perfection and the service was amazing. Attentive wait staff who approached the table with a smile and a well rounded knowledge of the menu. Needless to say we left full and happy. This is a great restaurant that I will be happy to return to, as well as suggest to friends and family.

My date and I were here last Friday night and found the hospitality, food and drinks were amazing! Once seated, everyone kept checking on us regularly. Prices are very reasonable, and the ambiance so comfortable! I would definitely recommend it. The steaks are incredible!! Wish I lived closer to it.
