We went there for a birthday party. We were a large party so it is expected that the service be a little slow. The restaurant was accommodating and provided us with two waiters. They were very nice, but overwhelmed. Alcohol drinks came quickly, but sodas and water were slow. The appetizers came quickly and we're excellent (they have the best kimchee calamari). The meal came slowly, and a bit piece mail, as some got served while others waited for a while. My soup was completely forgotten, but after mentioning it had not arrived (after everyone else had completed theirs) it came out. Again, with a large group some errors are expected. The food here is always good. Portion size is ok. Some dishes were generous some a bit stingy (for the same place of food, hate it when that happens). One sea bass was large, one about half the size, but the same price none the less. I know, ordering steaks at a sea food place is not the wisest thing, but my NY strip was good, well cooked (medium well), juicy although not that tender. My wife's filet was medium (although she ordered med-well). She sent it back, and the parts she cut were recooked med-well, but the part she did not cut was still medium. Most chefs have a problem with med-well, and cooking a thick filet to past medium seems to be a sin to them.Overall this is a good place, pricey, but the view of the ocean, the atmosphere, service, and food quality (for the most part) is very good. For a special occasion and occasionally this is a good place for fancy dining.Parking: They have a small parking lot, valet only (8$). There is random metered and free street parking about a block away.Wheelchair accessibility: They have ramps and a lift.

Food was amazing. It felt like the waiter was a little pushy in terms of buying alcohol and more expensive menu items.

Chart House, perched on the sandy shores of Redondo Beach, epitomizes seaside elegance. With panoramic ocean vistas as a backdrop, every dish is a culinary masterpiece. From succulent seafood delicacies to impeccable service, it's an indulgent escape where gastronomy meets the soothing rhythm of the waves, a quintessential coastal dining experience.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience which was maybe because it was a busy Friday evening. We made a reservation for a set time, but it was not clear on the website what their policy was for seating. It didn't really matter that we had made a reservation, we had to wait in line for other diners who had arrived before us to be seated, regardless of the time of anyone's reservations. there are only a few tables by the window to see the ocean and sunset and those diners from earlier in the evening were in no hurry to leave so anyone arriving hoping for a window seat for sunset were always going to be disappointed, as we were. As it was busy, the service was rushed and a bit frenetic and we were overcharged for drinks which I had to get corrected 3 times. We inadvertently ordered an item which was 'Market Price' but that wasn't checked with us at time of ordering and we weren't informed what that price was. The server was rushed off his feet and there was no time for even basic questions or conversation. We also had to ask for utensils to crack crab legs as none were brought with the dish. I'm sure it's better at a less busy time but for us, it was disappointing.

Wonderful food. Excellent view of the ocean & sunset. They brought back the salad bar ( now called Farmer’s bar ). Ice cream lava cake is delicious.

I will never eat here again. In the last 2 times of going here my party had a reservation. Both times it took an additional 20 minutes to be sat down. After that it was another 20 min to be checked on another 10 to get water. A full 50 min post our reservation and we get our cold clam chowder. 4 prices of bread (for a part of 5). The prime rib was so cold 2 of our party decided to send it back (they got it returned completely overcooked) overall the dinner took over 2 hours and the food was beyond subpar. This happened both times I've been here. Never again.

The Chart House has been reliably wonderful for years. Tide is high, so the waves are fun to watch. Service, food, atmosphere - all wonderful. (The valet parking is new and a bit confusing). All in all from the host to the desserts - we had a wonderful time...again!

I ordered Prime Rib and asked for an end cut which I received well done so I asked for another piece and said that it did not have to be an end cut (if that was not possible as an end cut). I received another end cut and it was a bit better. My friend and I ordered soda water and our server laughed at us. It was very odd. I asked him if I said something funny but he didn't answer. The valet at the Chart House is always bad so I always park elsewhere. The ambience there though is always great!

Terrible food, waiter was very nice, hostess was also very nice, beautiful view, but service was not great. Hard to ruin King Crab legs, but they were NOT good, especially for $90.00, Costco would have been a better option. Coconut shrimp was dry. Kids had Mac n cheese, that was good. Place was packed so some must think it's good. We won't be back.

My husband took me here last night for a date and the place is very pretty. We got to sit in the corner next to the window and see the ocean view which was great. The food was as well but I woke up this morning with food poisoning. My husband enjoyed his meal, and honestly I did too but I ended up being sick less than 12 hours later. The service was great. Maybe I just got a bad steak /:

We had great food and service! One of our party used a wheelchair and the staff couldn't have been any nicer in helping us have a memorable evening! Thank you Chart House Redondo!!
