My partner and I were craving pseudo-healthy asian food and hadn't had hot pot in forever, so we checked this place out for the first time. It was great and will definitely be in our regular rotation going forward! We came later on a Monday, so the restaurant was relatively quiet and the service was attentive. The restaurant is relatively small with three "sections"--a lower bar (almost sushi bar style), a hightop bar, and then a back table for larger parties. The restaurant has a dedicated parking lot as well as ample street parking. We sat in the hightop bar. My only small complaint for the design is that the hot pots were relatively far away from the seating, so if you're short/short-armed it's a bit of a reach and I found myself standing up to grab my food from time to time. We ordered garlic edamame (would skip next time), seaweed salad, and we both got regular portions of the lean cut + an additional 6 oz portion that we split for soup leftovers. There are several great options for broth, the meat was great, veggies were fresh, and overall it really hit the spot! I did ask for soup base at the end of the meal (which I don't know it if would have been offered it I didn't ask), which was super delicious with the spicy broth I chose. The price was fair for the amount of food, but I do wish they offered smaller "add ons." All in all, solid meal and looking forward to coming back and trying different broths and meats.

This was a great place to take a family. The service is fast and friendly, and the food is fresh and high quality. The make your own Ramen experience is entertaining, fun, and kind of rewarding to prepare your own food from a host of fresh ingredients. There are a multitude of broth options for the Ramen, and many ways to customize. I don't know if this brand is outside of California, but I would like to come back here soon.

The meat is tasty, the broths are flavorful without being too salty, service is fast and friendly and the ambience is fun, casual. You get some pretty nice views too.

My first time here! Awesome experience I wouldn't think I would like this, but I ended up loving it! And the meat was so good and the peanut sauce!!!!! And the customer service was the best Ms. Nicole was very nice and the food came fast and the macaron ice cream sandwich was the best! I am coming here again tomorrow for sure!

Pretty good shabu spot in South Bay area. I like to order the spicy tonkatsu broth which is a vegetarian base. They do charge $1 extra to make it spicy. The spice level has a nice kick but is not too overwhelming. The quality of the signature cut is very good for the price compared to the other cuts. It seems tho that they increased their prices quite significantly. The portion was quite small especially for the price. Each order comes with a bowl of veggies which has a nice assortment of greens and other sides. The ponzu and sesame sauce is quite tasty as well. Make sure to ask for the condiments if it's not on the table already. I like to put radish, garlic, green onion, and chili oil in my sauces. There is mostly bar seating and maybe a few tables in the back which I don't mind but might not be the best for larger parties.

Our favorite shabu shabu place in the South Bay. We come here twice per week and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Their kimchi soup base and signature cut beef are delicious.

Been craving hot pot... I normally go to Haidilao in Santa Monica, but decided to try something new. FLAVOR (3/5):1. GYOZA: Yum!2. FRIED OYSTER: This was a test to see if I actually don't like fried oysters or if it was just the restaurants I've been to. My friends liked this, so final verdict is I just don't like fried oysters!3. BROTH (Tonkotsu w/ added spice, ribeye prime, and prime short rib): The broth didn't really taste like tonkotsu to me. It tasted more like pure spice. Most of the flavor came from the sauces (they have you grind your own sesame to make a sauce). I combined the soy and peanut sauce and added some chili oil. SERVICE (4/5):Service was good. You can't control your own heat levels which is a bummer. AMBIENCE (3.5/5):Casual bar seating with some limited table seating. Good for a casual night out. PARKING (4/5):They have limited parking in the back.TAKEAWAYS:Haidilao is still my go-to for hot pot in terms of flavor and options for sides/sauces. I'm not sure I'd come back.

Will never go to this restaurant again. Signs and online says open until 9pm. My wife and I walked in at 8:32pm and a woman behind the counter said that they were closed. Last seating was at 8:30pm. Very few people in the restaurant by the way. We were clearly unhappy with the way we were greeted but did not argue we just left and got back in our vehicle to leave. As we were leaving we stopped and watched another couple park, walk in and get seated at the bar. I put the car in park and walked back in to ask them why we were told that they were closed and a couple after us were welcomed and served. Maybe it had to do with skin color as there was a clear difference in the two couples. Not sure, but just saying. Anyway, we won’t be going back to this place. Maybe they should change their closing time to 8:30pm or seat people until 9pm. Very disappointing.

My go to shabu place! I randomly found this place on Yelp and I'm so glad I did. Whenever I'm feeling shabu, I'll head to iShabu Shabu! Love the Tonkotsu broth with half toro and half pork. Veggies are fresh and comes with udon noodles. Ask for spicy hot drops and add it to your sauces. It gives it that kick of heat that compliments the meat so well! Soup kind of dissolved quickly in the pot but the service is great, they'll refill your broth. Definitely recommend!

Exec summary : I was pleasantly surprised how nice this place was 1- parkingFree lot behind the restaurant or plenty of street parking 2- foodThey have you crush fresh sesame to side in the dip. I've never even seen that in Japan. Pretty neat feature Plenty of choices of types of meat. Do not bother getting the large serving of meat. The difference in amount is t worth the price up Don't forget to save the noodles for last. In Japan, the being you a bowl with a small amount of fish sauce in it which you supplement with the broth from the shabu bowl. Here you just get noodles and the bowl 3- ambianceInteresting layout. The hot pots are over electric conduction heaters. The only problem is that it's a pretty long reach. The pots themselves are like nothing I've seen before. I thought they were steamers. Strange conical protrusion OverallBit of a strange location and layout. Not a lot of space for folks waiting for their seats. But some of the best shabu in the South Bay and my new "go to"

Came here on a Thursday and got seated quickly within an hour before closing. There was construction so it was a bit hard to find. Favorite broth was the tonkotsu. Was surprised it was vegetarian but creamy. The meats were also good with generous portions. Really friendly service.
