Really enjoyed my meal here this week. I got the Kick ramen spicy version which had some nice spice but wasn’t crazy spicy or anything like that. Friendly service and very clean restaurant.

Unusual in that you order your ramen with toppings at the counter and they bring it to you. The presentation was probably the prettiest and it was delicious ramen. I dont know if it was a one-off but my noodles were clumpy in some parts. Not bad enough to ask for a new bowl. Overall, very good. The place is clean, casual and pretty good for groups, so you don't have to split a huge bill. I parked in the structure next door and walked over. Would come here again!

This place is more like a fast food shop. The ramen was alright, but I think the atmosphere needs some improvement for them to charge so much for the ramen...

Good size bowl of Ramen, beer on tap, Japanese sodas that the kids seem to like = solid addition to our family spots.Kotsu was good. Large portions. Nice thick cut of fatty pork. Next time I'd go spicy.

This place is great! It has quick great service! And the portions are huge! It's also not a loud restaurant which makes it a great place to relax & chat with friends! Super cozy! 10/10

This was my first time eating here and LOVED IT!!! I got the Kotsu Curry w/Pork Chashu. The curry flavor did not over power the Katsu and had a slight mild spice to it. However, halfway thru eating it, I had a light sprinkle of sweat on my forehead ?. I don't know what spice or seasoning was on the egg but maaaaaan was that tasty & flavorful. That was no regular egg and would suggest ordering extra!! The atmosphere was really nice, clean, and contemporary but with a touch of mom&pop. Service was friendly with a genuine smile.

Kotsu Ramen & Gyoza, a ramen chain with a modern interpretation of Fukuoka's Hakata Style, aims to transport diners back to the nostalgic ramen shops of the birthplace of this classic style. Finding the Redondo Beach store can be a bit of an adventure, especially if you're coming from the east on PCH. The underground parking entry before the store sign can be easily overlooked. There are a few free street parking spots right in front of the store, but if you missed both, you might find yourself navigating an unwanted U-turn adventure. My only regret was not ordering the Tonkotsu OG, opting instead for the spicier Kick; its spiciness seemed to overshadow the 12-hour pork bone broth they proudly advertise. The broth is creamy but not particularly rich. The craft noodles were starchy and satisfyingly firm, ensuring that the soup clung to every strand. The soft-boiled egg, though flavorful, arrived on the chilly side. It featured a jammy yolk that promised much but left a little to be desired in execution. The thick piece of chashu, while tender and grilled nicely (like Silverlake), leaned a bit too porky. A more robust marination could enhance its flavor profile. The side order, Chicken Karaage, was well-fried and tender inside, but the curry powder lacked the punch to make the dish truly stand out.Overall, my experience at Kotsu Ramen & Gyoza was far from bad. It's a place where, in my opinion, making the right selections is key. I hope to return and explore the menu more thoroughly on my next visit.

Best Ramen place in town. I've never tried the pork broth and I've heard it's greasy, but the vegetable broth and chicken broth are delicious! Each broth has different styles and different spice levels. I highly recommend this place. Also the Gyoza here is amazing.Good serving sizes too and I absolutely love that it plays either Pokemon or Series of Unfortunate Events on the TV.This place is a little hidden, but is worth the search.Vegetarian rd of menu is vegetarian (ofc u can change tofu to other meat). I'm not sure if there is vegan gyoza, but ramen for sure. Lots of vegetables added too (especially a fan of the fried brussel sprouts)

This afternoon I decided to give Kotsu Ramen & Gyoza a try, and I must say it was an excellent choice! I ordered the "Kotsu Kick" to go, and I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality and taste. The first thing that struck me was the rich and spicy Kotsu pork broth. It had just the right amount of heat and depth of flavor, making every spoonful a delight for my taste buds. The Hakata noodles were perfectly cooked, offering a satisfying chewiness that complemented the broth beautifully. The toppings in the bowl were fantastic. The half ramen egg was cooked to perfection, with a creamy yolk that added richness to the dish. The pork chashu was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the green onion added a refreshing touch. The Kikurage mushrooms provided a nice earthy element, while the spicy pork saboro gave an extra kick of heat. The black garlic oil and sesame added a wonderful aromatic touch that elevated the overall taste. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was impressive even for a to-go order. The packaging was sturdy and leak-proof, ensuring that all the components arrived intact and fresh. The staff at Kotsu Ramen & Gyoza were friendly and efficient, providing excellent customer service. The wait time for my order was reasonable, and they made sure I had everything I needed before leaving.Overall, Kotsu Ramen & Gyoza exceeded my expectations in every way. The flavors were outstanding, the ingredients were fresh, and the attention to detail was evident. I highly recommend trying the "Kotsu Kick" or any other dish on their menu. Whether you dine in or take out, you're in for a treat at this fantastic ramen spot.
