Been eating from here for a few years every now and again. They used to be a solid 4 star spot before but food quality and quantity have declined while prices have gone up. The last few times I have taken out they have screwed up the order as well. Either missed ingredients altogether or just didn't get the order right and by the time I am home, it's too late to do anything about it. Still not bad for semi-healthy options but don't expect it to be great.

With a very very heavy heart I have give Malibu Eatery 2 stars I've been dining here on and off for the past 10 years popping by whenever I had a seafood craving. But in the past couple of years quality has really gone down hill. From the fish tasting frozen, to getting full on food poisoning I've come to the point where I no longer suggest this location to friends.

Food was ok....burger loaded up with all the trimmings was good but nothing to write home about ...the feta cheese fries were nicely seasoned sprinkled generously with feta cheese...my favorite...the fish taco was fresh with a crispy crunch in every bite ...great texture ..topped with a nice slaw...the poke bowl was swerved with chips ..high quality ahi tuna for the win...great location with back parking for easy access.

I am almost hesitant to share! Great clam chowder, crab cakes, and individual sized wine selection. Here's the thing, they have happy hour prices on their appetizers. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. And the prices are almost unbelievable. Great quality. Think you'll enjoy it. You can sit in, which I did. Airy and open feel. Give them a try. Nice staff too.

I have been a loyal Malibu customer for several years. Received an email indicating "BOGO". Called to place my order and the young lady said she did not know of a special and bring in the e-mail. Sure! Got there and it became one of life's embarrassing moments in front of my family (visiting mom). Yup - Downhill and it doesn't have to go but they don't care. Ron N.

Great food and specials, friendly staff and clean tables! Try the fish sandwich, you won't regret it!

I have been a fan of Malibu Fish Grill for a very long time. It was characterized by great food, affordable prices and a nice unpretentious setting. At some point it became "Malibu Eatery", a weird name that sounds more like a cafeteria for a hospital. Never liked it but still admired the place and its food and prices. The pandemia and work took its toll on all of us plus work demands making me stay away from this location for a while.Today I came back to my beloved Malibu Fish Grill aka Malibu Eatery. I was surprised, a salad cost me $23 dollars ! Just a salad and a glass of water. Wonder what it could had cost me had I ordered what I used to order just 2 years ago. The location does not look as well kept as it was back then, as well as service not being as friendly as it used to be. Perhaps this eatery is trying to become more upscale, charging higher prices for its products, but you can not go upscale scaling down from using silverware to using plastic forks and knives. At least show arguments for a higher price using real silverware as opposed to plastic cups and forks/knives. I love this place, and now I find myself in a dilema, but I feel it is my obligation to write these words of constructive criticism in order to call the attention of management as well as patrons, it is sad to see a great place fall like this.

Clean and organized.Quinoa Kale salad was really good with salmon.Shrimp tacos could use more than 3 tacos and some extra sauce. Fish tacos are much better.Bathroom is usually clean and stocked.Friendly and attentive staff.

Horrible hostess with a mask and zero personality will greet you behind the counter. There's only one cook so have plenty of patience. Captain Kidd's seafood restaurant one mile southwest has better service and food.

Really terrific. I just spent a week in San Francisco and this was better than anything I ate up there.

Web says open until 9. It's 10 to 8:00 and all the chairs are on the tables. I thought I would sit to eat my expensive dinner and have a nice meal.Where should I sit? Eat in your car in the parking lot dining is the option. Darn, I drove by so many places where I could sit inside.

Worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Terrible employees. Loaded my food with baja sauce, filled with dairy, when I specifically asked for no dairy in my wrap. I can live with mistakes, but then when it’s followed with an attitude its completely unprofessional. The young lady behind the counter at 3:30pm on Sunday 5/21/23 was atrocious. Never going back.
