These guys were closed down for a while because, you know, Covid. I'm glad that they're back. I always thought they were great for just two slices of pizza and a drink for something like 5 bucks if I was in a hurry, but lately I've been ordering a small pizza just for myself to go and I'm never dissatisfied with my order. I've gone every week for about a month straight at this point I don't think I've ever had to wait longer than 15 minutes or so for my pizza to be ready which is a huge plus as far as running in to pick it up myself goes. Back in the before times, I used to be a huge fan of their Philly. Not sure if anything about it is changed. I'll post an update when I find out. The one thing that I don't care for on the menu is there wings. Other than that, they've never let me down.

Explaining my experience further: I went in to pizza man about a month ago and got a couple large pizzas for my family. I asked for paper plates, cheese, pepper on the side and the cashier gave me attitude. I was shocked because all the previous times we would get food from here, everyone was always so kind and friendly. I decided to ask if the recipe was different since the pizza looked a lot differently and also to ask if the philly cheese steak would ever be back but once again I got attitude. My family and I have over 20+ years coming to this location for pizza + philly steak. The philly got removed from the menu a couple years back when they first closed down. As stated in my review, I loved that sandwich. UPDATE: the Owner decided to get my original review removed. Deleting honest reviews is a violation of the Consumer Rights Fairness Act (CRFA). No longer supporting this restaurant. I was not rude about my original review at all, just shared a personal experience of mine.. but mainly talking about how much I missed the philly steak sandwich. Owner went as far as messaging me privately and ATTACKING me. He stated I was "attacking his wife" and he would "take the recipe to the grave for the philly steak" and because of me he would NOT be adding the recipe back to the menu. My father and I have been coming to pizza man for over 20 years so this situation was really heartbreaking especially since the owner decided to message me in a belligerent manner rather than apologizing for my experience. Give the customers what the want instead of chasing away your loyal customers. What a bummer.

if i could vote a 0 i would! bring back the philly cheese steak! i was a loyal customer and one day out of the blue the employee was so rude to me! they could have just simply said they were no longer selling it. but the employee had to go beyond and start arguing with me

To all the people who went very low and rated so low with a pandemic going on, pitty on you. The first time i ordered the owner made special arrangements to deliver our food. Yes, things may not be available, but its a pandemic! These people not only have rent to pay, paying employees, paying food cost ect. they are struggling in this horrible pandemic to provide services to us. I support this business 100% as you all shall too.

Really good pizza! Made & served by wonderful people too! As a former managing partner of a highly rated restaurant that served outstanding gourmet pizza (and fine dining), and a pizza connoisseur, I'm very picky about my pizza. I've had much of the best from Italy, New York, and Socal, so I know what's good and Pizza Man absolutely is!I chose the thin crust and it was baked perfectly crispy (they also offer a thicker softer crust too). Plenty of absolutely delicious sauce, ample cheese, not quite enough toppings (so I would ding it 1/2 Star and round down to 4 Stars, however I rounded up because of the two great people I dealt with!), very fair prices. This was my first visit, and I believe I've now hit every pizzeria in the Beach Cities and nearly all in the South Bay. I will definitely be back to Pizza Man for the quality, and especially for the sincere & excellent customer service!

Twilight zone service here with the husband/wife owners. Not sure how they're able to operate any business, especially a pizza restaurant. The service, and the FOOD has completely changed here...I'll elaborate:1) BUSINESS OPERATIONS: They offer onion rings and chili cheese fries on their online menu, (used to love their fries). I was called from the owner's cell phone (not the restaurant number) and told they no longer offer onion rings-not surprised as I added them for $0 to my order (why I ordered online from the parking lot LOL)...moving on...I missed a second call from the random phone number and assumed our food was ready, so we headed back. Arrived to find out she "didn't make enough chili for the fries so we had to wait a couple minutes"...I marked online I would pay cash, then watched the money sit in the "cash tray" on the counter during this time while she awkwardly conversed with my friend and I...she then had us sign for paying cash for our pizza? and was literally confused by the sight of our money. She actually said "you ordered online so I just assumed you paid card"....and they're somehow operating this business open only 5 hours a day?2) FOOD: The woman was being instructed on how to cook fries when we initially placed our order so I made sure to inspect them before we left. I was then told that "this is how people like them", "everyone orders them like that", "that's how they sell them", "that's why we don't have them on the menu anymore" (but you do...?) and finally "it's because I don't like them myself, that's why". WHAT?!?! At the end of this list of excuses of why the fries weren't cooked, she finally offered a refund or to make them again, although you could tell she genuinely didn't want to...(she doesn't like fries of course!) I ended up with only pizza, which was cold, and mediocre at best.*Bonus-We caught the owner pulling in as we were leaving and told him he was right, she should have started the fries earlier. He then proceeded to tell us how they are a pizza place, and shouldn't be serving fries.....by the taste of their pizza, they shouldn't be serving that either!
This was terrible, I ordered 2 personal pizzas and it took 45 min to make. I understand that there's a pandemic, but what I didn't like was the fact that after I got the two pizzas they were tasteless. The pepperoni pizza was super greassy, and the sausage pizza barely had any sausages . I know it's a small business, but 2 small pizzas were like $16!I don't know if I would come back to this place.

We just discovered Pizza Man during COVID and man are we happy! It's delicious! This is our new go-to pizza place in the South Bay. The right amount of delicious cheese and tasty sauce, easy and efficient online ordering. I believe it's also local, family owned as well which is another huge plus. Definitely recommend!!
