Good value for fresh food! I will come back.Beef teriyaki: beef is over cooked and teriyaki sauce is sweet so next time I will request to put it aside.Pork katsu is yum. I like it.Salad and rolls are fresh.Uber eats (pick up) price is a little higher than their online menu price.

This place has gone downhill ever since the ownership was passed down from father to family members. The details that made this restaurant once great are slowly diminishing. It’s disappointing to see a place I would eat at 2-3 times a day lack the charm it once had.

My favorite quick Japanese takeout spot in LA. Large quantities of food with a lot of variety in items from teriyaki to katsu. Adding the 3rd item of a sushi roll can be a 2nd meal by itself!

Great value for great food! We ordered a 2 and 3 combo meal with 2 karaage, 2 rolls, and vegetable tempura and we had plenty of leftovers with just 2 ppl eating! I recommend their karaage, sesame chicken, and the Philly roll! The owners are very friendly and we thought the food was delicious! I used to go here as a kid, 20 years ago, so I’m glad to see Rice Things is still around <3

Good haunt for quick Japanese food. Good menu and selection. Been going here for nearly 20 years. They've changed owners but the new ones preserved the rice things I grew up with.Great boxes and chicken katsu. Be sure to try everything because it's all really good. I'll keep going back.Vegetarian options: They have a solid selection of veggie options on the menu which makes this place easy to call a favorite for families with different types of requirements.Parking: Small lot shared by other businesses. Go with a smaller car if possible. There is street parking around the business but it tends to fill up in the evenings.

Love this place. It's authentic and really genuine food. It's portions are generous. This is a southbay stable.

Rice things is a restaurant that I've grown up on ever since I was little. Since the restaurant is quite literally down the street to my house, this was always one of the options for take out. While you may think I may be biased, rice things definitely lives up to the hype. Their combos are really cheap with how much food they load in for you and their seasame chicken is a must have. Their menu has almost everything from sushi to udon and the majority of the items are very good for their acquired price point. I wish they were open later but they definitely don't need to be with how many customers they rack in! They are always busy and it definitely makes sense why. Give them a try if you seek cheap but good Asian food.

Decided on Japanese food for lunch and invited some friends. The menu combo is confusing. The place is a non conventional Japanese restaurant but rather a fast casual dining joint. We ordered Chicken Katsu, Teriyaki Chicken, Grilled Salmon, Ramen, Chicken salad. The Katsu seemed overcooked/dry and the Katsu sauce was in a packet. The teriyaki chicken was dry and the sauce was over the rice vs on the chicken. My friend enjoyed her salmon and ramen. My other friend enjoyed his chicken salad. Parking is limited due to a nail salon, liquor store, donut shop etc, sharing the parking as well. The decor could use some help as their supplies and restock is in open sight next to the dining area. The service was ok, but the young guys behind the counter could smile and be friendlier. Will I be back; not sure

I ordered from here on door dash at work a few times and it's really delicious! I've only ever ordered the poke bowls and they have large portions of rice but I wish they would a bit more of the fish. They gave a free miso soup with my order last time which I appreciated! Since I've only ever ordered from here on door dash, I can't say much about the service and ambiance of the restaurant. However, I am usually delivered my food in a timely manner.
