Food was decent, service was really slow. Went on a Saturday night, main dining area was packed and they put us in the banquet room upstairs. I'd prefer not to sit up there again. Way different vibe.

Normally take my mother or younger brother here regularly for birthdays and special occasions. Sometimes make appearances for drinks and apps at the bar. But wow... never had such a bad experience until tonight... service was extremely flat, unappealing, and honestly subpar. Cocktails and appetizers were solid, per usual. But waited 50+ minus for main entrees. Tagliatelle and broccolini side was insanely salty, lobster gnocchi came out underdone, fishy, and ice cold. Tour of beef was not made to asking temp (extremely overdone), but sea bass risotto was great. Really pains me to leave an unpleasant review, but Rex has definitely taken a step backward...

Great quaint spot in the Riviera for wonderful steak and ambience! Justin was a great server and provided a well relaxing meal! As an aside, if you have a hard time perusing menus, theirs will enlighten you - literally!

Had a wonderful reception dinner on the 3rd floor. The space is gorgeous. Taneel, Conor, and the rest of the team did an excellent job helping us plan and execute on a delicious dinner within our budget. We are very thankful for The Rex!

Parking is metered on the street. Also a parking lot that is available across the street. Check signage for parking. Nice ambiance. Interior is well decorated. The service was amazing. Francisco was our waiter. The best waiter. Very friendly and attentive. Ordered the bread, champagne, Caesar's salad, tagliatelle for starters. All were absolutely delightful. The tagliatelle had duck ragu in it. So tasty and not gamey at all. The best dish. The bread was also delicious. Soft and crispy at the same time. Got the ribeye, filet mignon, and gnocchi. With roasted potatoes, mushrooms and the hoppin john risotto as sides. Ribeye and filet were both cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. The gnocchi had lobster in it. Also very very tasty. All the sides complimented the main dishes. Then had a spiced rum with pear liqueur to end the night. Very nice and not overpowering. Thank you Fransisco for making it a memorable night. Will definitely come back and recommend to others.

Overall a great experience at The Rex. Found decent parking, which can be difficult in that area of Redondo Beach. They had our reserved table ready and we were sat near the bar. Very cool to watch the wide variety of cocktails flying out of there. Espresso Martinis were popular that nite. Kyle, probably one of the managers greeted us first as our server was busy with 2 large groups. He was excellent and recommended some delicious drinks. Bee Stinger is a must try. Mescal gives that killer Smokey taste. Wifey and I shared the Wedge salad; so crisp and loaded with pork belly pieces. Amazing. Our server, Francisco helped us decide on our main and sides. We opted for the ribeye with crazy good honey carrots and mornay Mac & cheese as sides. Steak was sliced and served a perfect medium cook. Can't forget the wonderful sauce it comes with on the side. Then to top off the nite, Francisco and Kyle gave us a scoop of ice cream dessert in honor of our wedding anniversary. Incredible evening. Wifey was very impressed and wants to go back when the weather gets warmer to party on the 2nd floor. Thanks to The Rex team for a great 16th wedding anniversary dinner.

Love love this steakhouse. Best in the Southbay, possibly LA! Always have a great time here with the cool waiters and amazing steak and cocktails. Ya im talkin bout u Kyle and Justin! Will def be back soon!

This place is great. I have been here several times for happy hour, a burger at the bar and full dinners. Prices are in-line with other restaurants with similar menus and the aesthetic is great. I have yet to be disappointed by this place. If you're looking for a cheap dinner this isn't the place but if you're looking for a great meal with a nice wine and cocktail list I don't see how you go wrong here.

Truly one of the best meals of my life and I have dined all over the world. We were celebrating my nephew's birthday and the service was attentive and outstanding. Where on earth do they get the incredible bread!!! (and I am not usually a bread eater)

Excellent for events. The third floor is amazing for any small group. We had a multi course meal with cake and a slideshow that had to be set up. The staff at The Rex did well in hitting everything perfectly and being attentive and on time with our group. The food was delicious. They made our reception dinner memorable and I'm forever grateful for that.

Loved everything about this high-end neighborhood restaurant. The food was amazing- perfectly cooked and seasoned. Lightly creative, which allowed us to enjoy enhanced staple foods. Our server was attentive, the ambience was warm and cozy and the owner was a delight to speak with. Look forward to returning in the near future.
