What a wonderful place to have dinner! The ambience is really special with a warm and welcoming vibe. Especially nice is the open kitchen with a view of the hearth - where all the smoked dishes are made - and the nautical theme throughout the restaurant, including the special jelly fish tank. The view did not disappoint. From our table, we had the perfect view of the "Hurrica" the original boat from the Great Gatsby movie as well as the harbor. Will look forward to eating outside when the weather is warmer. The food was incredible, each dish bursting with different flavors. The Executive Chef here was the Executive Chef at Epic Steak in the City. We had the dorado with Kim Chee rice (perfectly spicy), the filet mignon (so tender), the roasted potatoes with horseradish sauce (an unusual but great combo), chopped salad, and a beautiful assortment of delectable desserts (the pistachio mousse was amazing!). All of the entrees and side dishes were great. My favorite was the lobster ravioli. The owner Mee Sun came by to greet us and made us feel so at home. The waitstaff was attentive and delivered great service all the while tending to the other guests on a crowded Tuesday night. Overall, we loved the restaurant and look forward to returning soon!

What a surprise! Way out at the end, past the Port of Redwood City. Beautiful space, featuring a gigantic jellyfish tank. Sat at the Bar, but they serve the whole dinner menu. Live scallops, insane! Chowder is top notch, and the onion rings, contender for best ever. Excited to go back and try some of the mains, this time we just. Did the small plates.

Best lobster I've ever had and the scallops and milk bread are not to be missed. The staff members are so nice and the physical space amazing!

Hurrica is a truly wonderful place with a rare view that feels like a true hidden gem. Despite being open for just two months, it transports you to a beautiful waterfront, reminiscent of the Mediterranean or Miami, where the view alone can take your breath away. Not many places like this exist in the Bay area. The food is delightful, offering flavorful dishes alongside non-alcoholic options, which we greatly appreciated. The service is friendly and inviting. Even without a reservation, we found ourselves comfortably seated at the bar, where we could enjoy the full menu.We kicked it off with the sashimi starter, which was unexpectedly delicious, featuring a subtle complexity over slightly fried rice, giving it a unique twist. The pork chop was tender, perfectly cooked, and accompanied by a sauce rich in flavors with mushrooms, onions, and vegetables. The side dish of marble potatoes with parmigiana and horse radish, and wild mushrooms with ponzu-like sauce was also a standout. An added bonus was the yacht club located above the restaurant, offering stunning views of the marina and bay. We're definitely planning a return visit and highly recommend Hurrica to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Our first experience was a very pleasant surprise. The building and decor are wonderful and the food was amazing and delicious. The servers were prompt and efficient and pleasant. The only complaint we had was the noise level is off the charts!! Someone who had hearing difficulties would have a hard time hearing their table mates. This should be addressed. They also have valet parking available for a fee and lots of self-parking. There is outdoor seating which will be wonderful when the weather is warm. We will definitely return.

I picked the spot because my wife likes to eat on the water and the menu looked good. We had the ahi appetizer. I liked it. The wife said it was a little too much citrus. She had the Tiger Shrimp salad with udon. I had tge seared mahi. Both were excellent. The only complaint my wife had was the wine price was high and tge pour seemed a bit small. Service was excellent. We will be back.

If the food were as good as the architecture, Hurrica would be a gem. I've eaten there twice. Both times I was so taken with the building and the view, not to mention the aquarium, that I tried to forget about the food. It is OKAY. But not crisp French fries? BIG hamburger bun but tiny bit of meat? Wonderful Tiger Prawns but very so-so salad ingredients? Dessert not good at all. If you are sitting in the main Dining room, the view makes up for it all, along with the jellyfish. In the small darkish dining room one can only concentrate on the food. Which is not very good. The wait staff is wonderful! The hostess the same. But the kitchen has to do better. I am a very big fan of Waterbar and assumed that the food would be as good. It is not. I wish it were. I want Hurrica to succeed.

Our third time there. First time for dinner. Food is great and reasonable for the quality. They are still having some growing pain issues for dinner as it was packed and they are training staff but when they get that pulled together it will be excellent. Great view and outdoor area for seating.

This new restaurant has seemingly overcome its service issues that earlier reviewers spoke of. Our servers could not be more pleasant and professional with Joseph a real gem. The food is good! Even excellent. There were some interesting and creative food combinations that delighted our party of four. Everything was outstanding, from the appetizers to the dessert. I perceive that the quality of the unprepared ingredients had a lot to do with the good taste as well. Bravo! chef. The only negative was that we were seated near a party of eight and it was noisy enough that we had trouble hearing one another in spite of our leaning over the table. We will return.

Fantastic new spot on the Peninsula overlooking a peaceful harbor on the Bay. We sat outside with our pup - very dog friendly. We tried the seafood chowder, fried chicken sandwich, tombo tuna sandwich and two desserts - salted caramel soft serve and an apple caramel custard. Everything was delicious - the chicken sandwich was a stand out. Huge juicy breast on a delicious potato bun. Excellent Parmesan fries. Service was very relaxed and easy going - attentive but hot pushy. We had perfect weather so the entire lunch experience was just terrific. And there is easy parking. Prices reflect the view and location. Overall great new spot and we will definitely be back.
