My wife is from TX and we always go out for BBQ when we visit her family. Also had BBQ from St. Louis to GA and from KC to NC. Been looking for a local place that has good BBQ for years and now we've found it. Jack's Fire is hands down the best we've had in the SF Bay Area. We got Jack's Family Meal #2 with brisket. We will be going back often. Can't wait to work our way through the rest of the menu. Now we don't need to fly to TX for good BBQ. Yee-haa!

The BBQ is AMAZING. I am from Texas and know a thing or two about good BBQ. This is the best Texas style BBQ I have had outside Texas. Period. Jack and Kathy, are you open this Saturday - May 22, 2021? I called yesterday but did not get an answer. Hoping you are not on vacation.

I can't believe it took me this long to make the drive to Jack's Fire. Sad to hear this was their last day. The St. Luis ribs are amazing and I regret not ordering a full rack. You can really tell how much care has gone into producing these delicious ribs. The sweet sauce on the side is the perfect compliment to the dry rub on the ribs.

Today I picked up my order and found out Jack's Fire is serving their last great bbq on Saturday 5/15/21. They are closing. So sad to see them go. Left my email and hope I get notified if they open again. Goodbye and good luck on your next endeavor.

The st Louis ribs are full 5 star. My wife is from StL and she agrees. This is the place for ribs. The coleslaw is also 5 star. The granny apple is a great plus. Some of the other meats (pastrami) are fatty beyond normal. But that's easy to cut around. I hate the fact they are closing. They were on the cusp of being a true all time 5 star. I know it is the time they opened and the reality of the pandemic Let's hope great things for Jack and the family in the future. Their values are solid and their care of us, the customer, is fantastic

We were getting tired of the same 3 options for Friday night dinner and wanted to try something new. I had bookmarked Jack’s right after they opened, but never made it until now. Boy do I regret waiting this long. This could’ve made covid lockdowns better, but better late than never. We got a family meal: St. Louis ribs, brisket, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. The ribs were so so good. They were tender and flavorful and do not need to be sauced. Brisket was great, especially with the sauce. I also really enjoyed the apple jicama coleslaw. Washed it all down with an IPA and that was what I’d call a successful Friday dinner.Jack was incredibly friendly and helpful. All covid safety protocols were followed: masks, gloves, etc. They have two tables outside if you wanted to eat there instead of taking it home.Portions were generous, food was tasty, service was friendly. Basically everything that you want out of a neighborhood staple.

We got a family meal from this lovely place today and it was delicious. My favorites were pulled pork and Maca-n-cheese. We really enjoyed the meal and will definitely come back.

Beef ribs here are ridiculously good. Highly recommend! Pair them with a side of mac and cheese and you'll be in food heaven!

Delicious pork ribs. Tender and tasty. Got the 1/2 rack and mac n cheese. No sauce needed on the ribs. My friend ordered the beef rib. It too was succulent and tasty. No additional sauce needed.Jack was a gracious host. We also had a taste of his brisket. It was extremely tender and moist. I used the bbq sauce on it and it was quite tasty. Can't wait to go again!

Best bbq I've had in California. Incredible Texas style brisket and St. Louis style ribs. Super friendly staff and enormous sides. Highly recommended.

Awesome beef ribs, brisket, and sides. I consider myself a BBQ connoisseur and this place is one of the best in the Bay Area.

Ordered a family dinner with ribs and tri-tip. Since they didn't have enough ribs, we had pulled pork too. We were blown away with the spicy green beans, delicious beans, and BBQ sauce! Highly recommend this bbq meats at this restaurant and can't wait to return!

I have been getting food from the other restaurants here and kept meaning to try Jack's. Why did I wait so long! We has the St. Louis ribs, brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, slaw, and cornbread. All were delicious! All the meat was tender as only long and slow cooking can accomplish and the rub on the ribs made them our favorite. Can't wait to try the other items.

I really wanted to rank this place higher but unfortunately the bbq did not hold up to expectations. Got brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, and string beans. Service was super nice over the phone and when picking up. I think the sides were better than the bbq. String beans had great flavor and had good texture. Mac and cheese was good, a bit undersalted but the crunch from the breadcrumbs was really good. Now, on to the meats. The ribs had phenomenal texture, bit cleanly off the bone but still held together. The flavor though just wasn't doing it for me, not enough smoky flavor and was kind of lacking. Brisket was in the same camp as the ribs. Not enough flavor, and I thought it was not really juicy either. Maybe I'll give them another try later but I was underwhelmed. bbq standings: 1. capelos 2. saucebelly 3. 3 pigs 4. jack's fire 5. armadillo willys
