Love the quality of food, and I especially love that they have aloha shoyu soy sauce, that makes the food next level if you have the real stuff ?

You can't beat the price for the amount of meat you get. Their brown rice: 5 out of 5.

Surprised at how good the food was. We tried this place many years ago after a trip to Hawaii expecting it to be the same as we got in Hawaii. I remember at that time we didn't return because it wasn't the same (probably not surprising). My son said he wanted to go here for dinner and I reluctantly agreed. This time I enjoyed the food and liked the reasonable price. I got the "BBQ beef" and want to go back for the chicken katsu. I didn't have the same expectation about the food that I did with our first visit many years ago. Whatever type of food (cooking style) is served at L&L it's tasty in its own right.

The food was amazing! Chicken katsu plate was great compared to other places i've been to. The rice and macaroni salad were good sides as well. I tried their cheeseburger and spam musubi too, also certified bangers! The only complaint I have about the food is that they give you A LOT of the chicken katsu and i would recommend eating it if you are very hungry, like you havent aten in 4 days. Solid place overall though! Good service, friendly lady in front, the inside of the place is normal

When I went to graduate school in Hawaii, there was an L&L Hawaiian Barbeque shop a couple blocks away from where I lived in Kailua. While it's not there anymore, L&L managed to expand its operations to the West Coast of the Mainland and I couldn't be happier! :-DAnd, of all the L&L's I've been to here on the Mainland, this particular one feels the most "local" to me. I got my usual Mini BBQ Chicken Plate, and this one was the best of all the L&L's I've eaten on the Mainland. The service was fast and friendly, too!Next time I'm in this area, I'm definitely making it a point to stop in.
