Hidden Gem of Authentic Mexican Cuisine Rating: (5/5) I recently stumbled upon this hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant, and it turned out to be an unforgettable culinary adventure. Tucked away in a cozy corner of Redwood city, this place may not look like much from the outside, but trust me, the food speaks for itself. The flautas were a revelation. I tried the carne asada and were packed with tender, seasoned meat and topped with vibrant, homemade salsas and fresh salad. Prices are reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of food you receive. I left with a happy heart and a full stomach, promising myself to return soon. Parking is good! If you're a fan of authentic Mexican cuisine and are willing to venture off the beaten path, this hole-in-the-wall restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Don't let its unassuming exterior fool you; it's a culinary treasure waiting to be discovered. Cant wait to go back and try everything else!

Would give the customer service a 0/5 if I could. Told cashier 3 times no cheese because I'm very allergic. Got my food went back because it had cheese. Told me she wasn't going to fix it nor give me my money back because she said I did not tell her anything. She refused to do anything, took about 10 minutes to finally give me my money back.

There were some people there enjoying their food, unfortunately I was not one of them. For me the burrito is the most basic meal you can order, if that is not good, that says a lot about the place. Never going back.

It's a small grocery store, but has lots of items at decent price. Employees are very friendly.

Tacos dorado and enchiladas with dry fried beef! Got chicken tacos. The tacos were so crispy and meat was very flavorful! The enchiladas with dry fried beef was interesting. The beef is like a crispy beef jerky texture. I had a language barrier when ordering so just point what you want on the menu.

One of the best tamales I've had in decades!. My Spanish is not so good but I managed to get myself understood and I'm glad not only a great green chicken tamale covered in creme and diced tomato but the rice and beans were to my liking. Will be back if I ever come this way again.

Had a super burrito with beef in red sauce. Not sure it could have been any better.chips were crispy, fresh, and the red salsa that came with the chips was perfection.best ratio of ingredients I've had in a while -- mostly meat as it should be.

Market is small, mainly go for fresh tortillas. The restaurant serves the best carnitas tacos I've had. (I thought El Greullense was best until I tried these!! The fresh tortillas they use take the tacos to another level.)

Very tasty chiaqueles Comes with rice and beans. Even though they serve breakfast I was shocked and disappointed that they didn't have coffee. It doesn't take much to make a single cup with the right filter etc. The women running the place are very nice.
