Food was decent but the bad review is for the bad orange juice that they served. My friend ordered it and said it tasted funny. I took a sip and It tasted old and was slightly fizzy so it was starting to turn to alcohol. And I saw the waitress and cook smell the container and throw it away. Afterwards my friend got really bad diarrhea.

Great local diner where customers and staff know each other. Good simple, tasty food and great service. Country potatoes done well without unnecessary added extras so safe for my gluten free diet. My husband had the eggs florentine and enjoyed them thoroughly. Highly recommended. Great start to the day.

Prompt & efficient service, bland food- Seated quickly. Barely any people there at 11:30am on a Sunday, which was surprising.- Served in a reasonable amount of time- Eggs Benedict was about average; not great, not awful. Reasonable amount of sauce, and meat and eggs were fine, but it just had no flavor, not much in the way of guilty butteryness.- Country potatoes were disappointing. Flavorless, not crispy in the slightest. At least they weren't rock-hard.

Perfect brunch! I loved their thick pancakes which was the best one I had in my life. We also had an omeltte which was pretty good too. Price was reasonable. Staffs were friendly. Outdoor seating was available.

I was torn between the eggs Benedict or the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. The super friendly waitress suggested the Chicken Fried Steak. Wow! Was she right. This was the best breakfast I’ve had in Years! The eggs were cooked to a Perfect over easy doneness. The white was done and soft with a perfectly runny yolk. The Chicken Fried Steak was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The gravy was super flavorful with a nice consistency. Oh, and the Hash Browns were just like the steak. Crispy Brown on the outside and wonderfully tender on the inside. This is a hidden gem when it comes to breakfast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Love this place. Moved away during COVID I try to make it there when I am in town. Known John for years and frequent his restaurants downtown.

The food here is definitely below my expectations of a 4.5 star place. The corned beef hash is pink, undercooked and watery on the inside. The scrambled eggs and hash browns are fine. The owner/manager who greeted us at the entrance is actually very nice and respectful, but the service staff was rushing us to order and finish the meal (we were there for 30 min).

Came here for Sunday brunch because I craved American style breakfast and I wanted to try a new restaurant (not our typical one). This was a bas idea…The place was half full but the service was slow. Servers was not particularly rude, but they served with a frown, rather a smile. And, I don’t like that they put the receipt on my table when I haven’t finished yet.We ordered the classic, Bacon with two eggs and hash browns, with a side of white toast & jam, and Chef’s crepes (basically it was just ham, sausage, bacon, onions, mushrooms & cheese) and with a side of 2 eggs (costed $4).The classic breakfast was fine, you could not go wrong with bacon and eggs, but the hash browns could be better. The only good was the white toast. For the crepes, I could only say we have has better crepes than this. The side potatoes was bad. They said .Crunchy. potatoes, but these were nowhere near crunchy.Overall, bad experience during my first time to Redwood City.Parking: Limited street parking nearby and plenty of public garage parking lots

Recommended dishes: French Toast, Two Egg Breakfast

Place is not half full and service was super slow on a Saturday for lunch. Regular brunch/sandwich fare. My kid didn't like the pancakes (and it's hard to get those wrong!), my fish taco was meh...

My daughter and I came here for breakfast. It was our first time, so I did not know what to expect. It sure didn't take me long to decide what time order. One of my favorite breakfasts is huevos rancheros. It has been quite a while since I had huevos rancheros with a side of pico de gallo. Another favorite was the loco moco.Eats: huevos rancheros; beverage, Arnold Palmer. My breakfast was on point and muy bueno. The "palmer" was refreshing - nice balance of iced tea and lemonade. My daughter had French toast and sausage. She must have enjoyed her breakfast because she certainly did not talk much and finished eating before I did.Service was excellent. The waiter was attentive and pleasant. He was engaging in conversation.Ambiance: well lit restaurant, and very clean, comfy and casual. Dining experience was wonderful. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining. Street parking nearby.
